Apparently the South African teams the Springboks, the Proteas and Bafana Bafana are now required to field a roster of 60% black players. HOW IS THAT A GOOD DECISION. I really hope international sporting organizations ban the South African teams until their sports minister gets his head out of his ass because this is clear racism. You should show preference to players who EARN the right to play through dedication and skill and aren't just handed a spot. How will a player who wouldn't be talented enough on his own react to the disdain from his teammates and countrymen for getting a spot simply based on his skin colour. Now I recognize it's important to develop sports in the black communities but there has to be a better way to do so. The government and sporting bodies should invest more money and time in schools and communities and encourage and offer affordable sports training to children of all races. Get them hooked young.
Now I know their are still A LOT of hostilities in South Africa from the apartheid are but other countries work past that. Canada and America don't have quotas for natives in our sports and we FUCKED them over hard. Then there's the Irish national rugby union team that works great representing both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland without quotas and they have insane bad blood between the two countries.
