Who is the single best sim fed character you've seen?

Postby Everlong » Mar 07, '14, 11:45 am

I'm going with Johnny Devine.

While he never really had a face run to speak of (which might make him less versatile than other good picks for this category), every single time he worked with someone it felt HUGE, and always made that person look great, whether they wound up on top or not. He was in probably like five of the ten best WCSF matches, cut classic promos and carried the company for a time as champion when we had to turn to him after the mass departure of the old mods and their characters.

Even when he wasn't champion, his matches were always the most-anticipated (or among the most-anticipated) on the card.

Gotta go with Devine too.

Guy just brought things to the table I would never even thought of. We complimented each other really well and I never felt a match was more "complete" than when I wrote with Goff. He just had a knack of bringing in these little characteristics and capturing emotion. I like to think I have a pretty good grasp on the in ring side of psychology, and with him taking care of the rest, we could never go wrong. Also, tremendous theme music.

Along with Devine, I'd have to say Maverick. Everybody loved Maverick and for good reason. Executioner made me. There's no two ways about it. Taj was also very collaborative and wanted to talk about things and make sure shit was on the right track. I like that, it makes the whole process a lot more personable than just writing your part and sending it off.

Under rated guys, I always liked working with Amen and Tomohiro Matsuda. There was a guy in SOS, The Hawk was killing it in 2009/2010. If SOS would have kept going, I think he could have turned into a really strong character/writer.

Most over rated characters ... Josh Outland. He was just kind of a joke really. Randy Orton lite. The promo with PPD's manager character (Scarlet? I forget) in the shower. Jesus. He had no restraint. In ring, horrible move set that was very tricky to work with. Pretty much put himself over at any expense. Thought the JLO was a completely unfathomable move ... it was a freaking TKO. As a writer, I think I gave JLO the best matches he had in WCSF ... he contributed in one of them. The rest, he just no showed. Then surprisingly came back to write a ridiculously over the top street fight with Rage Mishima at Revolution IV I think it was. When SOS started again, we had a couple of matches together. Imagine my surprise when I send him my part of the match, get the match back to finish, and his section is literally stuff I'd written for one of our previous matches together. not to mention the ridiculous promos that WOULD NEVER FUCKING END. Some of them would have run on longer than some of my matches, i swear to god. The constant y'all's and random *** in the middle of paragraphs, the over use of !!!!! and the constant use of people's real names in promos, instead of their character names. Infuriating.

As far as female characters go ... Melissa Chambers. She's got the looks, she can wrestle, she speaks 127 different languages as demonstrated during the SOS World Tour. She has a knack for rhyming, designing and impeccable timing ... she what I did there? She can run in high heels, has the voice of an angel. Also, perfect hair. What more can you want?

I like that you worked out an excuse to get a JLO rant in there :lol I can't believe that we actually had him go over Mishima at that Revolution. We wound up canning him like a month after that because he was just way too much to handle.

Here's the text of that match BTW.

Spoiler:
Falls Count Anywhere, 2/3 Falls Match - Rage Mishima vs Joshua Leo Outland

Troy: What a treat Josh has in store for WCSF Revolution. Apparently, Josh has managed to pull some strings and tonight, ShineDown is here LIVE playing his entrance theme, "Heroes."

Pete: This is just another way for Josh to inflate his ego, but once he steps in that ring with The Godly Destroyer, he's going to suffer an UNGODLY BEATDOWN!!

Troy: Are you sure about that? Rage isn’t even 100 percent after the one he got, Pete!

The lights go down. A bolt hits the ramp and Shinedown along with a music set rise up from a raising platform near the entrance and break out into "I Dare You".

As the song plays, we see video footage of both Rage and Josh's past in WCSF.

"Hello, let me introduce you to
The characters in the show
One says yes, one says no
Decide - which voice in your head you can keep alive

Even in madness, I know you still believe
Paint me your canvas so I become
What you could never be!!"

As it cuts to the chorus, Pyro explodes again and the video flashes to show rapid images of Mishima and Joshua cutting promos.

"Hello, are you still chasing
The memories in shadows
Some stay young, some grow old
Come alive, there are thoughts unclear
You can never hide

Even in madness, I know you still believe
Paint me your canvas so I become
What you could never be..."

And finally the heinous attack as the song ends.

"Hello...Hello!!!
I dare you to tell me
I dare you to.
I dare you to tell me....
I dare you to...."

As the last note plays, the screen flashes to TGD and JLO facing each other in a "bring it" pose.

The audience's roars are broken up by....

“Hello Boys” by Andrea Corr begins to blast through the arena, capturing everyone’s attention. All eyes turn to the stage where Selena Starr appears in her usual catsuit attire, this one black and encrusted with diamonds. Selena saunters to the middle of the ramp and she stops. She turns back to the entry-way and does a "here he is" Vanna White-ish motion.

As soon as she does this, the sound of thunder rumbling is heard, and the lights start flickering a little. A noise is heard, like a heart monitor. "Beep.... Beep....Beep..... Beep......."
The lights go from a steady flicker to a rapid, seizure-inducing flashing and then with a loud boom the lights go out.

"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP" A flat-line noise echoes over the entire arena, piercing into the audience's ears. After they cover their ears, the crowd glance at the entranceway, trying to adjust to the darkness. Ten seconds pass almost like a decade. Suddenly, bell tolls sound in the arena:

"BOOOOOONNNNGGGGGGG.....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGG.....
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG"

After the third bell toll, Shinedown play the LIVE rendition of "Heroes." The audience members immediately boo Joshua Leo Outland and the women lustfully cheer for him. A bolt of lightning strikes at the ramp entrance, and a second after that, Josh appears amongst the lightning. He stands there as it crackles above him, He swaggers with a smirk on his face and points to Shinedown as he walks right up to Selena. The music reaches its peak as it hits "ALL MY HEROES HAVE NOW BECOME GHOSTS, SOLD THEIR SORROW TO THE ONES WHO PAID THE MOST!!!" and Josh poses exploding his arms out and Selena places a hand on his shoulder and stands beside him. As soon as they pose, several loud booms are heard and gold fireworks shoot up from the ENTIRE ramp's floor and down from the everyone of the rafters covering the entire entrance ramp down onto the couple. Cameras in the audience flash as people take pictures of this once-in-a-lifetime grand pyrotechnical display.

Pete: Lightning? Is he a supernatural now?

Troy: Shut up Pete. Greatness Personified will NOT be mocked!

Josh breaks the pose, and then he is seen talking to Selena. He motions her that she needs to stay far away from the ring as this match will be damn brutal. She looks on in concern, and Josh re-emphasizes she needs to not be around. They give each other a worried hug, and then part ways. Josh walks with a more serious, business-like walk down the ramp amidst the shower of gold. The crowd continues to give off a rally of boos as he stops on the top step and looks into the ring.

Ring Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, accompanied to the ring by Selena Starr....from Clayton, North Carolina....weighing in at 237 pounds.....he is "GREATNESS PERSONIFIED".....JOSHUA....LEO.....OUTLAND!!

