49ers hire Chip Kelly

I'd say they should be worried about how he dismantled Philly's roster, but they don't have much of a roster left to dismantle, so fuck it!

I bet they keep Kaep now with Kelly at the helm. Seems like Chip's kind of player.

If they tell Chip that he's the coach and only the coach then this has a chance to work, but the roster needs a lot of work. Kelly should do a world of good for Kaep though and make them at least respectable in the next couple years.

I like the hire. Chip Kelly can be a good coach in the NFL. He just needs limited player personnel power. The 49ers limited talent is a big issue though. Granted the 49ers may have the exact right players to run his system. They have the necessary dual threat QB, a perennial pro bowl left tackle, and a solid RB. They will have to work on parts of the rest of the o-line and on their defense. I wouldn't be shocked if Kelly drafts Elliot out of OSU. Pairing him with Hyde would allow for a solid 1-2 punch. After that, draft all defense.

Zeke and Kaep running the read option would be a fantastic start to the Kelly offense.

I still not sold on Kaepernick. Even with an offense that fits his style I question his decision making skills. The 49ers don't really have much of a choice though. None of the QB's coming out really fit that offense style. Maybe Carson Wentz, but I don't know enough about the offense he ran at NDSU.
