Do not feel as if you're forced to continue the tired old argument that the reason we're such a colossal fuck up in 2015 is because of things that happened generations ago.

Except that this argument is extremely legitimate and you've yet to present any evidence to indicate your apparent belief that there's no historical context for why there continues to be such race inequality in America.

If you really believe that, then the burden of proof is on you. Because there's overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

The struggles poor black people face in America today aren't anything new. It's a continuation of the same struggles they've faced since they were suddenly freed and left to fend for themselves in a world where a large percentage of their fellow citizens still hated the very sight of them, after a constitutional amendment had to be made to clarify they were not pieces of property to be bought and sold.

As I said, I was born in the early 90's.

I think I'm confused on what you are saying. I disagree with you generalizing blacks and saying we have no idea of consequence. But yes, single family homes are prevalent in the black community and low income households are a case with many.

Usually there's a passive single mother who can't really hold him down. It's what I've seen. I know that not every black family is like that.

I get what you're saying. Really, I do. I agree with some of what you are saying. But again like I said, some people just don't have the opportunity to move up in the world. Like what you said above, social environment plays a huge role in it. In how you behave, in how you see the world, etc. That doesn't mean someone should blame that on their criminal actions or that it excuses it. It just explains it.