Joshua maintains his focused stare and then walks slowly up the steps. He then slips under the top rope into the ring and he saunters to a turnbuckle and poses. Once again gold pyro explodes down onto the ring. He holds the pose a few seconds and then breaks it, pointing at Shinedown for a second in thanks, and then climbing down. He cracks his neck and stretches on the ropes, preparing for the brutal battle that lies ahead as Shinedown finishes playing.

Pete: Not to be outdone by Shinedown, it looks like Apocalyptica is here too!

Troy: How the hell did Mishima get a hold of them? They live in Finland!!

Pete: Mishima’s got friends everywhere, Troy. In fact, Michael Bisping is here to watch Mishima do battle:

The camera zooms over to Michael Bisping as he nods to the camera and the fans cheer him.

Pete: And the Japanese actress Rin Takanashi is here as well. She came for Kuri's match, too.

As Shinedown exits, the legendary Finnish foursome walk out unto the ramp, with their cellos in hand, their band following behind them. Finally, the band begins warming up with a raging build-up as the lights go out and the Titantron begins flashing images of Mishima raising the tag belts over his head among the crowd in his first Revolution win with “FIRST CONTACT” flashing on the screen. The second screen shows Mishima walking away from his brutal Dome of Doom battle as “SECOND IMPACT” flashes. On the third screen, Mishima is shown hoisting the WCSF Heavyweight Championship to the fans as the word “THIRD STRIKE” flashes by. Finally, a huge collage of Mishima’s battles flash all at once as Apocalyptica sharply finishes their build up as the words “FOURTH-COMING” flash on the screen and remain there as the fans are in a frenzy, awaiting the arrival of the Hall of Famer. Apocalyptica suddenly strikes up with “Last Hope” as a wall with Mishima’s “ten” symbol bursts apart, revealing The Godly Destroyer as the cheers of the fans reach their highest point! Mishima walks out on stage, looks to his left, and to his right, and he raises a fist to the sky, and brings it down, triggering five huge pyro columns in a ripple effect around him!

Announcer: And his opponent, at 6’1 and weighing 245 lbs, this is WCSF Hall of Famer, The Godly Destroyer, RAGE MISHIMAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Pete: Holy crap, WHAT AN ENTRANCE! Those guys rock out like those cellos are guitars!

Troy: They may as well be, they’ve done whole albums covering Metallica songs, and songs by Pantera, Faith No More, and Sepultura.

Mishima salutes Apocalyptica with a bow as they finish up the dramatic instrumental, and begins to run down to the ring, and Josh immediately runs away. Mishima chases Josh around the ring and Josh slides into the ring. Mishima follows and the ref rings signaling the match to start as both men start throwing hands.

Ding, Ding, Ding.

Both men keep exchanging blows with one another, after a good beat down by each man, Josh pokes Rage in the eye, Mishima stumbles backwards. He runs back but gets caught with a clothesline. Josh poses to the crowd, then he jumps down and hits a elbow drop to the sternum of Rage. He jumps back up and hits another, he slowly gets up laughing and shouts to the crowd.

He stands above Rage and jumps down for another elbow drop, but Mishima moves fast and Josh lands elbow first on the canvas in pain. Rage jumps up and pulls up Josh, he whips him into the ropes but Josh reverses it and Rage comes back but dodges a clothesline attempt by Josh and runs against the opposite rope and comes back with a flying lariat. Josh hits the canvas and Rage falls against the turnbuckle.

Pete: These two are breaking about even so far!

Josh gets up first and walks over to Rage and slaps him across the face hard. Josh pulls him up and pushes his face against the turnbuckle, Mishima starts gasping for air and elbows Josh in the gut, Outland falls backwards but keeps hold of Rage's head, and he slams it on the canvas. Josh jumps on top of Mishima and after a few punches the ref admonishes him.

Outland looks at the referee and shakes his head, he pulls Rage up and forces his head against his. Rage ducks and starts kicking Josh in the calf, and JLO shouts out in pain. Rage delivers another but even harder, Josh falls to one knee but slowly gets back up, so Rage chops Josh in the neck and kicks him in the face. Josh falls to the floor and Rage covers.

Troy: Mishima, going for the pin, already...

One..

Kick out by Josh.

Mishima stands up and grabs Josh by the neck and pulls him up, he whips him into the ropes and Rage jumps for a dropkick but Josh grabs the ropes and TGD lands on his neck hard. Josh runs and grabs Rage's legs and pushes him into a pin.

One..

Two..

Kick out by Rage.

Pete: Both men, going for the pin WAY too early.

Josh lets up and Rage rolls backwards and in a split second dropkicks Josh in the face and sends him flying across the ring. Josh lands awkwardly on his leg and walks back and Rage kicks him in the chest. Outland falls back and Rage rushes at him with a clothesline but gets back body dropped over the top rope, crashing hard to the floor. Josh falls into the corner and holds his leg, the referee runs over and starts helping Josh.

Rage slowly starts regaining his composure and Outland jumps out of the ring coming after Rage but he enziguiri's Josh and he flies into the guard rail. Mishima rolls in the ring and taunts the crowd. Josh pulls himself up with the guard rail and faces Rage. He walks up to the ropes but TGD holds them and kicks Josh in the chest and sends him into the rail again. Josh clutches his chest and Rage flings himself over the top rope with a flying cross body. Josh smacks his head hard on the concrete floor and the crowd starts cheering as Mishima slowly climbs up and starts shouting to the crowd.

Pete: High-flying by Rage Mishima as he takes that braggart Josh Outland down to the floor.

Troy: Josh may have an ego the size of Eurasia, but he also knows how to get the job done. Like his beatdown on Mishima this past show.

Pete: BEAT DOWN?!? That's putting it DAMN lightly!! He speared him through a door, busted him open with a can of Coke, shoved a locker onto his leg, and to top it all off, threw a damn TV on him!! That was simply a heinous assault on the part of a desperate man.

Troy: Let's get back to callin the match, Mr. Biased.

Josh is down and dazed and Rage grabs onto his head and forces him up. He smacks Josh's head into the guard rail and then grabs Josh and drops him chest-first onto the guard rail. Josh clutches his chest in agony and collapses to his knees in front of the rail. Rage stays on Josh and slings him into the turnbuckle post and Josh smacks hard against the cold steel. He collapses again, trying to shake the cobwebs out, and Mishima grabs his arm and slams it into the post. Josh cries out in agony and Rage goes for it again. Josh stops him, however, with a stiff right elbow to the jaw. He grabs Mishima's hair and slings him hard into the turnbuckle.

Rage's face collides with the buckle with a loud CRACK and Josh goes to town, delivering several stiff body shots to his kidneys and ribs. Josh stops the punches and slings Mishima into the ring apron. Rage hits the apron and falls down and backward. Josh hoists him up and delivers a sickening German Suplex that smashes the back of Mishima's head onto the ring apron. The audience gasp aloud in disbelief and Josh tosses Rage into the ring and sets his head up onto the ring apron. Josh climbs to the top rope as Rage stares up, too dizzy to move. Josh jumps off the buckle and crashes into TGD's head with a leg drop right to the throat. Rage slithers away and rolls in the ring in agony as Josh takes a moment to respire and stretch out his sore leg.

