All or Nothing – More teasing of this secret. Sears TOTALLY used to be a woman, right? It’s a shame Cia has seemingly disappeared, as this angle was really hot to start off with. But now the addition of the stipulation that Hess will reveal the secret if he wins would seem to indicate that it’s pretty obvious Hess is the victor.

Pretty good promo from Miller here reminding us of the stakes of his match against Daz. At this point, the match just needs to happen. The main event should serve as a nice preview.

Logan/Reece – Bishop is pretty great. I dunno about holding him off of the show, but the goal for the match here was to build up Reece as a legit wrestler and I think that was accomplished. John, hope I did him justice. As for the postmatch… well, we’ll find out once and for all at Genocide what the truth of Andrew Logan’s motivations is.

Looking forward to whatever happens with this Doomsday clock. Seems we’re about to see the debut of Aaron Reed, or at least that’s what I’d presume.

Game on – Lmao, the Mega Superpowers colliding with the Comeaus can only lead to greatness. The match accomplished its purpose, the real important stuff here was the establishment of the “family vs. family” story for the pre-show at Genocide. We know that the Comeaus are a well oiled machine, but we don’t know as much about the Zanettis yet. And come on Renzo… “Xbox points?” :P

Really good segment here with Daz, even having Burke apparently not believing in him any more is a great way to sell Daz as being in over his head. This is all very much leading up to a Daz victory at Genocide, or so it would seem. Having Miller go over twice in a row would be absolutely huge.

Bernard vs. Kyle – Oh yeah, I’d forgotten that Dan Morrison was now with Bernard! And I definitely didn’t expect Bernard to pick up the victory here. This is probably the strongest the character has looked to date. We’ll see how he comes off when he’s in an actual feud, of course. Kyle needs a pick me up for sure. After a strong start to his return against Jay Cruz, he’s floundered a bit in the Zanetti storyline. I’m sure we’ll see some more progression with him at Genocide.

Lmao, I love that Melissa Chambers is so incensed about being told her nose isn’t real that she wants to fight the J-Team :lol After all this time, that’s the thing that gets her to snap to the point where she wants to fight a man. Nice Hurricane reference ;). I was actually kind of hoping we’d get a match starting off with Chambers actually being one of the competitors, but this works, haha. Definitely big for J-Team that BJ was able to steal a victory here.

I wonder who Knight’s opponent for Genocide (probably the pre-show?) will be. Interesting stuff. Ace, perhaps? Maybe the debuting Aaron Reed? Whatever happens, I’d say it’s pretty certain that Knight won’t be around much longer.

I dig the tension building between Valentino and Kyle. They’re a natural pair to put together, and they’re going in very different directions right now. Not sure if this is going to lead to a feud or if it’s just building to something happening at the wedding, but it makes a lot of sense and I think it’d be good for both characters, especially considering Valentino’s feuds so far have been all about him desperately trying to achieve happiness, whereas this one wouldn’t have him in the desperate underdog role. Bit of a role reversal.

Still not entirely sure about the point of having Evelyn Quinn around, unless it’s building to something major happening at Genocide. Wouldn’t be the first time Spencer Miller’s stolen someone’s woman…

As for the main event, pretty much everything you could ask for heading into a big pay per view. Glad I was able to take part in this one, hope you guys enjoy it.

Cavanah’s Corner… been looking forward to this! Interesting that Foster and Cavanah have seemingly had relatively little screen time in the lead up to Genocide… I guess that prevents against overexposure.

Love the applause sign, hahaha. The crack on the Buck… brilliant, classic Cavanah. Then the fake Mafia… LOL @ Shane Evans carrying Nick Foster on his back :lol. And the over the top British speak… lmfao. This is fantastic. So many burns… Miller’s mystery associate, Daniel Blackrose… bahahahah. Evans is gonna go off!!!! I can tell Kaiser enjoyed this one :P. Pretty standard stuff with the brawl to end the show, and really like with so many of these other feuds, there’s only so much left to do before you actually have the match and get everything settled. Can’t wait to see what you guys do for Jailbreak.

Genocide is the next show, awwww shucky ducky quack quack!!!

^I didn't read all of the show yet but I'm pretty sure Knight is facing Barry unless I misread that segment . :P

All or Nothing – I thought Matt & Onyx were heels? Regardless, , I really hope this secret is really good 'cause I have a feeling that Amos is going to tell whether he wins or loses at Genocide.

I Quit – Miller is at the obsession stage of wanting to put an end to Daz. Miller needs this win for himself as he thinks Daz's career isn't going to last very long while his is going to thrive on for a long while.

Logan vs Reece - “Phony Logan” “The Man who Killed Wrestling” that gave me a slight chuckle, leave it to Orion to gain as much spotlight as he can even when not at the arena. Did like the commentary about Palace of Manliness and then Alex saying more like a studio apartment. High pace, high energy matchup between the two of them which Reece probably doing more harm than good before his match with Bishop. Logan, still believe that he's putting on a front and maybe Genocide is where he shows his true intentions.

Immenent Collision – Andrew's manipulations continue to work on Reece who stops Evans from beating Logan into a fine powder.

