I think live hockey is the best sports experience.

So I've been to my fair share of AHL games, because of the Milwaukee Admirals. Even though it's not exactly the same as NHL hockey, it's still a blast. The games are fun to watch, they do a good job of getting the fans involved, and it always feels like you're right on top of the action, as opposed to football games, where you're really far away from stuff a lot of the time.

I used to go to a lot of college hockey games, and the Wisconsin Badgers are usually among the best teams in the nation. Those were also a blast, but a student crowd can make anything great.

Last week I went to my first ever NHL game while I was in south Florida, and saw Jaromir Jagr's Florida Panthers debut. It was a blast. Not only was it a really entertaining game, but once again, it just feels like you're so close to the action that it's so easy to stay interested.

It's funny because I don't ever really watch pro hockey on TV, for a couple reasons:

1. There's not really a local team that I can support, which makes it harder to get invested in the league.

2. It's really hard to track where the puck is on TV, which isn't a problem at all in person.

But I think live hockey might be the best live sports experience. Football is by far my favorite sport, but let's be real, there are way more perks to watching the game at home. I think hockey and baseball are the two sports that are way better in person, but especially hockey because I can actually see what's going on :lol

What do ya'll canucks think @Str8Shooter @HFX

damn you ain't even going to give your boy @Circled Square a shoutout wtf I'm CANADIAN DAMN IT

Anyway, I've never been to a hockey game. The games get intense at times but are often boring and not memorable. I can watch a hockey game in the playoffs, but not in the regular season. Good post though lol.

Damn Tim if you got that jazzed up about a Panthers game I can't imagine how much you'd like going to a game where the arena was sold out with a crazy crowd! :P

I think hockey games are pretty good experiences. It's definitely a sport that might be actually better with the Live experience and being up close and personal.

Football probably has the rowdiest crowds and the most overall noise, but there's a lot of stoppages in play, and sometimes in my experience with a crowd and stadium so big it can be hard to do anything other than watch the game in your seat.

I only went to one Live NBA game so I can't really comment too much but it was alright for a preseason contest.

Baseball I enjoy mainly because it's cool to just sit in the crowd with a beer and a hotdog and chat with friends and just enjoy a nice day outside with a more laid back environment with less screaming and yelling.

I think European soccer probably would be up there in terms of fan experience too with all the singing and passionate fans and rivalries going back hundreds of years. But I haven't experienced that myself yet unfortunately.

Yeah, hockey is pretty great in person, especially when your team scores. Years back when I was younger I used to get box seats from a friend and they were some of the greatest times of my childhood.

Haha, it wasn't just so much the fact that it was a Panthers game. Badger hockey games were way more fun, I just like being so close to the action all the time.

For me a college football game will always be the best in game experience at a stadium. I mean you've got over 100,000 rowdy screaming people that can actually make a huge concrete structure shake. It's just amazing being in that environment where half the crowd never sits down for the entire game.

Hockey is great though and it's by far the sport where the experience improves the most being there live compared to watching on TV.

I however also want to shout out going to a baseball game on a warm, sunny day and sitting in the bleachers. It's not exactly an intense experience, but just lots of fun to hang out with friends, watch the game and chat.