Pete: I was expecting a beating, but this has become straight-up butchering, and quite frankly I'm disappointed in the actions of BOTH MEN!!

Troy: Yeah, they're taking full advantage of the match rules, hitting each other with everything but foreign objects!! You gotta remember the rage that's been built up on the part of both men though. This is old lion against young lion in every sense of the term, and both men have huge amounts of pride at stake!!

Pete: You're right...but is satisfying that pride, or in Josh's case, ego, worth a broken neck!?!?

Troy: To Outland and Mishima, I'd say the answer to that question is a resounding yes!

Josh stumbles around, obviously hurt by his reckless assault. Rage is now up in the ring, rubbing his sore throat. Josh finally works the kinks out of his leg and walks up the ring steps, and into the ring. He stares right into Mishima's eyes and Rage meets his gaze with a fierce glare of his own. It's suddenly clear to everyone that this bout will become a war as both men want the win here tonight. They circle around the ring a few times, then charge at each other, as the audience buzzes with anticipation of the ensuing war!!

Josh and Rage both throw a punch. Both connect. Both men stagger back, and then rush forward with a left jab. Both men block it and throw another jab. The jabs connect, but both men are fueled by adrenaline and toss another hook toward the ribs. They stagger back, a second, and Josh puts up his fists like a boxer. Rage sees this, and abandoning his regular style, puts up his dukes and they move toward each other. Josh and TGD pass a right hook to the jaw, and both men block it with their left hand and throw another right hand to the face. Josh's connects and Rage staggers back. Josh stays on him and throws a stiff shot to his rib. Rage rope-a-dopes to block Josh's wrath and Josh seeing this stops and maneuvers around him, trying to find an unprotected area. He finds one and goes for a massive haymaker, but Rage sidesteps and crashes a stiff uppercut to Josh's jaw. Josh staggers back and Mishima goes for a haymaker of his own. The crowd roar in approval as it connects, but Josh ducks down to the side and then flicks a punch that connects to his face. Both men stop and stare, listening to the crowd and then stare back into each other's eyes.

Pete: These two are going at it tooth and nail!

Outland and Rage lock up, with Mishima getting the advantage, putting Outland into a headlock, and applying pressure. Outland shoots Rage into the ropes, but TGD springs off of the middle rope, and back flips in midair, landing on his feet, making the audience gasp at his agility. Josh quickly comes after him and clotheslines him to the ground. Rage quickly scrambles to his feet, as Josh stands behind him. Josh hooks his arms around Mishima's waist, and goes for a German suplex…

But Rage back flips, and grabs Josh’s head, and delivers a reverse suplex. The unforgiving canvas rumbles, as Rage is the first to his feet, shortly followed by JLO. Mishima sprints up to Josh and delivers a kick to the midsection. He then quickly hoists Outland up into the air, and spins around, putting Outland on the ropes, and then springing back, delivering a bone-shattering suplex.

Troy: Wonder how long it's gonna be until these two abandon wrestling for Street Fighting...

Rage turns away to catch a rest and breaking character, poses to the audience who voice their approval. He turns around to be met with a boot to the face by Josh Outland, and Outland hoists Rage into the air, and delivers a spine-crushing Powerbomb to the canvas. Mishima moves around in pain, and Josh taunts to the audience, having stopped Rage's momentum. Outland begins to drop elbows on Rage, each delivering a devastating impact to both him and the ring canvas. Outland eventually stops, and picks Rage up, and whips him into the turnbuckle, but Mishima leaps onto the top turnbuckle, forgetting the second one, and delivers a "high cross body block" to the approaching Outland, who is knocked down hard onto the canvas.

1…

2..

Outland gets the shoulder up, as Rage gets onto his knees, with his hands on his hips. He shakes his head in aggravation, and the ref says "that's two!!" He gets onto his feet, and Outland stumbles up into Rage, who attempts a cutter, but is hoisted up into the air by Josh, who delivers an Electric Chair Drop on Rage. TGD rolls onto the canvas, covering his face in agonizing pain. Outland shakes his head and makes his way to his feet, and taunts the fans, as Rage crawls onto his feet. Outland crouches down, and does a few rolls on the canvas waiting for Mishima to turn around…

Troy: Mishima's about to be DROPPED! By the JLO!!

Rage turns around and Josh propels up into the air and grabs at his head......RKO!! RKO!! RK-Oh NO!! Rage fights out of it, and throws Outland outward and TGD himself jumps back, dropping Outland to the canvas with a sorta-modified Reverse DDT!!

Pete: HOW DID HE DO THAT?!

Audience: "HOLY SHIT!! HOLY SHIT!! HOLY SHIT!!"

Rage gets right on Josh, dropping a leg on his throat. Josh coughs and rolls around in excruciating pain and suffering, and Mishima stomps at his ribs. Josh finally lashes out with a leg sweep and takes Rage off his feet. Josh slithers up to Mishima and grabs him with a Crossface, but can't lock it in. Rage shows his heart and blocks the Crossface attempt and elbows Josh then breaks into a run. He bounces off the ropes and comes back with a clothesline, but Josh rolls sideways to avoid the clothesline and TGD gains more momentum. Josh meets him coming back with a headlock. Josh cinches it in as Rage fades and the crowd chants to keep him in.

Pete: Mishima won't give up that easily. Bank on it!

Josh keeps the lock on so tight that his vein bulges in his wrist and the ref raises up Rage's hand to see if he's passed out. The hand falls one time, twice... The Audience chants "RAGE-MISH-IMA!!!" and stomp their feet, trying to bring their hero back into the match. It falls a third time but as it does, Rage reaches out and gives Josh a suplex, then collapses to a knee and respires.

Troy: He sure is persistant....

Pete: You got that right....even in his condition, Mishima will fight as long as he draws breath...

Josh gets up looking pissed and yells "No ****' way!!" while Mishima looks extremely focused. Josh shakes his head and burns a hole right through Mishima as he punches the turnbuckle in frustration. TGD prepares himself and Josh comes running at him with a full head of steam. Rage and Josh are squaring up and throwing vicious blows to each other. Josh wins and cinches in another headlock but doesn't get to hold it for long as Rage escapes to a roar from the crowd!! TGD shoves him off of him, sending Josh a few steps from him. Rage holds his head and backs up into the ropes, as Josh turns around. Josh steps toward Mishima, and Rage gives him a forearm to the jaw, causing Josh to stumble. Mishima continues the assault, and follows up with another forearm. He does a running Enzuiguri to Josh and knocks him down. Rage goes to the top and descends upon Josh with an elbow drop to the sternum, then goes for a headlock of his own. Before he can however, Josh performs an amazing display of strength and rises up with Mishima on his shoulders. Josh strains holding up Rage and then walks toward the ropes. He hoist him up and....

Pete: Wait, what?! Unbelievable!

