What was "the" TV show of 2013?

Games of Thrones and Breaking Bad reached popularity peaks of unparalleled proportions in 2013, particularly the latter. At university, I didn't go past a day at one stage without seeing somebody either talk about Breaking Bad or wearing a Heisenberg t-shirt. Dexter, which was extremely popular in its prime, also came to an end, as did The Office US. Other popular shows such as The Walking Dead continued and we also saw some new works come along (Bate's Motel, Derek, being a few). What do you think was the show of 2013? And, while we're at it, which show did you find yourself enjoying the most?

It has to be Breaking Bad. For as much hype as that show got, it was going to be next to impossible to end it satisfactorily and it hit the nail on the head with so much force. Every episode of that show in 2013 and through it's lifetime was incredible. It never slowed down once.

Game of Thrones is a very close runner up, but I have to give it to Breaking Bad for all it did for TV. It will go down in history as one of the best television shows ever.

Yeah chalk another one up for Breaking Bad - sublime finale to a brilliant show. Though Moment of the Year belongs to Game of Thrones and the Red Wedding/

Sons of Anarchy for me. I think it's one of the most consistent shows on television. It always finds way to surprise me. But, because Breaking Bad had it's finale, it's hard not to go with that, even though I never got into it the way I would have like, or the way most people did.

The only other TV show that interested me besides wrestling is the Walking Dead, really liked the new season so far can't wait for 2014 to see the rest of the season.
