I don't know if Moyes really is a terrible manager but a lot of people have been saying that the players didn't perform for him because they didn't respect him. If that's the case, then it is pretty unprofessional of the players.

Moyes, in hindsight, shouldn't have been given the job. He was given the job, now it seems, because other options were not suitable (Mourinho) or were spoken for (Ancelotti-Pep) so Moyes was the only one left. United's players got complacent and Moyes got rid of the coaching staff and brought his uninspiring additions and the players having relaxed with SAF gone, weren't impressed by Moyes who didn't make his mark on the team quickly enough.

We should beat Norwich but we should also have beaten West Brom at home, Cardiff away, Southampton at home, Everton at home - but we didn't. I think after the doom and gloom of late, seeing a club legend take the job - temporarily - and produce four goals in a quick paced performance is what people are enjoying.

Moyes was given the job as he's Scottish and is mates with Fergie.

He was never the man for the job, his time at Everton is wildly overrated and he belongs at mid-table teams at best.

No, he was given the job because he was "cut from the same cloth" as Fergie lol.

He's got a £7m pay out so that will help ease his woes.

Also, thought I'd leave these here:

Huddersfield fans invade the pitch after their last home game of the season (despite losing the match to remain in 17th). Only to shit themselves and run off when the Leicester fans run at them. LOOOOOOL silly dog botherers :lol

The ref killed the game and any fight Norwich had yesterday. The disallowed goal and the soft as you like penalty just killed us. then after Rooney scored the second our heads just dropped which has been a problem all season. I will say I hated the Norwich fans singing Liverpool songs, even to get under the Man Unt fans skins. The Heysel incident cost Norwich years in Europe and we could be a completely different club today if it weren't for that. So fuck 'em.

^Erm...OK. So take it you wanting Tony Pulis to replace Lambert?

Wow, what a day. Jose does a complete number on Liverpool to add to his side's win over City at the Etihad. It was basic, simple strategy but they marshalled Liverpool's strike force perfectly. Suarez and everyone else was off colour and I can't really think Schwarzer had a massive save to make besides Joe Allen's second half effort.

Gerrard. Unfortunate but don't feel a massive amount of sympathy considering his assist to Drogba four years ago (and also his back-passes vs France in the Euros 2004 and vs. Arsenal couple of years before that) so he does seem to make a mistake in that crucial part of the pitch.

After that, Chelsea defended amazingly well and Liverpool couldn't break down or offer something new.

My brothers were upset but still in it. City were professional but not outstanding vs. Palace so Everton could still get a result but if Arsenal win tomorrow, their motivation for Saturday isn't going to be great.

Racist idiots throw a banana at Dani Alves - who responds by picking it up, peeling it and eating it before taking the corner. Brilliant by him.

I hate the amount of racism in Spanish football. Remember when England played Spain a few years back and the Spanish fans were doing monkey chants every time a black England player touched the ball?

Disgusting. To do it on the game after the death of Tito Vilanova. Spanish football is weak at tackling this issue; not bothered at all. When FIFA can't be strong on the issue then independent associations won't be arsed.

Also, could to see you mate @prophet Was beginning to wonder we'd seen the last of you.

My skin has thickened considerably today after the abuse I've gotten! The game was frustrating and Chelsea outclassed us and deserved the win in the end (though if Gerrard doesn't slip and gift them a goal I'm not so sure they'd have won the match). I'd rather not dwell on it though, we won 11 games on the bounce so we were bound to lose eventually. Just to be in this position of being bitterly disappointed at losing ground in the title race is something every Liverpool fan would've sucked a thousand dicks for at the start of the season so whether we win the title or we don't we've had a phenomenal season!

City have it in their hands with 3 matches to go and could possibly win the title on goal differential once again. Will be tough to close it out without any missteps at the rate this season is going, hoping for a strong final 3. Should be a cracking final 2 weeks regardless of the result, some amazing outcomes this season.

Giggs' own Dad attacking him;

Hilarious that United fans defend him so heroically.

^Boys, this obsession with Giggs is abit unhealthy. You sound like jilted lovers.

Again, have to add context to that "story". It's his father and Giggs stayed with his Mum after they split and took his mother's name so he's hardly going to be singing his praises and also he's probably upset Giggsy hasn't doled out money to him. Sour grapes but yeah, whatever.

Makes no difference to me in judging Giggs' ability in a footballing sense.

I think that's the Luis Suarez/John Terry and others syndrome. Sure they're good players, but they're cunts, and their fans still defend them. They help their team win games so they get a relatively "free" pass. If they weren't good assets then they'd be shat on by everybody, including their own team's fanbase.

True. Suarez, a year after his biting incident, wins the PFA Player of the Year; Terry has been outstanding in defence for Chelsea; Giggs has been an ever present in the last decade of success for Manchester United. When it comes to these sorts of players, ones who are consistent performers at the top level, then off field issues tend to fade away and it's only rival fans who make a big beef about it. I'll happily admit Suarez, despite his dubious past, has been phenomenal this season and it's shocking Terry didn't make the PFA team ahead of Kompany.

No doubt about it they are great players, I just hate when they get propped up as "idols" and "role models". In sports especially, if you're great on the field then what happens off it (or on it, in Suarez's case) means very little to most.

I agree that Terry should have made it over Kompany, this was an off season for him so I'm surprised he got on the team. All the flack DeMichelis gets he's played very well recently, where it's been Kompany who has made a few slip ups and mistakes.

Or it could be the fact the Giggs had been shagging his own brother's wife for 8 straight years but yeah, whatever.

I've never once called into question Giggs is footballing ability, nor has anyone for that matter, so I'm not quite sure why you've brought that up? We're merely pointing out that it's a joke Giggs isn't thrown into the same category of 'cunts' such as Suarez and Terry when his indiscretions are quite the bit worse than the others. Again, not that it's a competition.
