For the sake of transparency, my understanding is this:

-There was a big argument in the gun control thread, particularly between Locke/Daz/Saucernips
-It got out of hand, I locked it
-Locke sent an apology to Daz, Daz accepted
-Daz mentioned that he'd told me over Skype that he suggested locking the thread
-Apparently the fact that I was talking to Daz on Skype is unforgivable, and so he's left the site and blocked me on Facebook

I don't have the full story here I'm sure, but that's about all I can come up with

Locke, yes you helped create this place. This doesn't mean that your opinions on matters are more valid than others, and when someone feels you're wrong or are being a dick, they'll tell you. You 're a member of this community like everyone else and will be treated as such. Your post sounds very high and mighty and smacks of someone who thinks of himself as better than other members on here, and in that case, I'm glad you're not in a position of authority anymore. Everything you wrote sounded like something Bryan Eggers would say.

You are quite a controversial member on these boards. I remember us having a falling out because of some blatant homophobic comments you posted on WWE-Club about a transgender MMA fighter, and you've found yourself in the midst of a few controversies during our short time here. It seems that if someone disagrees with you, you become very petty and resort to ridiculous measures. Frankly, this amazes me as I'd expect someone with a lengthy history in both creating and participating in online forums to have a thicker skin.

If you're going to leave, I won't stop you. But I feel that what you're doing is ridiculous and honestly quite pathetic. Instead of leaving the forum behind, you need to leave behind your attitude of self-entitlement. You're a 29 year old man with children, yet leaving the forum in this manner is something I'd expect of someone half your age. If this is what you want to do though, so be it.

I've not read the thread in question (nor do I plan too) so I've no idea why Locke is so upset but I'd advise you not to up and leave. You were involved in a similar conflict with myself not so long ago and we moved past it pretty quickly so I'm pretty sure you can do the same again here. I do think you have a tendency to be a little dramatic and take things to heart but you shouldn't be leaving because of it...at the end of the day it's just a silly online argument, hardly anything to let effect you in real life.

Dude, granted we have only heard Daz and Tims side of the story but if that's really how it went then I really don't see what the big deal is. You got into a heated argument with a member.
