Just got WWE Network - Suggest some good PPVs

Postby RatedRBowler » May 04, '14, 2:27 pm

As the title says, I just got WWE Network and I'd like to go back and watch a bunch of old PPVs. I'd appreciate it if you folks could list off some of your favorites and give me an idea of where to start. It can be anything, I don't care. Old, modern, WWE, WCW, etc. I don't have much rep to give out but I appreciate it nonetheless!

One of my favorites was Survivor Series 2002. The first ever elimination chamber, and 5 (I think) title matches were on the card. Great show, and it had a hot MSG crowd behind it.

Summerslam 2002 always comes to mind, as it was loaded with quality one-on-one matches. The Rock v. Brock Lesnar (Lesnar's first title win), Triple H v. Shawn Michaels (Shawn's first match in over four years), Kurt Angle v. Rey Mysterio (before Rey had 75 knee surgeries), Rob Van Dam v. Chris Benoit (one of my favorite RVD matches that took place in a WWE ring), Eddie Guerrero v. Edge (solid, fast-paced match).

I may be missing one or two more, but these five matches alone make it a very solid PPV overall.

Summerslam 2000 is a great PPV.

TLC I, Shane McMahon vs Steve Blackman (when he took that drop), Jericho/Benoit 2/3 falls, Rock/Angle/Triple H.

Would recommend!

Man I always think you can't get more weird and then you say something else :lol

The image of Viazon and his equally odd mates all sat outside the supermarket eating chicken together in the car is too much :lol

One of my favourite PPVs was Fully Loaded 2000, I remember it was always one of the videotapes I would go back and re- watch. I'm sure it was billed as a triple main event: The Undertaker Vs Kurt Angle, Triple H Vs Chris Jericho in a last man standing match and then The Rock Vs Chris Benoit.

^Funny, I was about to edit my post and add Canadian Stampede. Easily the most perfectly well rounded WWF PPV ever.

Survivor Series 1991 -> Tuesday in Texas -> Royal Rumble 1992 -> WrestleMania 8 -> SummerSlam 1992 is a fun little journey too.

Great shout. That's what I couldn't remember -- NWO 2001.

Great Triple Threat Tag Team Table match, fun hardcore match, HHH/Austin 3 stages of hell, fantastic IC title fatal-4-way match, and a solid Rock/Angle main event.

Plus it has Right to Censor on it. Worth it alone.
