Is there anyone here who's seen Gravity or Captain Philips?

Going out with a girl to the cinema on Monday night, she said she likes the look of both of these films. Obviously the better the film, the better the night out. Wondering if anyone has seen them.

I'd say go with Gravity because of the director. He's done a couple good films. The guy who directed Captain Phillips is a shitty filmmaker. I haven't seen either of these by the way.

I saw Gravity. Very good visuals and special effects, but there are a number of things about it that annoyed me. I know everyone's raving about it, but it's not that great.

It's not a bad movie by any means. But it's most certainly overrated.

They both look excellent. I've seen from a few clips from Gravity and it looks like a visually orgasmic treat.

I saw Gravity the other night and thought it was good. 3D once again doing it's best to ruin everything though.

It certainly wasn't as bad as so many before it but I think beneficial is a stretch. Gravity's setting would have been breathtaking regardless of 3D.

My hate for it stems from having to watch a movie through dark sunglasses in a dark room. Not from what it can or can't do to make the film better.
