The crowd was all-in for Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose so this isn't true and I'm 100% positive the crowd goes wild (in a good way) if Ziggler wins the Rumble. It wasn't until both Ziggler and Ambrose were eliminated that a "bullshit" chant started.
The fans were pissed that Daniel Bryan didn't win but the fans were more pissed because neither of the three biggest fan favorites won. All three generate louder reactions than Reigns although you could argue it is close between Ambrose and Reigns now due to the WWE killing off the former's momentum.
Roman Reigns just isn't who the face the fans want to see the most - not even in the top three. I agree he generates a solid reaction from the crowd on most nights and that is because the fans don't dislike him. But when you match him up with Ziggler, Ambrose, and Bryan? It is CLEAR who the crowd prefers and that is the bad part here. The WWE would rather force you into liking someone than choose one of the three guys the crowd prefers to see.
It isn't the case anymore but Cesaro last year before they fucked him over was generating a louder crowd reaction than Reigns too. Roman Reigns is popular but he isn't
that popular compared to those guys because quite frankly, and this is coming from someone who likes Reigns and thinks he has a lot of potential, he just isn't
that good. The crowd was booing because they know the hand-picked guy would win over the individuals who the crowd was rooting for the most.
The greatest thing about it all is that it isn't like the fans were just cheering those guys to spite the company. Ziggler, Ambrose, and Bryan are all babyfaces. This is not about Daniel Bryan. This is about the WWE once again saying "fuck you" to the fans and refusing to go with the guys the fans are clearly behind the most.