Powerbomb over the ropes! Rage hits the ground stiffly, and rolls around in serious pain. Josh smirks and poses, as the majority of the crowd voices their disapproval. Josh puts his back to the ropes, and rebounds off them gaining speed, he rebounds off the other ropes and FLIES over the top rope without even touching it, but Rage sees him coming and sidesteps right, and grabs Josh's head, sending him flying THROUGH the guard rail!! A whole side of the guard rail falls from the impact!

Troy: You've GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Audience: THIS IS AWESOME!!! *Clap clap stomp stomp stomp* THIS IS AWESOME!!

Rage holds his sore back and leans against the turnbuckle, while Josh is laying amidst the rubble of the guard rail. He isn't stirring and the ref comes out to check on him. Josh shows no motion and the ref considers calling the match. Right as he signals to ring the bell, Josh groans and stirs a little and he rolls over onto his back. We see his face for the first time since his ambitious flight and burn, and it is covered in blood. He has a serious laceration on his head and the blood FLOWS out of the cut like a crimson waterfall. Josh crawls away from the rubble and the audience cheers, because he's headed out their way!! Rage sees the blood and smiles, feeling justified in his fury. He follows Josh, and the ref follows both men.

Pete: Looks like First Blood is Mishima's!

Rage grabs a piece of the guard rail and weighleighs Josh hard on the back with it. Josh looks through a bloody gaze and groans and Rage smiles a sick grin and picks up a massive piece of the guard rail and chunks it down on Josh's back. Josh collapses and crawls away to another railing and he uses it to climb up. An overzealous Rage runs at Josh, but Josh slings him crashing headfirst into the railing!! Josh collapses beside Mishima, wiping the blood out of his eyes, and takes a breather.

Josh and Rage both limber up and throw a few punches outside. TGD gains the upper hand and connects with a few more shots and the bloody Josh staggers back. Rage grabs him and bangs his head onto the railing and the audience cheer, enjoying being so close to the action!! Josh drops to his knees and Mishima delivers a stiff kick to his back. Josh yells "AHHHH!!!" and Rage gets approval from the crowd. He delivers several more punches and Josh just can't shake him. Mishima slams Josh's head into the barricade and Josh can only block the blow with his arms. He bounces off from the impact and falls onto the concrete floor. TGD goes to deliver more shots, but Josh trips him up and sends him crashing into the barricade.

Josh is now seemingly coherent for the first time since he broke through the guard railing. He puts a hand to his head and looks at it. He sees his blood. Letting out a primal yell of rage, he gets an adrenaline rush and now it's Josh's turn to devastate Rage. He hoists Mishima up and slings him hard into the railing. TGD holds his head in pain, as Josh is fired up. He rams a knee into Rage's chest, then motions him to get up, and Rage does. Josh sprints towards him, and Rage goes for a clothesline. Josh ducks under and then does a rebounding Enziguiri off the railing that catches Mishima in the temple. He goes down and Josh grabs him up. With an angry yell of effort, Josh slings Rage with so much force the railing falls down under his weight. The crowd goes nuts, as the two fighters are within arm's reach of them. Josh delivers a heinous mule kick right to TGD's temple and Mishima looks to be dazed. Josh taunts the crowd then goes out amongst them.

Pete: Josh Outland is a bully, in EVERY sense of the word.

Troy: Careful Pete, he might give you a wedgie...

He sees a "The Godly Destroyer" sign and snatches it from the fan. He smacks Rage in the face with the cardboard, then rips it to pieces and slings them around like confetti. He sees Rage getting back up. Josh charges at him and delivers a football-style tackle that sends him to the floor hard. Josh sees a fan with a can of soda and he approaches him and asks for the soda. The fan lets him have it, and pulls another one from his cooler, and Josh lets Rage get up. He takes a swig of the Coke and sprays it right into his eyes as the audience buzz with appreciation for the bout. TGD is blinded and staggers back a bit and Josh knocks him down with a clothesline.

Troy: Outland sure likes his soda...

Josh then snatches the cooler. The man looks pissed but his wife calms him down. Josh measures Mishima and waits for him to turn around. When Rage does, WHAM!! his face is smacked by the side of the cooler. He falls down fast and clutches his head in agony. He has been busted open by the shot but not too bad, just enough to bleed a little. Josh grabs a Coke from the cooler and smashes it across Rage's temple. NOW the blood starts to gush out and Josh smirks as the soda starts to spray out of the hole made in the can. Josh then swigs from a Coke with an "AAAAHHHH" and tosses the bloody cooler back to the fan. He keeps drinking the Coke and then grabs Rage and slings him back toward the ring. TGD hits the floor and Josh lifts up the steel barrier. He rams it down hard on Rage's back and he cries out in pain. Josh flips him over and tries to drop the barricade right on Rage's head, but Mishima luckily rolls out of the way and the barrier crashes harmlessly to the floor. TGD crawls to the outside where the barrier used to be and throws a few pieces back at Josh to slow his progress. Josh ducks them and follows Rage back toward the ring.

Mishima slithers back into the ring for the first time since he was power bombed out. Josh staggers in right after him and both rise to their feet trying to gain the edge on their bloody opponent. Before Rage can react, Josh leaps up and lands on him hard with a cross body block. Josh pulls up and snap mares him over so he is in a sitting position on the mat then locks in a chin lock in an attempt to shut him down. The fans in attendance will Mishima back into the match by clapping their hands and banging on the guardrail in time with each other respectively. TGD uses their energy and pumps his fists, attempting to get the blood flowing once again.

Pete: Apparently, Mishima has hometeam advantage. Listen to them!

Rage gets away from Josh's hold, but before he can build momentum, Josh changes his hold and he takes Mishima down by yanking his hair. Josh rolls Rage over for a second time on the mat and this time he places his knee in the spine of his back and pulls his arms out behind him. Once again the fans are cheering Mishima on, this time with chants of “LET'S GO 'SHIMA!!”. TGD, his face contorted, again uses the fans to his advantage by elbowing Josh in the face. Josh gets back up to his feet but Mishima is on him quick as a cat and he punches Josh hard in the face. Rage pulls Josh up and Irish whips him to the ropes. As Josh comes back, Mishima bends down looking to catch Josh with a spine-buster, but Josh sees it coming and rolls over the top of his back into a sunset flip. Rage falls backward into a pinning predicament but almost on instinct he rolls over and hits a "Shining Wizard" on Josh who is vulnerable on the mat. Mishima pins Josh.

1.....

2.....

Mishima makes a small miscalculation and doesn't hook Josh's shoulders down thorough enough. Josh lunges off his back, breaking the count and rolls a shocked Mishima up, placing his entire body weight on Mishima holding his shoulders down abruptly as the audience boos.

Announcer: Josh Outland has taken the first fall!

The bell rings as JLO springs off of Mishima and taunts the crowd as well as flirting with Selena Starr through the camera from a distance as the crowd harps their hatred onto him. But Mishima is slowly getting up, with a fire in his eyes not present for a while…

Troy: Turn around Josh!!

