I don't think I want to drink it ever again, I had a sip, gagged, rinsed my mouth out with water and chucked the rest away :lol

It reminded me of teachers breath. Utterly horrifying stuff.

I used to hate coffee when I was younger. Then when I started working I realized I needed something so I wasn't dead in the morning, so I started drinking it with a buttload of milk and sugar. Then I gradually started to put less sugar in it, until I only put milk in it. Then I gradually started putting in less milk until I no longer put anything in it. Now I drink coffee black. Coffee went from being way too disgusting and bitter to not being disgusting and bitter enough. Anything's possible if you believe in yourself, I suppose.

Well if you drink it more you get used to it. Since I saw this topic you made me make some where at home. Do you like @Circled Square said add more sugar or something sweet since it makes it taste better. Also you could always try a lighter roast of coffee. You might of tried the dark roast which is really strong many try medium or other lighter blends.

I been drinking coffee since I was a teenager and now I can't go a day with out my cup of coffee. I mostly have it in the morning to get my day started.

Try it again when you're hungover and only had a couple of hours sleep. It's like a miracle cure.

Yeah I'm with you. Never been a coffee guy, just don't care for the taste at all. And why bother forcing it if it's not really good for you anyway?

Plus I don't want to be one of those people that stands in line at Starbucks or Tim Horton's daily like a cocaine addict waiting for their fix.

I go through little spells of having coffee every now and then. I didn't like it first either but I didn't just force feed it to myself until I liked it, I waited a few months and then the fancy took me and I tried it again, liked it a little more. It's still not a favourite of mine but it is nice to have on occasion and can be useful if you're feeling a bit sluggish.

I love coffee, but I wasn't able to drink it for the last two years cos of reflux problems.

I had my first coffee in two years last week, after getting my reflux problems sorted, and it made me dizzy. God fucking dammit. :lol Hopefully it's just a case of my body adjusting to caffeine again. I've waited long enough for my caffeine fix!!

It was a skinny hazelnut latte. That's probably top of my list.

I drink it with sugar and milk but not so sure if it really wakes me up in the morning tbh. I've never felt that feeling, sat at my desk on a Monday morning after a mug of coffee thinking "Fuck, I feel refreshed and bright!". It's more of a meh, it's OK I guess. Good to enjoy when it's freezing outside. Never tried black coffee though.

Technically coffee doesn't actually help you wake up in the morning. But people who drink it regularly develop a mild addiction, so when they don't drink it in the morning they get withdrawal symptoms. So when they do go and get a coffee, it makes them feel more alert. Even though they feel no more alert than they would if they had never tried coffee before.

So the idea that coffee helps you wake up is kinda bullshit. But it's still a lie I've been very willing to tell myself on many Monday mornings. :lol

Hmm, I may try it again at some point, definitely not gong to force myself to like it. We have one of those Tassimo machines, Mr Twister only wanted it for the hot chocolate pods but we got some coffee ones for visitors, they do loads of different 'flavours', so I thought I'd see what the fuss was about.
