Probably as Khedira's off to Arsenal but maybe not necessarily what they need but quality player on his day.

Kroos can't do the defensive job that Khedira does, if this is a one in, one out situation then they'll want to reconsider.

Kroos is so much better offensively though.

Doesn't matter if it's a swap. His point was that if they let Khedira go and put Kroos in his position they will struggle because Kroos isn't a good defensive mid. They still need a replacement for Khedira defensively even with Kroos added which is why they probably won't let him go.

Filipe Luis to Chelsea for £15.8m, good signing, they've definitely been in need of a left back even before Cole left. Mourinho says that he's done with spending for the summer.

I'm not so sure he's ready for that spot just yet, he's got a lot of promise but he's relatively unproven, I'd say he should go out on loan for a year and see how that goes.

I don't see why they'd be in a rush to get rid of Khedira, he plays a vital role in the team, just had a wonderful World Cup and he's still relatively young. They'd be mugs to let him go.

Fabio Borini off to Sunderland for £14m and Liverpool are supposedly putting £8m of that towards signing Loic Remy from Newcastle. Nice bit of business that.

Agree - Remy is a proven PL goalscorer with experience in Europe. He's quick, can finish and is capable of playing out wide so I'm very happy they've opted to sign him rather than shell out stupid money for Bony. As for Borini, he never really had a chance to impress but in all honesty he never looked a player that can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and change it - he's better off at Sunderland tbh, they love him up there after last season. Liverpool have done well to get so much for him tbh.

Just watched the game against Preston, finished 2-1. I'm not sure whether it's good or bad that the kids easily out-performed the older lads. Jordan Ibe is a special talent (another Sterling for sure) and I'm really happy Suso is back doing his thing.

Illara is nowhere near to replace Khedira. He's unproven at the top level. Alonson, with Modric and Kroos ahead looks excellent on paper but in reality, defensively, they will struggle as Kroos isn't that great going backwards to defend.

Bayern's president on the cheap prices they charge for Season Tickets - wonderful way of thinking, wish English clubs were more like this. I pay more for my ST at Bradford than Bayern fans do :lol

Drogba could well be on his way back to Chelsea, considering a move back on a one-year deal. That team are stacked as it is.

Terrible move for him, he should go to Juventus and pick up more global success in Italy.

The way he left Chelsea, pretty much single handedly dragging them through the Champions League and his last kick of the ball in a Blue shirt winning them the cup for the first time, was nothing short of poetic - he shouldn't soil his legacy with a few League Cup appearances and one or two run outs off the bench.

Agreed, I don't see the point in him returning. He's a Chelsea legend, but his time there was capped off perfectly and he should go elsewhere.

In some MLS news, reports are that Xavi is going to sign with NYC FC. Lampard, David Villa, & Xavi are pretty huge signings for us even if they're old. Seriously debating getting season tickets now. :D

Go for it, you'd enjoy it.

This is Lazio's new away kit:

Why couldn't Macron do something like that for Villa? :(
