I used to go to a lot of college hockey games, and the Wisconsin Badgers are usually among the best teams in the nation. Those were also a blast, but a student crowd can make anything great.
Last week I went to my first ever NHL game while I was in south Florida, and saw Jaromir Jagr's Florida Panthers debut. It was a blast. Not only was it a really entertaining game, but once again, it just feels like you're so close to the action that it's so easy to stay interested.
It's funny because I don't ever really watch pro hockey on TV, for a couple reasons:
1. There's not really a local team that I can support, which makes it harder to get invested in the league.
2. It's really hard to track where the puck is on TV, which isn't a problem at all in person.
But I think live hockey might be the best live sports experience. Football is by far my favorite sport, but let's be real, there are way more perks to watching the game at home. I think hockey and baseball are the two sports that are way better in person, but especially hockey because I can actually see what's going on
