Who's going to be this year's pleasant surprise?

Which team will come out of relative obscurity to either make the playoffs or at least show huge strides of improvement?

I think the VIkings are probably a contender for this. They've got a QB, they're getting back a well-rested (yet aged) Adrian Peterson, their defense has drastically improved and ZImmer has proven himself to be a capable head coach.

The Vikings are my choice as well. I expect Bridgewater to improve on a good rookie year, Peterson returning, and Zimmer improving that defense. Zimmer is a great coach and it's just a matter of time before he had the Vikings near the top of that division perennially.

Minnesota is a good choice. With the Bears being trash and the Lions taking a step back, I could see the Vikings moving into a wild card spot. Really depends on how much Peterson is committed though. I also think the Rams will surprise. They have the best D-line in football and now have a healthy-ish QB in Foles. With the 49ers atrocious off season and Arizona still looking for a capable QB (no Palmer doesn't count at this point), I could see St. Louis making a move up the division. I could even seem them challenging Seattle. People need to also remember that St. Louis drafted Todd Gurley. Once he is healthy he is going to be a beast. Possible Offensive ROY if he plays early enough.

I also have this feeling. I mean just to be clear, Broncos fan so fuck the Raiders but they have been building and this could be a breakout year. I'm not just saying this because I have a large sum standing bet with a friend that the Raiders make the Playoffs this year or next year.

Pleasant surprise can mean a lot of things. If you are going to ask me which team is most likely to go from worst to first, then my pick is the Buccs. They added Jameis and they play in the NFC sLOLuth.

If we are just talking about which teams that didn't make the playoffs last year that are most likely to make the playoffs this year, I'd say it's either the Chargers or Texans in the AFC or the Vikings or Bucs in the NFC.
