Potential Title Unification

Postby Settee » Nov 24, '13, 9:53 pm

At the end of survivor series it looked like the WWE is hinting towards unifying the WWE and WHC belts. I really hope this is the case, as long as Orton doesn't become unified champion.

Does this mean Orton and Cena will retain every PPV from now until Wrestlemania?

It kind of feels that way at the moment. At least, I have a strong feeling that Cena will be beating Orton for the WWE title at Mania. Not sure he'll still be WHC.

It's horrific how they've fucked everything up lately. It feels like 2009 again.

Pros and con of this.

Pro. There will be only one champion, which is the way it should be.

Con. It will be either Randy Orton or John Cena.

The match is on at TLC (The next PPV). Hopefully it leads to someone new (Bryan) winning the Rumble and facing Cena or Orton for the title at Mania?

I would rather see Cena become Unified Champion than Orton at this point in time. I realized after last night I hate Orton more than I hate Cena, at least Cena can have entertaining matches.

Won't happen, but I'd like to see Jericho win the Rumble and get in the title unification match, and do it all over again.

It is happening, At TLC. I hope Bryan wins rumble and we get Cena vs Bryan 2 at mania.

I'm going to call what happens at TLC. Both guys manage to pull down a belt, therefore remaining champions. To make it even more irritating, they're both going to pull down the title that they didn't previously own - adding to the world title counts of both in the cheapest way imaginable and getting the main title back on Cena.

Hopefully title unification does happen at Wrestlemania. But I don't buy that it's going to happen at TLC.

Wow, that would be terrible. If Jericho ever deserved that kind of accolade then it was a looooong time ago. And that's a big if.

I thought about this last night as I heard the announcement. I'd almost bet money this will happen.

I agree that's the only reason they made a big deal about both belts hanging from the ceiling for them to grab.

Yeah I kind of thought the same thing. What the hell is the point?

Also there is no way they put the type of money into the new WWE championship they did to drop it a few months later.

Which is why I see them dropping the World Heavyweight/WCW title and keeping the WWE title as the "Undisputed WWE championship" when they eventually unify the titles. Which is a shame because I think the big gold belt is the best looking world title belt ever. But it does still represent WCW somewhat.

It definitely is the best looking belt of all time, but they need to retire the big gold belt because it has lost all prestige. The WHC means nothing anymore and its a shame considering its history. I want them to just keep the current WWE title as their only main belt because it actually means something.

Maybe unless the do the unification match at TLC which can happen. The rematch at the Rumble, Cena or Orton vs 5 others at Elimination Chamber and the Rumble winner at Mania
