What do you hate the most about being a man?

Here's a few I can think of, I'm sure I'll think of a couple more later though. I've been thinking about this for the last couple of days, as one of my lecturers (who has had several articles and books published on feminism) said that women can't be sexist towards men. It started off a lot of shit in the class, but she stood by her opinion.

Some things I hate about being a man:

- If you're upset, depressed, in pain - "Man up and get over it"
- Huge gender gap in regards to cancer research (I read prostate cancer research gets 20 times less funding in the UK than breast cancer research, despite being equally as common)

As I said, I'll probably have a few other ideas later.

The prostate cancer statistic does suck. My Dad is battling with prostate cancer at the moment, so that's something that hits home with me.

The first thing that came to mind for me though is clothes. There's just no range out there for what guys can wear. There's far less clothes shops and not a large variety in most of them. I find myself getting bored wearing the same stuff all the time. That's one thing that I reckon must be better about being a woman.

Of course, there's a flip side to that too - it comes with more societal pressure to look good all the time, which would be a negative for sure.

Agree with both of your points. I do think sensitivity and care towards men with depression has grown considerably well over the years, though. At least where I'm from.

Having the pressure of being the bread-winner of the family (not experienced that role but dreading it!) as I'm lazy I feel!

But also having the pressures of society and your own community to conform to what someone of my age should be doing. "Oh, he should be doing this or that". Or one of my cases, I should know everything about cars and be interested in them when I'm not even though I've passed.

I hate shaving. I always trim with an electric beard trimmer and shave if I have to for special occasions.

I find it hard to complain about anything. Life in general is just easier and better if you're a man. Especially if you're a good one.

Minimal grooming (no makeup and shit)
I don't need to shove things into my private parts
Don't get upset or aggravated by things that simply don't matter
Easier to make friends and casual acquaintances.
Only need one pair of shoes for each purpose so I have more money for beers and video games.

I am expected to know about cars. I could give a fuck about cars. If you hand me a part to an engine I can disassemble the thing and replace it than put it back together, But ask me whats wrong with it and unless it's out of gas I don't have a clue. Also someone having a '68 Mustang means absolutely dick to me. To me there is no difference practicality wise between that and my 2003 Malibu. Only mine gets better millage and can hold five people.