Pete: I think Mishima doesn’t even care or know how hurt he is right now…look at his eyes!

Mishima slowly walks over to the taunting Outland, who snaps out of it sensing Mishma behind him and attempts a Backfist. But Mishima grabs his arm in mid swing, yanks it over towards him and slams an Elbow into his face, causing saliva to fly right out of his mouth! Mishima then begins a huge flurry, hurling out furious punches that come way too fast for Josh to prepare for. Mishima rears back for one more, but this time, Outland ducks underneath it and tries a haymaker of his own. But Mishima effortlessly evades it, clutches Outland’s arm and sweeps him hard to the mat with an Enzugiri! JLO immediately screams and hunches out in pain from the slam, and as Mishima notices that he left his face unguarded, he leaps up with a battlecry and slams his forearm right into the face of Outland, putting his full weight on it as the crowd goes “OoooooHH!!”

Troy: Wow….I don’t even think Botox will repair what Mishima just did…

Mishima goes for the pin, but only gets a 2 count as Outland thrusts a shoulder up. Mishima doesn’t seem to care as he lifts Outland’s head up by his hair and slams onto him with a fierce Headbutt, and then continues to try to reduce Outland’s face to pulp as he slams countless Elbows and Fists into it as blood heavily stains his fists and elbows. Outland attempts to grab one of Mishima’s arms to force him to stop, but the blood on his arms ruins his grip, allowing Mishima to slip free and deliver one devastating blow after another.

Troy: I bet this sick bastard is getting off on this Pete…look at all that blood!

Pete: Even if he is, it’s completely justified. I’d want that man dead if he ever did to me what he did to Mishima in that past month!

Mishima then lifts a groggy incoherent Outland up, and quickly snaps a Knee into his Forehead, sending him flying into the turnbuckle. As Outland is slumped against the corner, Mishima begins to back up himself, preparing for a Knee Kick as the crowd buzzes with anticipation.

Pete: If Mishima hits this, Outland is for SURE out of commission!

Mishima takes off and leaps into the Busaiku Knee Kick, but Outland slips out of the way, leaving Mishima to hit nothing but turnbuckle! Outland rolls out of the way as Mishima temporarily crashes to the mat. But Mishima is up again, and limping after Outland who scampered up in time. But as Mishima advances, Outland pops him in the throat with a Copperhead Strike, dropping Mishima to one knee, causing him to hold his throat in pain. Outland then punts Mishima right in his favored leg, causing him to go down all the way. Outland flashes an evil grin as he sees something he can exploit.

Troy: Mishima hurt his knee after the Knee Kick backfired!

Outland slowly circles Mishima while stomping the hurt knee, hoping to injure it as Mishima tries to roll out of the way for cover, but Outland takes Mishima’s leg, put his foot inside his knee and stomps down, causing Mishima to scream out in pain. Outland then continues the pressure, grabbing his leg again and locking in a Half Boston Crab. Mishima tries to make his way toward the ropes, but Outland pulls back and rears in the hold, applying near unbearable pressure.

Pete: Mishima CAN’T tap! If he does, he loses immediately!

Mishima makes another bid to reach the ropes, digging hard as Outland tries to apply enough pressure to make him tap. But Mishima is pushing hard, and he’s nearly at the rope…

Troy: Looks like he’ll make it after all….

But suddenly, Josh releases the hold, and exits the ring abruptly, headed to the announce table. He yells at the timekeeper to “get up! Get outta the way, don’t make me smack your fat ass!” The timekeeper complies, taking off and leaving his chair behind. Josh grabs the chair and flings it behind him into the ring, not knowing that Mishima is making his way up. Josh also sees the hammer used to ring the bell, and the lightbulb goes off in his head.

Pete: Outland, a sick mind always at work….he seems to enjoy threatening the livelihood of others…

Troy: Hey, Mishima signed up for this, and he’s just gotta deal with it, as do these people!

Pete: Mishima didn’t sign up for anything until Outland thought he could go around disrespecting everyone!

Outland grabs the hammer, which Mishima sees, and he falls back to the mat, playing possum as Outland slides back into the ring, eying Mishima’s knee like a hawk. He kicks Mishima over on his back and raises the hammer up….

Pete: NOOO! Outland’s going to end Mishima’s career with a shot to his knee like that!

But as Outland begins to bring the hammer down on his knee, Mishima lashes out with the other leg, kicking Outland square in his gut, causing Josh to double over in pain and drop the hammer! Mishima then kips up and slams Josh in the face with a hard right hand! As Outland stumbles over, Mishima picks up the hammer he dropped and holds it in a sheathed position as Greatness Personified turns around and charges at Mishima yelling “I’ll kill you for that, Jap!” But as Outland attempts a clothesline, Mishima dodges to the side and lashes out with the hammer, striking Outland square in his ribs! Greatness Personified releases a bloodcurdling scream of pain that Mishima likes to hear as he clutches the spot that he hit, squeezing it. Outland yelps out in pain as Mishima grabs Outland with the other arm and lifts him in the air, walking towards the ropes, wobbly but surely, and tosses him out of the ring, right into the knocked over guardrail that was set back up!

Pete: Mishima targeted the ribs of Josh Outland! Due to that scream of pain, they might be cracked!!

Troy: Oh, and a minute ago, Outland had a sick mind. Whatever Pete.

Mishima limps towards the chair Outland tossed in the ring, and takes it in his hand, exiting to the ring apron, gauging his distance between himself and the downed Outland, who writhes in pain on the guardrail. Mishima looks out to the crowd and gives them a nod of approval as they cheer him back, right before Mishima jumps on the top rope and executes a Asai Moonsault, holding the chair by his chest and landing right on Outland, digging the chair and the full weight of his body right into his ribs!

Pete: ASAI MOONSAULT WITH A CHAIR! His ribs have got to be SHATTERED!

Mishima wearily throws the chair away and makes a cover;

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT! Outland yelps in pain again as he thrusts his shoulder up ,
even spitting up blood from internal bleeding as Mishima, looking slightly annoyed, limps back up, pulling the severly wounded Outland with him and hurling him further down the audience, right before kicking him in the ribs again, causing Outland to scream “OH COME ON!” in a pained voice as he sinks to his knees in agony. But Mishima has no remorse left and he goes for another kick, but Outland grabs his leg, and shoves him headfirst into another barricade, causing him to slam his already concussed head into the bars. Mishima nearly passes out due to the pain raging in his head as Outland slowly stands up and punts his head across the bars, sending The Godly Destroyer down as the nearby crowd booes him relentlessly. Outland looks around to find himself a weapon as the crowd starts a “DOUCHEBAG” chant as Outland pushes a beer vendor aside and spies a lead pipe. He grabs it and heads back over towards Mishima, who’s keeled over by the guardrail, and slams him in the back with it, causing him to collapse. Outland keeps beating Mishima in the back with the pipe, laying into him with it relentlessly. Outland then roughly picks Mishima up, dropping his jaw across the guardrail, and then hooking him into a standing Backbreaker and executing it, sending Mishima to crash onto the floor in a heap. Outland drops the pipe and pins;

ONE!

