Smackdown spoilers: Bryan's potential WrestleMania plans

Thanks to Emmy for the following WWE SmackDown spoilers from tonight's tapings in Atlanta:

* Daniel Bryan kicks off SmackDown with an in-ring promo. He talks about WrestleMania 31 but is interrupted by Bad News Barrett, who insults Bryan and Dean Ambrose. Ambrose comes out and they brawl. Bryan picks up the IC Title belt and handed it to Barrett but just to distract him. Ambrose and Bryan double teamed Barrett. Barrett dropped the title and ran off, leaving Ambrose and Bryan to celebrate with the title.

* Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett is next. R-Truth was on commentary and ended up stealing Barrett's title belt. Bryan got the win with a running knee. After the match, Barrett looked around for his title but had no idea what happened to it.

...So is Bryan getting involved with the Intercontinental Title picture then?

Jeez, being thrown into a 5 or 6 Way match for the IC belt is even worse than a match with Sheamus.

Maybe, but you'd have to field four more guys pretty quickly for it to be an all out tournament. More likely it will be Ambrose, Bryan, R-Truth and somebody else facing off in singles matches with the winners facing each other for the shot at Barrett. The problem I have with that is the fact that the Ambrose vs Barrett story isn't settled yet so either this is just a convoluted way to get the re-match or they are dropping it in the middle.

I'll wait till Raw to see if this is really what they have planned for Bryan. The Smackdown results don't convince me. I think it's just Bryan spinning his wheels until Sheamus comes back on Raw.

If Sheamus is really Bryan's opponent, then where the hell is he? If he's not cleared to compete yet, then they should have found something better for Bryan to do. If he is cleared to compete (which I believe is the case) then they needed to start building this match this week. In fact, they should have been laying some groundwork before Fast Lane. There are only four Raws left until Wrestlemania: that's not enough time to reintroduce an old name that everyone stopped caring about, possibly heel turn him, and then build him up as an opponent for the most popular wrestler in the company.

That's not to mention the fact that this feud has already appeared on two Road to Wrestlemanias in the past, so they preferably have to try and find a way to really differentiate this one.

I'm not 100% convinced Bryan will fight Sheamus, but with this little time to go, and this few viable opponents left, it's pretty obvious that whatever he does end up doing, it's going to suck. Not putting him in the main event is one thing, but disregarding him like this is ignorant, bordering on spiteful.

I'm surprised WWE have given Bryan a match at Mania 31. With their decisions on him recently, that border on nastiness, shocked he wasn't given the commentary gig at WM31 with Cole etc. Or paying for his first row ticket whilst he watches Reigns beat Lesnar.
