Four games left. Will the Browns go 0-16?

Postby Everlong » Nov 28, '16, 3:57 pm

They're dangerously close to being the second team ever to do it. At this point, is there anyone they can beat?

They don't play the Packers, unfortunately for them.

They have a bye this week and then they host the Bengals, who look pitiful without Green and Bernard in their first attempt without them. Then they travel to Buffalo to play the Rex Ryan led Bills. I really like their chances to win one of those two games.

If they do happen to fall to 0-14, they host the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Eve. I think they could get a Christmas miracle in the form of some beautiful Lake Erie blizzard weather that the southern California boys aren't ready or tough enough for to even the playing field. The Browns could win that game 7-0 or something in a not so pretty to watch episode.

They can beat Cincy without AJ Green. However, if they don't win on Sunday, they are likely going 0-16. Their last 3 games are all against teams who are within 1 game of the playoffs. It helps that San Diego has to travel to Cleveland, but Melvin Gordon could even the odds if the weather is bad. I do think this Browns team would beat the 0-16 Lions, but what a shit show that would be.

The Bills may technically be within one game of a wild card, but they have to pass four teams to get there - regardless they aren't a playoff caliber team. The Chargers are only better than four teams in the AFC right now. Both teams will likely be under .500 when they play Cleveland and be out of the playoff race legitimately. That would mean the Browns would be much more motivated to play a game to get one win and avoid being historically bad than just a subpar team that's just playing out the string of meaningless games at the end of the season.

I hope your are right for your fanbases sake, but if you lose to the Bengals, I wouldn't expect any other wins. Cincy is as close to a win as possible. They are playing awful and just lost their biggest weapon. San Diego is possible if the weather is rough, but if you have to hope for weather you are in a bad way.

^^^ I don't disagree with you about the hoping for weather thing, but then again if you are 0-12, you are in a bad way.

The only hope they have is against the Bengals. They are at home and coming off a bye.

If they don't win that game, then they are screwed. Chargers are a terrible match-up for them. They have to travel to the Bills and Steelers.
