So....John's Cena's back early....

Postby Headlesspete » Oct 10, '13, 7:03 pm

First anti Cena topic of this new forum! ;)

As announced on Raw, the World title will be on the line come Hell in a Cell as Del Rio defends against the returning John Cena.

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed of he's coming back. I know the ratings may not be where they need to, but him coming back is automatically killing a lot of my new enthusiasm for the WWE. I feel like he's going to do his usual shit, piss everyone off, and beat this new regime after they beat Bryan. And for all those that think this is some blind Cena hate, i assure you its not. I've praised Cena for things in the past (The Punk feud, certain aspects of the Cena/Rock feud, Bryan vs Cena for SummerSlam) but the fact remains, John Cena kills almost everyone's credibility around him whilst simultaneously making himself yet again the star of the show.

So yeah....awesome for WWE, awful for me. If its gonna go back to the Cena and friends show, I may just tune back out again.

I feel your pain, I was pissed off over on the other forum he was coming and walking STRAIGHT back into the title picture. Its kind of a spit in the face to the Zigglers of the roster who have earned the shot and deserve the title.

I would love to see Del Rio finally lose the belt and have Sandow cash in on Cena.

Knew it wouldn't be long :lol I feel it is was too fast to bring him back but that just shows you they really have no idea what to do with the World title right now. I thought it would be smart to give RVD the title but what do I know, Cena is a much better choice :roll I'm not anti Cena it's just me being mad they couldn't come up with a fresh, new contender for ADR but instead they go back to a probably still injured Cena.

Cena is doing the same thing that HHH used to do by taking the spotlight from the younger talent, its slowly killing the WWE.

I think it's great. Cena holding the WHC gives the title some importance and finally rids us of Del Rio - if Cena is staying away from the bigger picture for a while what's the harm in that? I look forward to potentially seeing him work with new guys.

That being said, they really handled his return announcement horribly. Vickie Guerrero just sort of nonchalantly let it slip mid-way through RAW during a boring back-and-forth with Del Rio. You figure announcing John Cena's miracle return so early they'd have hyped it up a bit better.

IF they could find away to put the WHC on him. For a bit and keep him away from the corporate storylinbe than I wouldn't care. But It would have been nice to see him off tv for a bit longer. And honestly would have made more sense to have him wait until Bryan and than the next top face couldn't beat the corporation than come in and save the day.

As much as I hate his run and find it ultra boring, I'd take ADR as WHC over Cena as WHC tbf

I just have this feeling he won't make HIAC. Wouldn't surprise me if ADR attacks him somewhere and injures his arm before it heals. Failing that, Having Cena win.... ADR go bezerk and reinjure his arm before Sandow cashes in would be nice. Gets Sandow the titile by beating Cena which helps regain a small token of credability. ADR looks like a badass and Cena is injured and comes back at Rumble and can have a short program with ADR before his Mania story.

I think this is the first time in Del Rio's title reign that I actually want him to retain. :/ This is kind of sad.

I don't have a problem with Cena coming back. I haven't noticed any huge improvement in Raw with him not on it. Their booking problems go deeper than just too much Cena.

I don't think he's coming back (yet), I think it was BS from the new "face Vicky" to scare ADR into a loss from Ricardo.

Christian can pull a muscle and he's out for a year and a half. Cena can get his arm cut off and he's back in two months.

Nah I said it on the old forum and I'll say it here again... I'm almost positive he is coming back and working hurt for one match so that they can get the belt on Sandow.

Even for Cena, coming back this quickly from an injury like that would be nothing short of a miracle, it's just too damn fast... and even if he'd healed that fast I don't think the WWE would be willing to risk their biggest star by bringing him back that quick, it just makes no business sense at all.

It was nice rubbing this in Cena 54's face. He, for some reason, was so convinced that Cena was never ever gonna return. I don't know why he thought that. Now he is tryna act like he always thought he would return.

There is SOMETHING about John Cena though, something that just magnetizes World Championships to him..........even on WWE 13, I played a WWE Universe style year where a roll of the dice decided who won the title when and with each title defence, another roll of the dice determined whether they would lose the title or retain........he won and then retained the title for a whole year......then I tried again, this time controlling one Superstar in each Title Match, by flipping a coin........guess what he retained the title for another year.

There's just something about him and World Titles.
