Texans released Owen Daniels

Daniels was a fourth-round pick in 2006 and has played the entirety of his career with the Texans, making the Pro Bowl in 2008 and 2012. He played just five games last season, totaling 24 catches for 252 yards and three touchdowns.

Dammit Houston, no! You're supposed to collect former Badgers, not release them! Now they only have ONE former Badger tight end!

Browns have apparently taken a big step back. Not only will they be losing TJ Ward, but instead of replacing him with Jairus Byrd - which made all of the sense in the world - they are going to replace him with an over-the-hill safety that the NFL is trying to legislate out of the NFL in Donte Whitner. Also, apparently, the Ravens want to make a play for Alex Mack. Really annoyed right now.

They apparently are also interested in replacing DQ52 with Arthur Moats and signing or trading for Darrelle Revis.

Whitner is only 1 year older than Ward.

Yeah, but he has a long injury history and is also on the NFL's headhunting shit list. Safety position in the NFL today needs guys that intercept passes, not hit people.

Lions resign Joique Bell to 3 year $9 million Contract. $2 million cap hit this year. $1 million cap hit after that. Too much money. Underrated player, but is not worth that money. Also Suh is being a bitch about his contract extension stuff. Need to resign him to open up cap space. Personally I would trade him for a top 5 pick. Dude is a major headache.

Nobody's going to trade a top 5 pick for Suh. The Lions would have to throw in their first or second rounder as well most likely.

I know its a pipe dream, but I could see a team in the back half of the first round trade for him as a one year rental to try and make a Superbowl. If we renegotiate his contract he will be the highest paid player at his position and the Lions will have major money invested in 3 players.

We just saw Chancellor in the Super Bowl and your team has seen Ward since 2010. This isn't the case.

Also, Whitner was very good in coverage last season. His best season to date in that regard. Will he keep it up? I don't know and obviously he isn't as good as Ward or Byrd. But it would still be a solid signing and I reckon he is much cheaper than Ward/Byrd.

Multiple sources are reporting the Browns are strong contenders to land Revis though, so I wouldn't be overly upset yet.

Browns have also apparently emerged as the favorites to sign Karlos Dansby.

They're going after everyone!

Revis has been traded to the #Raiders for a 3rd round pick. Oakland will try to restructure a new contract to make Revis a Raider for life.

So wait 7 million a year was too much for a 30 yo DQ52 who was a leader in the locker room, but 6 mil for an even older and more over rated Karlos Dansby is a good move?

Can I ask why anyone would consider trading for Revis? I mean TB is likely to release him so just wait. And even on top of that, why bother with that constant drama, contract headache?

Karlos Dansby actually had an outstanding season last year and it is a sham he didn't get much recognition for it. In general, he is a much, much better player than Jackson (will all due respect to him). I do kind of agree it is a risky move, though. Dansby has shown in the past he is capable of going from a great year to nonexistent ala his years in Miami following a terrific '08 campaign in Arizona. It's a lot of guaranteed money so they better hope he doesn't decline.
