Since I have nothing to do with the situation because my team sucks, I'll give my 2 cents.

The Legend, I understand why you are pissed off and I would be too if I were you. You went from facing HFX who wouldn't have had Bell and Brown to a now fairly stacked HFX team in what is an elimination game for you.

On the other hand, I was in the chat earlier this morning when I saw the trade and SKS had a very good reason for pushing the trade through. The deadline was at 12PM and it wasn't as if anybody (outside of 1 person, I think) vetoed the trade. So he pushed it through. I don't think he was doing it to rip anybody off, I think he had good intentions.

As for whether the trade is fair or not is up for debate. But I don't think it is fair to pile on SKS. He pushed it through with good reason and I was in the chatbox when he said he was going to. He had a legitimate reason for it. If enough people want the trade overturned, then I think SKS would change the rosters back to how they were to be fair.

Now I have no idea of knowing if the trade was going to cancel at 12PM since it was already accepted or not and just waiting for votes from the league members. I'm not sure. I had the same concern when I accepted Irin's trade though so I get why SKS was concerned as well. Better safe than sorry.

If it were just the trade I would probably agree with you. However, the whole situation stinks. From stubbornly holding onto a ridiculous two week per playoff round format that I've heard no one besides himself say is a good idea. To the fact that I was the one most strongly arguing against the format and then at the last minute he forms a trade that benefits my opponent this week to sabotage me and even at the detriment of his own team. Also, the fact that he suddenly decided to abruptly change the season length so that this week out of nowhere became the last week of the season, absolutely moving the goal posts, to barrow a favorite phrase of yours, on everyone competing for a playoff spot.

The bottom line for why I'm so upset is this. I had the best team in the league for the first month of the season then everyone on my team from Ryan Matthews to Rashad Jennings to Lamar Miller to Calvin Johnson to Sammy Watkins to Gio Bernard to RG III to other guys who I had to cut to make room started getting hurt and missing multiple weeks. I still managed to weather the storm and I had planned on getting my team back together for a stretch run starting now and now I find out that our season is going to be two weeks shorter than any other fantasy football league I've ever participated in and there won't be any stretch run.

It feels really, really cheap and unfair to me to change the length of the season and hold people to ridiculous playoff format that no one has stood up for.

The Legend wrote:You know what, I just realized just how deep this screwjob truly goes. SKS plays Tim this week, who is another person tied for that final spot. SKS was projected to beat Tim, that is until he gutted his own team so badly that he can't even field a fully competent team this week. So he basically handed a victory to a contender just to further fix this playoff race.

So these are the teams that are competing for the final playoff spot.

HFX just got a loaded team for an unrealistic trade in which he just gives up a couple of players that won't even play this week for a roster full of new starters - like litterally every starter on his team will have changed after this deal.

I have to face that super team.

Tim who gets to face a completely depleted team that is giving away the game this week

And ThaGOAT gets to face GNR's team after GNR has completely quit the league and is playing a quarterback and a kicker that are on a bye this week and a flex player who has been on IR.

Yeah this league is set up real fair and justified.

SKS you are a manipulative cheater. You also are apparently a hiding coward as well.

There is literally not a penny on the line in this league. It is meaningless. Are you really that mad about this that you have to call me names and neg rep every one of my recent posts? That's just childish.

The trade was proposed by me because I wanted Bell and Brown from weeks ago. HFX wouldn't budge on a trade. I saw the opportunity to get Bell and Brown this week because HFX needed bye week fill ins for a chance to make the playoffs. Who he's playing against makes no difference in this trade, he needed to win regardless. I didn't gut half my team just so you won't make the playoffs. I saw a possible trade that would benefit me come playoff time. 4 of the 6 I traded away would be on my bench anyway. I wasn't going to use them, so why not find someone that could use them and upgrade my team in the process? If you were the one with Bell and Brown I would have sent you the same offer.

I have already clinched the #3 seed, so this week is meaningless for me. Why should I try my hardest to win this week, a meaningless week for me, instead of upgrading my team for the playoffs? Should it matter what's going on with the teams below me? I did what was best for my team's chances at winning the championship. It just happened to be HFX who needed players and had two scoring monsters that I wanted. Bell is the 3rd ranked RB and Brown is the 1st ranked WR. I HAD to give a boatload of talent to get them or else it wouldn't be realistic for HFX to trade them. I traded my depth, which I don't need in the playoffs, for fire power to put me over the hump.

Would you really keep 4 good players on your bench when you could transform them, along with 2 of your starters, into 2 studs? I really don't think I'm cheating at all.

I pushed the trade through because the home page has said, for a week, the deadline is Wednesday at 12PM. I wanted the trades to process before the deadline, so I pushed them through. They seemed fair enough to me and 4 people had already voted to accept mine, 2 had voted to accept the other. Now the league says it has no deadline which confuses me, I really don't know what happened there. I was just worried that the deadline would pass and the trades would be cancelled and I wouldn't be able to enable trades again.

I wasn't trying to screw anybody. I'm already in the playoffs, and I'll say it again, it didn't mean anything to me who would make the 4th spot. Projections don't mean anything anyway. I was projected to beat Danielson by 60 points and he beat me. Your team was projected to score close to 130 last week and scored 49. I don't think me being projected to win would mean I'd absolutely win, anyway. I'll mention that again, I don't need to win this week. Should I not make a trade that benefits MY team just because it makes it difficult for another team?

The trade benefits both sides. I had to give a bunch of players, but I had the depth to do so. HFX traded two top 5 position players so he needed to get an equal amount back. Don't think it's just because we are buddies. In a league last year HFX tried to make the playoffs by trading Ben Jarvis Green Ellis and another lower tier guy for Marshawn Lynch. If I loved him so much I would have allowed it and let him screw over other teams, but I vetoed it and they did a fairer trade. If anything, Tracey is benefiting a lot from Lacy in exchange for a defense and what seems to be a second string RB. She saw the opportunity and made the trade, and Messiah thought it was fair. Should that be cheating too? I don't really think so.

I have no problem getting hated on for this, I won't be part of a pub talk league next year to save the drama. I'm out. :lol

In the immortal words of Herm Edwards *Herm voice* "You play to win the game!" So yes, every team every week should try their damnedest to win each week for the integrity of the league.
