What do you do for a living?

Come introduce yourself, have a drink and talk about anything! This is the place for any and all off-topic conversations.

Work as an Environmental Accountant. Basically we do mandatory Government reporting for big mine sites in Austraila. It's not the be all and end all, but it pays the bills and lets me live the lifestyle I want so I don't complain!

It's not bad. Work is not too hard and the money is fairly decent. I am pretty happy here. It was never my ideal job but I wouldn't be bother if I stayed here a while. Lots of pretty girls to look at while I'm working as well, so that's an added bonus.

The hell type of warehouse do you work in where there's pretty girls and how do I find one like that :lol

Right now I'm a cashier and stock boy at a liquor store and I hate every single day of it. I'm in love with welding and have been trying to find a job to get me into that field. I don't drive though and a lot of the jobs are commute only so it's real tough. I have some real anxiety when I'm behind the wheel due to multiple accidents and near accidents and shut down while driving if I get remotely stressed. Anyways I'm trying to work on that and in the mean time I am hopeful for this one shop. This guy told me he'll give my resume to the GM who will look it over and set up an interview. I've yet to have anyone say that to me so I kinda have my hopes up.

As for the living part, if I can get a welding job then I'd be one of those lucky people who does what he loves. I just want a simply life where I make some money and have time to play rugby and go hunting and fishing in my spare time. I've never had big aspirations for life nor am I solely motivated by money like many people I know trying to break into the trades.

They are all foreign. Mostly Polish. Couple of Latvians and Russians. There is one Estonian girl (who I think I'm falling in love with.) The warehouse I work for hire all of their workers as temps through and agency. It's how everyone starts their job there. After a while, if they want to employ them permanently they can. I got made permanent back in March. Now, the agency will hire absolutely anyone. Seriously, there are some right fucking idiots there. So when they come over to this country to find work and they have no experience in anything or any references, they look for work in warehouses.

I'm currently at Uni but have a part-time job as an online chat adviser for a student accommodation company.

Pretty easy work, decent pay. Meh.

Man I always think you can't get more weird and then you say something else :lol

The image of Viazon and his equally odd mates all sat outside the supermarket eating chicken together in the car is too much :lol
