Do you live alone?

Postby Matteo » Nov 02, '13, 7:28 pm

Since I'm only twenty, I still live at home, although I'd love to move into my own apartment one day, but the costs are awfully high. I know a few guys/girls that are in their late 20s and still live at home because the expense factor is way too crucial.

You?

I lived with my parents to save money until I was 22, at which point I moved in with my girlfriend. I'm 27 now and it's still just the two of us living together, though we have relocated to Dublin since then.

So I've never lived alone and likely never will. I don't really feel like I've missed out on that much. I like some alone time on occasion, but I still get that now. And I feel I'd get bored without company if I was living on my own for too long.

I do know a lot of people who are older than myself who are still living with their parents to save cash, particularly here in Dublin. I can't blame them really - expenses are high at the moment and job opportunities/career advancement are really hard to come by right now.

I'm 27 and still live at home. I know I should probably have my own place by now but it is just cheaper to stay at home. Most of my best friends have their own places now but they live with their girlfriends. Between two incomes, they are able to afford a place. I doubt I could afford a place on my own, which is why it's best that I still live with my parents. I would have liked to have been living with a girl at this age, but hey. Sometimes things don't work out the way you hope.

I live in a house with my brother that our mom owns. She lives down on the other side of town though. Recently a buddy of mine has moved in which is starting to cause some tension. He stinks up the house and moved his girlfriend in even though he has no right to do so. Our mom is letting it all slide for now and we are pretty upset with her. Me and my brother now want to rent a place like an apartment or house down near our cousin. The only things holding it up are the fact that I only have a part-time job right now and am having A LOT of difficulty even getting an interview let alone a job. The other down side is we have a dog so that limits where we could go. I sure as hell ain't ever giving up my princess. She's been with us for over 8 years and I hope to have her for at least another 8. Anyways me and my brother are both in our early 20's so it's a pretty decent set up for now. Everything included in the costs(water/electricity, gas and TV/Internet) so that's pretty great.

Oh yah our hippie biker grandpa lives in the basement but we only talk to him sometimes. He's kinda hard to get along with.

I live with my wife and our two special needs dogs.

I have lived alone and it was magical, but I prefer it now with the wife of course.

I'm 25 and have lived by myself for about two and a half years now, after having had roommates all throughout college and living back at home my first year after graduation. It was weird getting used to being alone, but now I prefer it honestly. There's so much more freedom, and you don't have to worry about cleaning up other people's messes.

I used to live alone for a few months. Now some lady and her three kids live with me. She claims that's how it works since we are married and they are mine.

I've been living alone in my own apartment for the past year and i absolutely love it. Well i actually share it with my 100 pound dog kayla but besides her, i have all the freedom to do whatever i want to the place! I just prefer living alone for the time being until my girlfriend decides that its time to move in together.

Currently live with 3 housemates at Uni, when I'm back home in Birmingham I still live with my Mum. Both are extremely average.

I think I'll enjoy it more when I have my own place either alone or with my girlfriend.

Man I always think you can't get more weird and then you say something else :lol

The image of Viazon and his equally odd mates all sat outside the supermarket eating chicken together in the car is too much :lol
