strawpoll

I disagreed with a streamer I was watching on the above question so I made a poll. What do you guys think is better and why did you choose Lasagne?

Lasagna. Lidl do a pretty good lasagna over here, it's got more layers of beef than @SKS's mum.

Calzones are pretty damn good. But it's Lasagne. A Lasagne done well is better than most things, being honest. @Kirbi makes an excellent one. She makes her own ragu and slow cooks it for like 7 hours. It's the best. I've already tried to convince her to make me one when I'm back to eating large meals. :P

Funny you say you like lasagne better as your mum has a lot in common with calzones, they both get stuffed with various things daily. :fu

I'll have to go with lasagne since I don't know what a calzone is. Also I'm not a big fan of Lasagne.

Lasagna is one of my favorite meals, and there are so many ways you can make it. I fucking love lasagna, especially a lasagna with italian sausage in addition (or in place of) ground beef, and with spinach in it.

They're kinda like a folded over pizza. So the base is on the outside and there's a filling in the middle.

They can be very good.

I'm not even sure why we are comparing these things. They aren't all that similar at all. It's kinda like comparing a steak from a fine restaurant to a McDonald's cheeseburger. Lasagna is definitely better. Calzones are good though.

That's not really a fair comparison. They're a lot closer in quality than a great steak would be to a shitty burger. At least depending on where you're getting them. I prefer lasagna to calzones, but I'd much rather a calzone from a nice restaurant than a cheap lasagna from a carvery.

I do kinda want steak now though.
