PCW Power Rankings

Postby SKS » Mar 15, '14, 10:08 am

I thought it would be cool to get some power rankings up, and they'd be updated with a new rankings thread after every PPV - You can rank the top 10 with some comments and I can tally up all the points (10 points for #1 ranking, 9 points for #2, etc.) for the overall rankings. I think it'd be best not to rank yourself. :lol

CURRENT PCW ROSTER:
Ace
“Adorable” Adrian Dale
"The Savior" Amos Hess
"BJ" Bradley Johnson Washington
The Buck
Calvin Comeau
Carter Comeau
"The British Rose" Daz
“Dazzling” Dean Brody
Gabriel Reece
Gia DiFiero
Gryphon Richard
Hiroshi "Hiro" Sato
"Double J" Jake Jimenez
Johnny Valentino
Kaiser Cavanah
Kid Spartan
Magnum Phillips
Orion Bishop
Matt Sears
Melissa Chambers
Nick Foster
"The Buffalo" Omega
Ryan Haynes
Sean Knight
"The Assassin" Spencer Miller
Theodore Barry
"The A-List" Zaid

You can rank the tag teams/stables as one if you'd like.

I'll get mine up in the replies. :tim

Re: PCW Power Rankings

Guess I'll start us off.

1. Kaiser Cavanah - PCW Champion, coming off a victory against Daz at Oblivion. Pretty straight forward #1 slot.

2. Nick Foster - I'd say Foster has been on a hot streak since Escalation even though he did have a loss to Zaid due to Miller's interference. He has looked strong every week, and a huge win in the LMS match has him at #2.

3. Daz - Coming so close to winning the PCW Championship at Oblivion, I can't have Daz any lower than #3. One of the best in the business and he'll most likely get back to #1 somewhere down the road.

4. The Disciples: Amos Hess, Ted Barry, & Sean Knight - I'll put these three here at #4. Tormenting Omega & Gryphon for weeks now, and they capped it off with a win in their match at Oblivion, albeit in a 3 on 2 match. Backed up their words and got the job done.

5. Neo Runway Chic: Adrian Dale, Dean Brody, & Melissa Chambers - 2nd faction on the list comes in at #5. New PCW Tag Team Champions, if not for the strong showing of the 4 slots above I'd probably have them closer to #2.

6. Omega & Gryphon Richard - Although they lost at Oblivion, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as both men have looked strong against The Disciples going back to the start of PCW, and since it was a handicap match.

7. Magnum Phillips - Scoring a KO victory against Orion Bishop at Oblivion, I have Magnum here at #7. The bruiser has made quite an impact so far, defeating Bishop and calling out The Buck.

8. Johnny Valentino & Gia DiFiero - I feel like Johnny V & Zaid are quite equal, and a nice feud seemingly came to close at Oblivion, with Johnny V finally getting the upper hand on Zaid.

9. Zaid - Just below Johnny V due to the loss, Zaid has looked strong for his time in PCW. No doubt he can get under his opponent's skin, and this should lead to some wins in the future.

10. The Brothers Comeau: Calvin & Carter - Rounding out the top 10 are The Brothers Comeau, who put on an awesome showing against Neo Runway Chic in the best of 3 tag team matches.

Kaiser Cavanah - Retained his title after a classic, the only choice for number one.

Daz - Didn't bring home the gold but he didn't tap out and in the aforementioned classic came out looking like a badass.

NRC - Came from behind to win the tag title series despite having adversity in their camp. Impressive.

Spencer Miller - Has been ruthless since the start of PCW, didn't get the win at Oblivion but proved himself a fierce and dangerous competitor.

The Disciples - Big win against their bitter rivals at the PPV, scary to think who they'll target next.

Magnum Phillips - Has been impressive ever since his debut and shown no signs of slowing down. He's an asshole but it's working for him. Big PPV win.

