Honestly, nothing fucks me off more in football than the 'Everton have no money' lie.

Some of their transfers since the 07/08 season: (Not including transfers of 5 million or less)

Lukaku - reportedly between 25 and 30 million
Maroune Fellaini - 15 million
James McCarthy - 13 million
Yakubu - 11.25 million
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov - 10 million
Steven Pienaar (8 million combined in recent seasons)
Arouna Kone - 6 million
Kevin Mirallas - 6 million

They've spent 4 million in this window, 23.5 million in the window before that, and 17.5 million before that one. In 09/10 they spent another 20 million, in 08/09 they spent 17 million, and in 07/08 spent 19.25 million.
