As many as 40 dead confirmed now. Fans are locked in the Stade de France as grenades were thrown at the stadium. 100 hostages reported at the concert hall.

Reports of dismembered bodies in the streets.

This is serious shit.

Moment an explosion was heard at the stadium, match continued

Thoughts with all in Paris at this moment, must be utterly terrifying. Now is not the time to be chatting shit (referring to news organisations already linking the refugee crisis to this incident) but reporting what's going on and helping for people affected to receive embassy support.

This is horrific by the hour - apparently hostages at the theatre are getting killed one by one and scarily, Martin Kelly (former LFC and now Palace player) sent an Instagram message at the cafe where the shootings have taken place.

Reported death toll is now 140. The footage is truly harrowing, thoughts are with those who were murdered and their loved ones, you don't go to a concert or for a meal in a restaurant and expect to be attacked like that. Something needs to be done to put an end to this :(

This sort of stuff will never end. It's a sad thing to say but it's true. Truly horrible situation for these people.

Jesus christ, can you imagine being in a crowded stadium/concert venue and hearing this shit happen, and having there be nowhere to go? That's worse than a nightmare scenario.

Absolutely awful situation, and so senseless, it's unfair.

When was the last terrorist attack of this magnitude in Europe? Was it the Metro bombings?

There was also an ISIS bomb in Beirut yesterday that killed 40 people. They are relentless and unforgiving cunts.

Death toll could reach further as besides the 127 confirmed, 80 people are critical in hospital.

But it seems these eight people were well trained, methodical and had been well planned. Frightening.

A peace vigil held at Trafalgar Square in London but hope Muslims (especially women who are the prominent targets for racist and prejudiced yobs) stay safe as IS don't care that it's the rest who suffer from their actions.

After the incident at the Stade de France, both France/Germany players had to wait until the early hours to leave the stadium and even then French players waited for the German players to go - reassuring to hear.

Definitely the vibe in France seems more sullen compared to the Charlie Hebdo shootings which was more defiant but natural I guess, this has shocked more deeply considering the locations targeted.

I knew work would be fun today. One guy has said that all Muslims are terrorists and one girl said all terrorists are Muslims.

I'm sick of those sorts of people, as well as the right wing "close the borders" cunts.

Do they not realize that their ignorant and bigoted sharing of this sort of bollocks is actively contributing to the problem, and exactly the sort of reaction the terrorists are trying to provoke with these attacks?

It was pointless trying to explain anything to them. The guy in question is exactly the sort you are thinking off. Think we should close the borders. Thinks the whole religion is to blame. Thinks everyone in that religion is the same. Thinks we should bomb all the Muslim countries.

He is the type of person who seems to think the word terrorist has become synonymous with Muslim. He couldn't comprehend that anyone from anyone could be a terrorist. He finally admitted that "maybe" not all Muslims are terrorists, but he backed it up by saying 99% of them were. These were his own words.

I just stopped talking to him about it.

^Maybe he should be reminded that the it was a Muslim at the Stade de France, a security guard, who noticed the attacker was wearing a suicide vest and prevented him from entering, which could have caused more deaths (it seems the two other bombers would have detonated had the first one done so in the stadium, to kill those people fleeing the aftermath of that); that it was an Algerian-Muslim's cafe who was attacked; one Muslim put his own life in danger to help the wounded at one the scenes but just the victims which include, sadly, diverse people. And a broader point of ISIS killing Muslims in Iraq/Syria

But even then, this guy would be steadfast in what he believes in.