TWO

KICKOUT by Mishima!

Pete: This is getting worse by the minute. How Mishima is still going after all the head trauma he’s received this month is nothing short of a medical miracle….

Troy: And look at Outland….he’s bleeding like a stuck pig, and those possibly broken ribs have to be effecting his breathing!

Outland picks the pipe back up and slams into Mishima’s neck with it before pressing it against his windpipe in an attempt to choke him out. Mishima starts to slump over, his movements slowing as he tries to back up Outland against the guardrail, but Outland keeps steady with his hold, as Mishima starts to fade away. But Outland can’t help but notice a female fan yelling at him with a Rage Mishima sign….

Troy: Hey Pete. Isn’t that Kuri’s guest? Rin Takanashi?

Pete: Yeah, she’s Japan’s current Pink Ranger on their Power Ranger show...

Outland hurls Mishima to the ground like a ton of bricks and walks over to Rin, getting in her face to talk trash. He snatches the sign away from her and spits on it, yelling “I’m sending him back with you to Japan…in a box, bitch!!” Rin gasps in anger, taking offense and punches Outland in the face!

Troy: HEY! SHE HIT HIM! WHERE’S SECURITY?!?!

Outland’s bloodied face turns even more red as he raises his hand in the air, possibly to strike Rin as she suddenly sits down in fear, but it’s a groggy Mishima to the rescue as he strikes Outland AGAIN in the ribs with the dropped lead pipe! Outland drops to the ground howling in anger and spitting out blood from the internal bleeding as Mishima tries to regain composure.

Pete: Maybe Outland should pay more attention to Mishima rather than the guests at our event…

Mishima gives Rin a thumbs up as she claps for him and leads the fans in a “MISHIMA” cheer. The Godly Destroyer wearily drags Josh over towards the double doors, ramming Outland into a wall nearby. But Outland elbows Mishima in the face, causing the crowd to yell “BOO!” But Mishima fires a punch back at Outland, resulting in the crowd yelling “YAY!” Soon enough, the two are exchanging punches back and forth, with the crowd responding for each one:

“BOO!”

“YAY!”

“BOO!”

“YAY!”

But Outland begins winning the volley, the crowd booing behind every punch he fires at Mishima’s concussed head. Outland then tries for the J-L-O! But Mishima shoves him back into the wall again, kicks Outland in the ribs, and Hip Tosses him to the floor, getting the spirits of the crowd up again! Mishima looks around as the crowd cheers him on until he spies a flatbed with a big stack of leftover chairs…

Pete: Troy…I think things are about to get worse…

Mishima drags the rack of chairs over near the downed SOS stalwart, with a new fire in his eyes. He picks up chair number one, lifts it up and slams it hard over Outland’s head! He throws it away, takes the next chair, and nearly wraps it around Josh’s back! He throws that chair away, and soon enough, Mishima is slamming into Outland with each chair on the rack, crumpling his body with every hit as the crowd yells “WHOOOOOO!!” with every shot!

Troy: What brutality! There’s got to be about 40 extra chairs on that thing!

Pete: And Mishima’s using every single one to incapacitate Greatness Personified!

Soon enough, Josh is laying on his back, bruised up and bloodied utop a pile of chairs, his body racked with pain from each chair shot Mishima delivered. The Godly Destroyer is down to 2 chairs, and he lifts up a nearly broken Outland, placing his head through the back of the chair in the seat. Mishima then lifts the remaining chair as Outland yells at Mishima for mercy. But Mishima shakes his head no, and says “I told you. May there be mercy for you…but you won’t get it from me!” right before swinging the chair like a baseball bat right into the skull of Outland! As the shocked crowd begins their “HOLY SH*T” chant, Mishima isn’t done yet, winding up with his foot and kicking the chair Outland’s head is rested on from underneath, flipping him backward and sending him crashing to the concrete in a heap of blood, limbs and metal!

Troy: OH MY GOD!!! THAT WAS SICK!!

Pete: Well….guess that makes them even for the TV incident.

Troy: NO IT DOESN’T! THAT STEEL CHAIR SYMPHONY WAS OVERKILL!!

Mishima wrenches the chair off of a K.O.’ed Outland’s neck and pins him as a ref runs over and counts on the bloody floor;

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

The bell rings as the crowd explodes in anticipation for one more fall!

Announcer: Rage Mishima has taken fall two!!

Mishima suddenly keels over, his injuries taking their toll after the adrenaline wears off. He stumbles against the double doors trying to shake off his dizzy spell as he sees Outland weakily recovering…

Pete: Looks like Mishima’s injuries from the past month are taking their toll…I don’t know how much longer he can go…

Troy: And look at Josh! He’s an absolute WRECK in a matter of 30 minutes!

Mishima clears the cobwebs finally, and clutches onto him while yelling to the crowd “If I’m going down, I’m taking him with me!!” before hurling Outland through the double doors and then stumbling to give chase.

Pete: Something tells me this last fall is going to be the worst of all….

Josh is staggering up dazed and utterly confused. He uses the flatbed to pick himself up and he tries to stand but falls right back down. He hoists himself up again and when he goes to walk he stumbles still dazed. Mishima is watching on in amusement as Josh finally regains his foot. He props up on the wall and tries to regain his bearing leaning his head on it. Mishima gets up and feels his head and the battered JLO breaks into a run and tackles Mishima into a wall. The wall is cheap material and breaks, leaving the men outside the locker room area.

Troy: Now these two are destroying the building!

Josh immediately grabs TGD and punches him in the face. He sees the soda machine and slings Rage's head into it. The plastic partition breaks and shatters everywhere and Rage is propped against the machine in a daze.

Pete: Does Outland have some kind of soda fetish?

Josh runs and presses Mishima into the machine. Mishima collapses and Josh mounts him and starts punching him with worn out fists of fury. Josh punches til his arm is sore and then he stands up. He grabs the edge of the machine and lets it fall down onto Mishima's chest. Mishima cries out in pain and Josh leaves the machine on Rage's chest and grabs a chair set up to sit on. Josh folds up the chair and walks back to TGD. He lifts it high and slams it down HARD onto the machine. Mishima groans in agony and JLO slams it down, again and again and again, finally approaching Rage's head and slamming the chair down brutally onto Rage's head. Josh could very easily pin Rage, but he strains, slipping the machine off and starts kicking Mishima's kneecap. He sees a cameraman filming and he snatches the camera. He hoists it up and drives it down onto TGD's knee, and it connects with a sickening thud. Mishima rolls in pain and agony and in desperation kicks the camera into Josh's face. JLO staggers back in shock and drops the camera. Rage grabs the mangled chair and then sets it up and attempts to stand propping on it. Josh waits until he gets to his base, then JLO runs in and punts him in the knee. TGD falls down in a heap, landing on the chair with his neck, effective being guillotined. Josh sits down in the chair and waits for Rage to get up which takes a minute of labor on his part.

Pete: Outland's still targeting the knee...it's gotta be in bad shape now.

