Beard thread

What style do you have?
What products do you use?
etc

I usually always have a full face beard / stubble. I tend to look better with facial hair, which I'm glad about as I can't stand shaving. I've got a proper winter beard coming along nicely at the moment which I'm quite proud of.

My electric razor broke a few months back, so I went back to blades for a while. I use shaving soap instead of shaving gel. It's so much better for your skin and you can get sticks of shaving soap for about 50p here, which is a bargain. Beats a

I have a full beard. I shape it up with a regular disposable razor and trim it up with clippers.

I always have a goat but I go back and forth with the rest. I will go threw spells were I refuse to shave cause I hate doing it so fucking much, that's when the electric hair clippers come into play. When I do shave, its normally once a week (that still leaves me looking like a lumberjack by day 6) and I will use the clippers to get it close to the skin then use a normal gillete 3 blade razor and some help to skin the cat.
I found that I use disposable 3 blades from gillete rather than the mach 3 shit cause they are about half the price and are identical in performance besides not having a replaceable head

I keep it simple. I trim with an electric trimmer to stubble once a week but sometimes, I quite like having a beard so I'd let it grow for about 2-3 weeks before trimming it again. But when I keep a beard, pluck out any hair poking out on my cheeks just to give a neat edge.

I hate shaving, hardly ever shave for that reason. I've got sensitive skin so with a blade, I think I don't do it too well. Out of interest Porkchop, what's an electric razor like? I at some point will have to shave regularly (around the time I have a wife as can't imagine the stubble will be too pleasing for her!) so keen to see if an electric razor might be more better for me.

If you're going to get an electric one, I'd suggest forking out for a top quality one. I had a fairly cheap one and even though shaving was a lot quicker, it didn't leave my face as smooth as it would have been if I used blades. Pic to illustrate: http://i.imgur.com/pfhuX.png

Cheap ones will just rip your hair out and mess up your face. Invest in a good one.

^ I always hated electric razors. I have tried many, even the bastards with the goo. Every one always felt like they would pull and tug something fierce, plus they always left me feeling like I was not left with a close shave like a razor.

Yeah I am the same way. I can't use the electrics. Like I said I only trim with clippers (like hair clippers)

I use a real good electric razor. This one in fact:

Just as good as a normal razor, and very convenient, too.

No products. I use whatever shampoo and conditioner i have left on my hands after putting it through my hair. I get it trimmed slightly when it gets out of control by a hairdresser who is a friend of mine. I trust her not to go overboard, she does a good job.
