I write quite a bit. I'm currently about a third of the way through my first draft of a fantasy novel. I've done short stories and essays and articles, etc. on the side also. I used to write some poetry when I was younger but I grew out of it.
I write music, predominantly for guitar but sometimes on piano. I play a few other instruments too, but I tend to focus on these two.
I'm not sure if anyone here plays D&D or knows much about it, but I'm the dungeon master for what has become a very long and complex campaign. A lot of creative work goes into this - I haven't used any of the default worlds, so it involves creating an entire world from scratch, along with a massive set of characters and a narrative to tie it all together. Then there is creating battles and play mechanics for each individual game. I've created a pretty vast universe in the game so far and I'm starting on epic tier this weekend.
I've never DMed a game of D&D but I have done two Star Wars campaigns and yeah, you need to create a world that works, buildings, people, creatures, a money system, and than hope that they don't just pass it bye.