Rage gets up in a limp and grabs at a desk trying to stand on his bad wheel. Josh grabs Mishima and slings him into the table, then slams his head on it, and finally sets Rage on the table, punching him in the head a few times. He takes the chair and blasts TGD on his bad knee. He then lays the chair down on Rage's chest and JLO scrambles to the top of another machine, and sits on the top. He jumps off preparing to lay waste to Mishima with a leg drop, but Rage sees him coming and throws the chair up into Josh's face. Josh is struck in midair and falls sickeningly down onto the table and Rage. The table cracks under both men's weight, and Josh hits the back of his neck on the table's frame. Both men lay there on the collapsed table in exhaustion for a few minutes.

Troy: Unbelievable, it looks like Josh took the worst of that!

Rage hits his feet after hobbling on the bad wheel for a bit. Josh is starting to get back up but Rage yells and slings him through a door marked "Stairwell." Josh crashes into the door and Mishima is on him, throwing him into the wall. Josh is dazed and Mishima slings him into the guardrail. Josh looks down almost hanging over the railing. He looks down at the bottom of the floor 15 feet down in a stupor. Rage rushes and grabs him TRYING TO THROW HIM OVER THE RAILING!!! Josh's face turns beet red and he strains and finally locks onto Rage's head with his legs and slings him into the guardrail. Josh drops down and holds a hand to his heart, breathing damn hard from the close call. Mishima shakes the cobwebs off and JLO grabs him and slings him into the wall. Rage hits the wall with a THUD and collapses right near the top of the stairs. A sick expression gleams on Josh's face and he lifts his head up in recognition. He braces and as Mishima is trying to stand.....

Pete: Wait...WAIT!!!

JOSH PUNTS HIM SQUARE IN THE HEAD SENDING HIM ROLLING DOWN THE 15 FOOT STAIRWELL TO THE BOTTOM!!!

Pete: OH MY GOD! Outland's sick mind will stop at nothing!!

Troy: They're both sick Pete...

Rage tumbles down the stairs in a bloody decrepit heap and Josh staggers down half in shock and half in pain. His eyes are wide as he reaches the bottom where TGD is STILL down and seemingly out. Josh grabs Rage and slings him through a door that says "Parking Lot." Rage tumbles through the door and Josh immediately grabs him and slings him into the side of a car. The dazed Rage can't even cover up as Josh proceeds to blast him with knuckles to the head. Josh then opens the driver side door up, slamming it into Rage. With this, Josh slings Mishima inside the car and slams the door, locking Mishima inside.

Pete: Oh no...what the hell is he thinking of now...I think Josh just could have pinned him already...

Cameras follow Josh who gets in a Chevy Silverado, hot wires it to crank it up, and then puts the truck into drive. Josh reaches up and puts on the seatbelt buckling it up. He pulls the strap tight and places his hands onto the wheel. He pulls the shifter and lets the tires rev, burning them out and smoke rises up from the tires. A sick feeling comes over the audience as it's now perfectly CLEAR what JLO has in mind.

Troy: Oh come on, even I won't condone THIS!!! COME ON!!

As if to answer the fears, Josh pulls the shifter forward and slams the pedal down, driving up to about 80 before PLOWING INTO THE CAR MISHIMA IS IN!! He hits with a loud CRASH!!!

Pete: Josh Outland may have killed a man!!!

He sits there in the driver's seat breathing hard for a minute, then he puts it in reverse, driving backwards, and finally in park, shutting off the truck and climbing out, inspecting the carnage.

He peers into the window but luckily....NO RAGE MISHIMA!!!

Pete: Wh-what?! Mishima’s not in the car!! Thank god!

Outland franctically looks around in disbelief until Mishima appears behind him on top of another vehichle, leaping off into a Flying Forearm, striking Outland in the face as he turns around! Outland crumbles beneath him and Mishima, seemingly pissed over what Outland attempted begins pounding on him again with alternating lefts and right before hurling Outland into the mangled SUV. Outland’s head bounces off the door and Mishima continues, opening the door and placing Outland’s head in the window, rolling it up. Mishima then slams the door shut, jarring Outland’s whole body as he groans in pain. Mishima isn’t done yet, propping himself up and kicking Outland in his broken ribs several times, causing him to howl in agony. Mishima then runs to the other side, opens the passenger door and leaps through to the driver’s side, slamming into Outland’s face and breaking the window, causing him to roll out backwards! Mishima climbs out of the car as Outland keeps tumbling over.

Pete: Mishima, despite all the damage done, is STILL moving like that! I can't even fathom the pain he's in!!

Troy: And what about Outland? Mishima won't quit targeting the ribs!

Mishima catches up to Outland, dragging him by his head and hurling him into the grill of a nearby semi, sprawling him across it. Mishima then slams his boot right into Outland’s ribs again, making him scream in agony again! Mishima lets him drop, before wrenching the hood open of the truck, then gingerly scooping JLO up and putting him on the motor of the truck. Mishima then climbs onto the roof of the cab, leaping up and landing on the hood, coming down right on JLO’s chest! But Mishima tumbles off as well due to his bad leg and takes a nasty spill on the floor! JLO rolls off the hood as well, landing next to Mishima as both men seems to be out.

Pete: Both men are down...they both need to call it a night.

After a few minutes, Josh hesitantly gets to his feet first. At this point, he's had enough and climbs up on the mangled car. From there, he scrambles up onto the huge black semi that's parked in the lot. Josh climbs up the side and finally gets on the front of the truck. He stands there taunting the dazed Mishima who immediately gives chase, seeking to shut JLO up for good. Mishima climbs up behind Outland and the two combatants soon find themselves face to face on the front of the semi. Josh and Rage start throwing hands. After a bit, TGD gains the advantage. He goes to push his advantage but Josh gives him a drop toe hold and he hits his face on the top of the truck. After this, Josh grabs Mishima and HURLS him through the driver side window!!!

Pete: GOOD GOD! Mishima just went through the driver's side window!!!

Mishima connects with a CRASH and goes inside the truck. Josh struggles to and manages to pull him out of the window of the semi. He grabs Rage and slings him up to the very roof of the semi. Josh climbs up behind him and picks the mutilated Rage Mishima up. He struggles, and hoists him up on his shoulders, going for his J-L-O finisher. TGD senses this and wiggles a bit, Josh tries to keep the finisher engaged but Mishima jerks free.

Pete: Mishima countered the JLO!

Troy: But.....

The momentum forces both men off the truck and they land hard on the hood of a car. Rage lands on his back and Josh lands on his face, both are knocked breathless, but Josh's hand slightly covers Rage's shoulder. A ref comes running over and makes the count.

1......

2......

Pete: Not this way damnit!!! After all he's gone through Mishima has to outlast Outland!!!

Troy: After the hellacious beating they're both wasted.....

3. Rage gets the left shoulder up weakly, but just one millisecond too late...

Post Match - We Need Help! Fast!

Rage can barely hold his left arm up and it slumps back down as the realization hits that the carnage is finally over. The ref raises Josh's limp arm and when he lets it go, it falls down quickly. The ref sees this and starts calling for ambulances to rush to the arena.

