ESPN is desperately trying to get Tebow back in NFL

Postby Messiah » Jan 05, '14, 11:43 pm

Seriously, this entire thing is a joke but hilarious at the same time. Basically since Tebow has agreed to a deal with ESPN to be on the SEC Network (however, there is a stipulation in there that says he can leave any time if an NFL team offers him), every ESPN personality has rode his dick. Deadspin explains it better.

Dilfer says he can throw better because of how he looked throwing in shorts and deserves another chance. But knowing Dilfer the analyst, I doubt he actually believes that crap. ESPN is going to suck the life out of every ounce of Tebow hype.

I'm not so sure that it's actually about getting Tebow back in the NFL though. To me it seems more like a hype party for ESPN's newest signing and the guy they are clearly marking to be the face of the new ESPN SEC Network. Their analysts talking about him in an NFL way is just an interlude to have them all mention he's now an analyst for them.

Yeah I'm with Legend, not ENTIRELY sure it's about them getting Tebow back in the league, but it's clear that they're never going to stop dickriding the guy. I feel bad for Tebow -- the media has completely ruined his career, and he's pretty much had to come to grips with the fact that he'll never play again because of all the hype that other people built up around him.

I'm not sure why teams haven't given him a chance considering some of the quarterbacks some teams have played this season, he was never a terrible quaterback and isn't a bad short team guy or a bad back up IMO, shame really

^Because the hooplah isn't worth it for a below average quarterback.

If he does actually improve his mechanics, he could have a shot. But as Tim said, is it worth all the media attention? That being said though, his motion does look a little better and they said it was Tebow who called Dilfer, not vice versa. Tim is a hard working guy and you know he'll give it everything he has to be a QB in the league again.

His mechanics look better because he is in shorts. Put him in an actual game and he will just resort back to his old tendencies.
