Do you share the same last name as a famous person?

I for one don't share the same last name with someone famous, in Canada there are only 10 families with my last name and my family is the only one in Toronto that has my last name. However the other week one of my coworkers added me to facebook (who is a good friend at work). I then thought to my self I heard that last name before but could not remember where. When online I spotted his last name and he has the real last name as Dolph Ziggler. I told him and he thought that was kind of cool even if he never heard of him before since he was never into wrestling.

Just wondering if anyone else here shares the same last name as some famous person around the world.

After a little search, I discovered that I have the same last name as an American screenwriter and and English football executive. How famous they are though, I don't know. I had never heard of them before.

The actor who played Thurston Howells in Gilligan's Island and a former offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions both have the same last name as me but spelled differently.

That guy is a pretty great hockey player and poplar with most fans of the game. He will probably be an important piece to USA's hockey team at the Sochi Olympics. And judging from where he's from y'all might even be distantly related.