Ref: SOMEBODY GET SOME HELP!!!

The cameras stay on the parking lot as spectators rush out and then Kuri and Selena come up. With Kuri, is Rin Takanashi, both looking on at both Rage Mishima and Josh Outland's mangled mutilated bodies in shock and fear. Selena Starr comes up behind them and although the 2 starlets can't stand each other, they ignore each other and see to their pick.

Pete: Josh Outland got the win...but at what cost, Troy...I don't even think he knows he won...

Troy:That's the point...nobody won here. But two careers might have ended tonight....

At this point, the ambulances arrive and EMTs rush out with stretchers.

Pete:.....Josh said it....neither man would be able to walk away.

Troy: I don't think anybody was expecting this brutality though....

Pete: Both men being stretchered out when everyone speculated that only one would be...

At this point, the EMTs are putting neckbraces on both Rage and Josh respectively and preparing to put them on the stretcher. The starlets are crying and looking on in fear.

Troy: This was such....utter brutality....I can't think of the words...

Pete: Josh made things so personal....and now neither man may ever be the same again....

Troy: One man's rise to fame might be cut off, and the other's comeback is probably forfeit after this.

The EMTs have rushed Mishima and Outland to separate ambulances and have secured them in. The starlets opt to leave Revolution and go with their charge. They climb in and sit down as the doors shut. Within minutes, the ambulances start up and pull out of the arena. The camera focuses on the ambulances driving away, then returns to Pete and Troy.

Pete: I'm sure Rage Mishima doesn't care about dropping his winning streak tonight. I'm sure he only has one question in his mind, if he'll even make it to a 5th Revolution after this.

Troy: And a wrestler's first Revolution is usually a dream come true. But for Josh Outland, it was a living hell. And now it might have cost him dearly. Might have cost both of these men.

Mishima wearily throws the chair away and makes a cover;

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT! Outland yelps in pain again as he thrusts his shoulder up ,
even spitting up blood from internal bleeding as Mishima, looking slightly annoyed, limps back up, pulling the severly wounded Outland with him and hurling him further down the audience, right before kicking him in the ribs again, causing Outland to scream “OH COME ON!” in a pained voice as he sinks to his knees in agony. But Mishima has no remorse left and he goes for another kick, but Outland grabs his leg, and shoves him headfirst into another barricade, causing him to slam his already concussed head into the bars. Mishima nearly passes out due to the pain raging in his head as Outland slowly stands up and punts his head across the bars, sending The Godly Destroyer down as the nearby crowd booes him relentlessly. Outland looks around to find himself a weapon as the crowd starts a “DOUCHEBAG” chant as Outland pushes a beer vendor aside and spies a lead pipe. He grabs it and heads back over towards Mishima, who’s keeled over by the guardrail, and slams him in the back with it, causing him to collapse. Outland keeps beating Mishima in the back with the pipe, laying into him with it relentlessly. Outland then roughly picks Mishima up, dropping his jaw across the guardrail, and then hooking him into a standing Backbreaker and executing it, sending Mishima to crash onto the floor in a heap. Outland drops the pipe and pins;

ONE!

Mishima wrenches the chair off of a K.O.’ed Outland’s neck and pins him as a ref runs over and counts on the bloody floor;

ONE!

TWO!

Re: Who is the single best sim fed character you've seen?

Postby Hanley! » Mar 07, '14, 1:01 pm

In our defense, that was the very first pay per view we booked, and we had to make use of the characters we had left after the mass exodus. JLO had been kinda a big character and with all the main eventers gone, people like that were going to get some high spots. Didn't last very long though. I think he had one more pay per view and that was it.

I always thought JLO was a hilarious character, but not for the right reasons. He was written as if by an excitable 13 year old wrestling fan. His entrance alone was incredible. Two full pages of every entrance cliche and random sound effect thrown together to make him seem MOAR EPIC. He was like the triple cage match from WCW but in human form.

On the best sim character front, I'll probably have to be boring and say Devine too. I've always been a mark for him, and campaigned pretty heavily for his push upon becoming a mod. Tom never had any problems getting the character's personality across, in or out of the ring, and it elevated his stuff a lot. He was the ultimate heel for many years, and I enjoyed playing the foil to him on occasion. The Devine/Maverick stuff was a blast to write, easily some of the best stuff I've done.

There have been plenty of others I like, though off the top of my head I can think of four others that really stood out: Mark Thomas, Daz, Desmond Frazier & David Logan. And in every case, what really made them work (along with good writing) was a believable personality and constant character development. I think those guys showed some of the best character development in the fed. That made them stand out to me over some of the flashier characters, who could more easily wear out their welcome or start to seem one-dimensional after a while.

Can't believe I forgot Frazier. Suppose it's cause I never had a chance to work with the character really, outside of Battlefield match. The Logan's too. David Logan during the UK/US feud was just tremendous long term booking, and it impacted all these moving pieces underneath him. A lot of that had to do with the loveable sort of blue chipper good guy image, and the slime ball characteristics he took on when he came up against people like Daz during the war. Tremendous.

Devine was great, but to be different I'll say Mike Maverick. Devine was great at the way he would do things and the details were what was truly exciting, but the character itself was always going to be a heel and was pretty narrow in the way he would manipulate things to get himself over in kayfabe terms. Now Maverick was truly unpredictable, you never knew when he came out whether he was going to shake somebody's hand or kick their teeth in. He was totally versatile and interesting. The Devine character did everything he could have done in WCSF, but Maverick didn't even scratch the surface on his potential.

For me it will always be Daz. He is a great face and can be an exceptional heel. Like I think Daz should go heel again that's how much I liked it. Seriously I want heel Daz to feud with me haha. I wasn't really around to see the best of Devine and Maverick but I knew of them while in SOS. I blame Tim for that and BOY DID HE MISS OUT!

If we're going overrated I'm nominating Zach-Zero. I'll never understand why Buck made him such an SOS focal point.

Funny enough I never had issues when writing with Josh. JLO and Omega were blood rivals since I started and we had some good single and tag team matches.

For me, I would have to say Daz. The character has wrestled across multiple e-feds and has been known to put on the best matches in each fed he has been in, and his character has probably had more storylines that intrigues you (his feud with Devine was probably my favourite to write, with him getting boo'ed despite being the number one face character in the company). He had classic feuds with the likes of Thomas, Ex, Devine, Omega, Maverick etc. I find it hard to look past him, especially considering he is the one "main event" character of the old WCSF era remaining and still generating a good buzz. Other greats include Mark Thomas, David Logan, Mike Maverick, Executioner and Dynamite.

Thanks to everyone who said Devine; his character is something I am proud of and I cannot ever imagine myself topping him should I ever decide to write for PCW!

Johnny Devine and Daz, simply because there's something about those two guys that made you better. I've always said that those two just flip that internal switch that tells you to step your game up. I've always said my best matches were with Tom, and it's because you look like a better writer by association. I found my groove working with Devine. If I hadn't, there'd be no way I'd still be writing.
