Yes, that's how this started.

So not quite the social apocalypse that the title suggests then.

While many states are moving forward, states like these are moving backward.
What the fuck, Indiana??
@Alpha Beast
Trust me, a large majority of Hoosiers(including me) called Gov. Pence and told him we are against it. GameCon will be leaving Indianapolis for good, and many other large events. Ashamed to say I live in a bully state.

I'm black, I've stated that a couple times. Born in Michigan, I live in Canada. Was raised a Catholic Christian...became an Atheist. I'd say I'm more of a Nihilist, if anything.
Daz wrote:The cake maker is actually a different story. This one is about the governor of Indianana passing a bill to make it legal for business owners to discriminate against homosexuals in the name of religious freedom.

Again correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the whole law being passed a result of the cake maker being sued for discrimination by said gay couple?
Ultimately they wanted to pass a law that would allow a business to decline service to any person based on the shop owners discretion regardless of gender, race, beliefs etc.
That sounds a bit different to the governor turning around and saying it's now lawful to stop serving gays because they're an abomination to our invisible sky wizard.

The cake thing was a whole other story that happened in, I want to say Colorado, unrelated to this one, other than the subject matter.
I do remember reading a story about that couple taking the cake shop to court though. Only in that instance, I believe the court said the cake shop couldn't discriminate against anyone and everyone should be treated equally and be free to eat and buy cakes should they bloody well desire. So it's the exact opposite of what's happening in Indiana.

@Chewy This whole issue came about when our governor signed a bill saying business owners have a right to discriminate against ANYONE, not just gays.
The cake maker story is new to me unless you were referring to the pizza parlor that closed down due to death threats from 'christians" for not catering a gay wedding. However after they closed, the LGBT community, a small portion of it, actually donated money to bring them back into business. This whole thing is getting out of hand though.
