Figured I'd throw down the new thread so I'd have somewhere to mention, it's being reported that Kris Boyd is on his way back to Rangers. With both him and Kenny Miller back I'm pretty chuffed, they're getting on a bit but they're good players and I'm glad to see them back.

That's an okay signing, he'll canter around and try to get on the end of everything but unless he's improved over the last few years he's not much of a finisher.

Snodgrass off to Hull for between 7-8 million apparently. Gladly take that. We need to invest in a new centre back and attacking midfielder. We're not short on wingers with Redmond, Pilkington, Elliott Bennett, the Muprhy's etc.

I'd say our net spend has been lower over the years. United's money doesn't come from the deep pockets of a Sheikh but pretty much from commercial sponsorship and the very bare transfer sales.

Rumour is Arsenal have bid £25m for Sanchez. I'd probably mark out if we got him. Always liked him and he's been brilliant this world cup and apparently his preferred move would be to Arsenal. @PorkChop, What do you think of Roy Keane being appointed assistant manager?

I'm not a fan of his as he was a thug during his playing days, but it's probably a good appointment. He'd bring a no nonsense attitude to the dressing room which is needed at Villa.

Keane seems to be doing decent as an assistant but it's difficult to really tell in terms of results besides what the players say about him. I'd be interested to know whether his approach as a number two is different from the rucks he had with players at Sunderland and possibly to a degree at Ipswich. It seems he's offering a more calmer approach.

If it doesn't work out for him, I'd love to see him take the reins at Ipswich again. Thought he did a wonderful job there.

Supposedly when the next World Cup rolls around, FIFA are going to consider allowing a 4th sub in extra time. What do you lads reckon of that? I could see it being pretty beneficial.
