its official, I have lost my interest in TNA.

I have been holding on to the idea that TNA was just going threw a bad spell right now and things would start getting better and start to improve. WWE, WCW, ECW and even TNA in the past all had slumps in storylines and entertainment value but always bounced back to catch viewers attention again.

TNA has done nothing but progressively get worse and worse. I hate to say this, but at least when hogan was around and Dixie's dumb ass was just writing checks the show was doing good. Hell, I remember people commenting on how impact was a better quality show to watch than SD and even Raw on occasions.

What the fuck is going on over there? What has changed so drastically to cause such a huge difference over just a year?
I know a couple things that are killing it for me right now.
1) The whole aj styles thing. I understand that people leave and that does not bother me, its the whole constant misuse of him that pissed me off. And the fact that they would not even attempt to negotiate a deal with him but guys like Jeff hardy and bully ray are most likely makeing equal or higher than him because they came from wwe.

2) Get Dixie off the fucking show! Having her run it is like having, ERM, uhhh, its so fucking bad there is no equal comparison.

3) why the fuck are they still dicking around with the Joseph park storyline? This has got to be the longest storyline in history of televised wrestling and it could have been over effectively after 2-3 months.

Uggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh my head hurts.
Feel free to add to this rant if you want. I would love to see other thoughts from people who have given TNA an honest chance over the years

How the hell are they booking Abyss as the Television Champion and still having him in there? Because we're all smart enough to know they're not brothers. I just don't understand. I haven't watched TNA since before I stopped watching WWE.

I haven't been this down in TNA in years. I feel like if I sit down and watch a show it's probably going to be entertaining for the most part, but I really have no interest anymore because so many things are falling apart/are mishandled. Magnus as champ does nothing for me, Dixie is terrible, Bad Influences are jobbing, Styles got fucked over completely and he's leaving along with Hardy. Austin Aries is nowhere to be seen.

I hope this is one of those low points and things pick up again in a couple of months. I'll take a break and come back after Wrestlemania season with some enthusiasm, and hopefully then I'll be able to get back into it.

Just the overall booking / feel of the show has been crap. Even guys like bully, James storm and sting who normally have some sorta impact to each show have been dwindled down to nothing. Yet guys like ec3, spud and parks are getting pushed like crazy.
Now I am not complaining about new talent being pushed but it has to be balenced with veteren showings also. Could you imagine raw if hhh, cena, Orton, show, punk, bryan, shield ect... all got put on the backburner for the Wyatt's, tensia, clay and Maddox to be headlining the show every week?

TNA needs help now more than ever

Apart from necessary budget cuts that had the company frazzled and caused them to make some pretty bad decisions creatively just to save a few dollars, Bruce Prichard leaving as head of creative was a huge blow. He never gets much credit, but TNA was pretty great throughout 2012. It was still entertaining throughout the first half of 2013, with Bully's heel turn being one of the best moments in the history of the company. This continued into Slammiversary, which was one of the best pay per views I've seen in years.

Then Prichard was released as part of the budget cuts and things went downhill very rapidly. So it doesn't seem to be a coincidence. There were other factors, of course. But I think there have been a lot of people involved in TNA's creative process that can't tell their arse from their elbow and Prichard in comparison was a steady hand that could always execute the basics at the very least.

I stopped watching it recently. I intend to come back to it in another few months to see if things have picked up, but to be honest it's not looking good right now. I think they need a new voice of reason to get things back on track. The crew that they have at the moment clearly aren't capable of handling the show alone.

The Park thing is a prime example. How they have managed to drag that story out for so long is beyond me. We all knew Abyss and Joseph Park was the same person this whole time, yet they decided to turn it into a twist and then drag it out over a year. They've had wrestlers slowly and tediously investigating the mystery when it was completely obvious from day one. The angle has been botched so badly that it defies belief.

I don't follow TNA news that often but is Hardy really leaving? Or is it just a storyline? Granted I rarely watch TNA but every time Dixie Carter comes on screen I have to change the channel. she's just awful.

He's barred from entering the UK and as they tape a months worth of TV over here they have to write Hardy off the show for a period of time so he was always going to be off the screen at some point. Whether or not he's actually leaving - it'd make sense for him to jump from what I consider to be a sinking ship.

The bad spell started in 2002 and has continued to this day.

Okay, to be fair it started in 2006.

2012 was actually a really good year for the company. I was skeptical for some time when I started to hear that it had improved a lot, but I finally gave it a chance so I'd have some wrestling to watch again and was pleased. I think Roode v Aries was the first pay per view main event I saw at that point, so that didn't hurt. Which is why it's so annoying that they're dragging the bottom of the barrel again.

The problem with TNA is that it's never been able to build up any consistency or momentum. And every time it starts to improve, people are going to be more and more skeptical that anything will really come of it.

You are right, at this point every time something starts to get good TNA is gonna miss out on the fans cause we all are gonna wait until people start raveing again and by that time it will be over.
If they could go for a couple years without making any major changes backstage they would most likely improve a lot (depending on who is there to begin with). Every time they make changes the company looses all direction and just falls flat

Yeah I've been really really struggling to maintain interest in it and was at the point of giving up, but my mate recently won free tickets to the tapings over here and has given me one, so I'm going to try and stay with it until at least the end of next month.

It's just so frustrating to see some of the most talented wrestlers (bad influence, Aries, AJ, etc) in the world wasted with bad booking and awful Dixie acting

Haha, unfortunately yes :jerk

They have slowly evolved it were in the last couple weeks EY is trying to convince him that he is Abyss
It is by far the longest story in TNA's history and could be a top 5 in length for televised wrestling in general.

2012 was actually a really good year for the company.

I gotta admit, I just went online recently and watched Joe vs. Aries from Slammiversary 2012 and it kicked some serious ass. Granted, it just referenced matches they had between each other in ROH and didn't top any of their ROH matches, but for TNA it was damn good.

That's probably the only 2012 TNA match I've seen, so by that standard, TNA was fucking awesome that year.

It's just a matter of, like it's always been, if you want a great wrestling product, why not watch ROH? and if you want a mainstream product, why not watch WWE? TNA doesn't bring anything to the table that's better than ROH in-ring, or better than WWE uhh, bigness-wise (apparently is a word), so it's like, caught in the middle. Like a wind jammer.

Besides, TNA sucks [/blindhate]
