Zola's got no chance.

Adams has got the job on a three year deal. A big surprise. What happened to the other candidates? Assume Mackay might fancy Celtic job?

Neil Adams gets the job full time? Whaaaat

and the crowd goes mild...

Tributes are ablaze across Social Media as Shola Ameobi has finally been let go by Newcastle. Here is his record during his time there.

Shite. Why they kept him so long I'll never know.

^ I would laugh, but we've had Agbonlahor on our books for years, who despite having a slightly better goals to appearances ratio than Ameobi, has made considerably less substitute appearances.

CL Final tomorrow lads. Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid. Who you going for?

A tough call but I think the pressure will, sadly, ultimately show for Real. Perez will lose his rag if they lose to Atletico. Ancelotti will be under big pressure but will ultimately survive because there are no major candidates available.

I'd want Real to win purely because of Ronaldo and it'd be good to see him win the trophy that he, and a host of big name players, have been bought by Real.

I see Atletico scoring late in the game, 60-70mins, and winning 1-0.

I want Atletico to win and hope they do, we were sat right on the very first row in-front of them at the Nou Camp last weekend and celebrated with them at the final whistle (and then after the game in a few bars) and so I consider myself an honorary fan.

I reckon Real'll do it though. They've got a far superior squad and Atletico are missing a few key players (Costa, Turan) plus they'll be hell bent on winning it. Atletico will give it everything I'm sure but will they want it as much as the Real players? Now they've won the league I don't think it's as important a game for them as it is for Real. I'll go for 2-0 to Real and if that's the case I'll look forward to seeing Bale with the trophy!

Also, here's a video of Vincent Kompany confronting Yaya Toure after hearing he wanted to leave:

Holy shit.

Cole leaving not a surprise. Lampard would be. I think they'll sign him up for another year but if he's available. I imagine he'll retire from internationals after the WC and go to LA Galaxy for a career wind-down.

Also, just remembered that in the FA Cup final - unlike other missed opportunities, i.e the final league game of the PL season - that they held a minute's applause during the game to remember the 56 of Valley Parade fire. It was a nice touch. Apparently BT Sport got hammered for not mentioning it whilst ITV did when it happened.

Brilliant to hear.

In other news Chelsea agree the sale of David Luiz to PSG for somewhere in the region of 40-50 million pounds. In other other news the world has gone mad.

In this day and age I'd pay no more than 13 million for David Luiz.

Abramovich, Mourinho are laughing all the way to the bank. £50m for a defender-who-plays-in-DM-but-also-can-play-as-a-defender.

PSG completely overvalued him.

David Luiz is now the most expensive defender of all time.

Think about that.

Great news lads - Harry Redknapp is back in the Premier League.

:favre

Now we'll have to see his smug son on Sky Sports for the evening or ITV have Gerrard-Keane in for the CL final.

And Real beat Atletico 4-1. Atletico hardly had the ball in the second and it's not really a surprise RM scored late. It was coming for about 40 minutes.

What a final. The scoreline in no way reflects the story of the match.

I'd say Real deserved to win based on their tenacity and persistence in the second half. I just felt it was coming, their equaliser. Simeone made a big error in picking Costa when he was clearly not fit, wasted a valuable substitution that he could have used later on when it was needed. Casillas could have saved his RM career with that win because he'd have got bollocked had they lost 1-0 on a goal that he was at fault for.

Modric, Marcelo were key in getting them back into the game in the second half. Khedira was woeful, Modric wasn't seeing alot of the ball but Marcelo provided some bite in their wingplay. Ramos header was excellent; within stoppage time limits so don't what Simeone's gripe can be about it.

Then it was a case of Atletico tiring and Madrid taking advantage. Bale should have buried the first half chance but I guess when you want to be a top player, it's about being brave to continue to put yourself in those positions and glad he did score. I did want Real to win due to my affection for Ronaldo; reward for Bale's move from Spurs to giant world of Real Madrid and Ancelotti because of his career as a coach and he's a classy dude. Three European Cups as a coach, two as a player and also joins Mourinho, Heynckes, Hitzfeld in winning a European Cup with two different clubs. Incredible.

It's Miller delight! Rotherham United beat Leyton Orient on penalties to get to the Championship!

I've got to say, it was captivating stuff. Rotherham tbf, didn't play that badly in the first half to be 2-0 down but had Leyton scored a third, it really would have been game over. Revell's second goal was a beauty (even big Evans did a jog down the touchline!) and had they really pushed, might have nicked a third quickly after that.

You can tell these two teams were tied on points in the league, really close battle but both sides looking to win. Penalties from Leyton Orient were all well taken besides the two missed but brilliant moment for the town. Steve Evans, despite his errors in behaviour in the past, has done a brilliant job but with the right spending, could do enough to survive in the Championship next season.
