Rough Book Cover

Very rough. Been working on it the last couple of hours. I think the idea worked better in my head than it does on the page. Thinking I might have to try and detract focus from a lot of the black text somehow. I also want to have the bottom left corner of the page curling up, and have some of the other posters I've put together arranged underneath.

I like the idea but there's a lot going on in that image for a book cover. Maybe try it without so much text?

Yeah, pretty much the same conclusion I've come to. Will probably try a stripped down version, or fading the extra text so only the important stuff stands out.

Great piece of work. I agree with prophet though - for a book cover, it probably needs slimming down a tad. It would certainly catch my eye in a book shop though.

Was curious so I figured I'd see if taking out a lot of the red and limiting it to only the vital information would make it any more readable. I also cleaned up some of the crinkly paper effect around the red text but I think I took that a little too far. :lol

I'd still probably fade all the other text so that only the important information (author, title etc) is prominent. The colour change looks good though.

I like it. Like most said, the first one you poster had a bit too much and was a bit distracting. The last one you posted looks better.

I like it, it's cool. But for a book cover it has way too much stuff going on. It hurts my tiny brain.

I'd get rid of 90% of the text and just add in a couple of wrestlers or something to keep the theme going.

It's pretty cool, and the more recent versions are better than the first, but I think it's still a little crowded. Is there a way you could obliterate some of the text? i.e. have part of the poster be torn off, be really stained, or bleached maybe?