Omega/Gryphon - Couldn't quite manage to get the job done but had the numbers deficit working against them. Showed heart in fighting the sadistic Disciples as hard as they did and Gryphon shone during the match.

Zaid - Again another that didn't pick up the win on PPV but has been one of the best newcomers in PCW with his comedic segments and hilarious Youtube show. May have lost the match but got a kiss from Gia so I'm sure he's not too disheartened.

The Brothers Comeau - Brilliant in ring offence coupled with a unique personality have made the team stand out in the past couple of weeks. Unlucky not to win the tag titles but plenty of potential here.

Orion Bishop - The only man to stand up to PCW's resident bully, Orion has endeared himself to the fans simply by not putting up with any of Magnum's shit. Took him to the limit on PPV and again was another that wasn't pinned and didn't submit. Another with bags of potential.

1. Kaiser Cavanah - The only choice. Retained his title by squeezing the life out of one of the toughest competitors there is.

2. Daz - Daz's loss didn't really drop him at all. An outstanding performance against the champion that could have really gone either way.

3. Nick Foster - The second-biggest match of the night went Foster's way. He overcame the beating of a lifetime to take down Miller, and he could very well be the next #1 contender.

4. Amos Hess (and the Disciples) - Hess picked his battles at Oblivion, letting Knight and Barry do a lot of the early fighting for him before he came in and made an impact. It worked out, and now he's got himself in a really good position.

5. Magnum Phillips - Right now, is there anybody in PCW that wants to face this guy? I doubt it.

6. Spencer Miller - The loss drops him slightly down the list, but it was still a pretty evenly fought match and it was perhaps the best performance of his career so far.

7. Johnny Valentino - Any time you pick up a big victory at PPV against an opponent who's had your number for months, it's gonna feel good. Valentino is sitting in a good spot right now and it was good to see him get the win.

8. Neo Runway Chic - The first ever PCW Tag Team Champions get a spot on this list by virtue of their victory in the series against the Comeaus.

9. Omega/Gryphon Richard - Hard to say what's next for these two. I'd have to presume that they're done with the Disciples now, and they came out on the losing end. I'll be interested to see where they go from here.

10. Zaid - He's still been one of the most memorable rookies so far, and the loss to Valentino shouldn't do all that much to sink him down the ladder.

1. Kaiser Cavanah - Took out "The British Rose" using his own move. Only one person has done that before, and he was a Hall of Famer named The Executioner.

2. Nick Foster - Defeated his rival and proved to be the Last Man Standing. Also, he's one tough wanker.

3. The Disciples - Beat the Canadian Wrecking Crew and looked damn good doing it. They've dominated since they arrived and #FieldPlow is running wild.

4. Spencer Miller - Gave Foster the fight of his life. Took an FCC off the stage to keep him down for ten.

5. Magnum Phillips - Defeated Orion Bishop by TKO and the biggest asshole going in PCW is gonna continue his path of destruction against the Buck. Mark my words.

6. Johnny Valentino & Gia DiFiero - Took victory in the personal matchup between himself "The A-Lister" and ended their rivalry once and for all.

7. The Buck - Made an immediate statement, attacking Magnum post match at Oblivion.

8. Omega & Gryphon Richard - Put up a hell of a fight, despite being a man down, against The Disciples. Took two #FieldPlow's to take Omega down. Not many people can say that.

9. The Brother's Comeau - Three impressive back to back performances against Neo Runway Chic. Came within inches of winning the Tag Team gold. Long may achievement's be unlocked.

10. Zaid - He's tremendously smug. I love it. What else do you want?

Ahhh The Buck! That's who I was forgetting, I was just thinking of people who wrestled at the PPV. I'm going to have to wait and rank him until he's had an actual match :P

Now if I were doing ACCURATE rankings I'd have had Magnum at #1, but I have to keep at least a slight air of humility.

Not surprised to see Orion not appearing much. I wouldn't even put him in my Top 15.