Doomsday Prophecy – Looks like Aaron Reed will make his debut at Genocide and wonder who he'll target.

Game On – I like the Mario references, I think if Calvin and Carter continued I thought they were gonna compare the Zanettis to The Mario Bros. TMS wanting a match at the pre-show with the Zanettis wouldn't have worked out well for them.

TBC vs TMS – This is the first time ever I had to write commentary, which IMO is the hardest thing you can write. So I really hope that I was able to amp up the match for TBC and The Family at the pre-show. Apparently superpowers just aren't working for Sato and The Master right now lol.

The Good Guy – Maybe I'm reaching a little bit on this prediction but I'm thinking maybe Burke and Miller are working together with banning him from the building last week and now saying that he should leave the Spencer Miller's alone. Time will tell.

Bernard vs Kyle – With this match I wanted to make Kyle a little bit more aggressive and on edge in the ring and at a point where he's tired of people interfering when Dan Morrison got himself involved in the match. So hopefully all of that came off in this match.

Hell Hath No Fury – Melissa highly enraged over having her looks talked about lol, really good promo from Melissa leading into a match...

BJ vs Brody – Washington able to steal a win by grabbing the tights of Dean in what was a good competitive match between the two so should be a really good match for those titles at Genocide. The tag division has always been a rather interesting division.

Odd Man Out - Amos is so evil, I love it making a match between Knight and Barry. I just have a feeling that Knight is just on his way out of the flock and out the door. What I do like about this story is how Barry is standing out as a character.

Breaking Point – HL suggested that Dylan should open up a little bit to Valentino which I thought was a good idea to move the story along between these two and show that the Dylan in WCSF was Roxanne's image of what Dylan should be in order to succeed in wrestling. While telling this to him Gia just interrupts as she's not interested since she has a wedding to plan.

The Triumvirate - I'm surprised that Magnum lets Zaid get away with calling him Maggie so far. The whole conversation between Miller, Zaid, and Phillips made me think that they won't be cohesive because they have such big egos and their own agenda.

Sealed Lips – I'm trying to figure out Miss Evelyn and what she's about besides Daz's girlfriend and trying to calm him down. So hopefully at Genocide or the Onslaught after Genocide we finally get to know Evelyn Quinn and her stance on the whole thing. Makes me wonder since she really doesn't want Daz to be in the I Quit match, does she want Daz to continue on with his wrestling career or give it up?

Main Event – Well no winners in this one ending in a no contest and all six men brawling, which I'm glad to see that there were no winners which leaves it pretty open as to who is going to win their respective matchest at Genocide.

Cavanah's Corner – Oh Kaiser already with the cheap shot on The Buck and basically giving cheap shots at some of the roster throughout the whole talk show. Impersonating Foster to be some dumbass with comprehension problems was funny.

Things I liked:

- The six-man tag, it was awesome. I had a ton of fun reading that. All six characters got to shine. Without a doubt my favorite Onslaught match so far, so great job gang.

- Reece/Logan was also very good, as was the post-match. Logan was badass.

- Melissa Chambers was gold.

- Poor Dan Morrison, getting decked by Kyle. Welcome to the jungle!

- Loved the Miller/Zaid/Magnum segment. Can't go wrong with these three interacting.

- "I've heard you were fond of a good time in the past, if you catch my drift." Hehehehe.

- Yes, I did enjoy writing that segment. I certainly did. I just hope nobody got offended.

That's all from me, for now. It's not much but I figure it's better than nothing.

Onslaught 14

All or Nothing – Again, good rotation of the opening segment, given Hess and Sears the spotlight this week. Gotta give credit to those filling in for saucernips and doing a great job portraying Sears in a positive light. Good little promo for Jaden, continuing to tease the revelation of the secret. The deal is Hess toying with Sears, as one way or another, that secret is coming out at the PPV. I’m on the booking team, I know these things.

I Quit – The Daz/Miller beat downs have been top notch and this is where SKS really had to bring it with his promo. I think he did that here. Mixing the ruthless nature he’s taken on as part of the Assassin gimmick, whilst mixing in part of his old smugness. Loved the “bad guy” line at the end, referencing Daz’s “good guy” line later on. Whilst Daz is trying to convince himself he’s still the good guy despite the fine line he’s walking, Miller in contrast is happy to embrace his bad guy status. Really strong stuff.

Andrew Logan vs. Gabriel Reece – Bishop’s pre-match promo was gold. He’s such a ridiculous character. I’d love for Bishop to feud with Melissa Chambers somehow cause the promos would be amazing. Also ties into his recent feud with Reece and recent interaction with Logan, so I dug the continuity. Bishop got to look phenomenal against Evans last week, I hope for a similar deal with Reece and Logan. Who does Reece think he is, thieving Dean Brody’s tightrope walking gimmick? “You can go ahead and remove your lips from his hindquarters,” lol. Good psychology by Logan, targeting the leg to prevent Reece from utilizing the high flying. Good commentary line pointing out that Logan is fighting fairly. Liked the finish, with Reece avoiding the Silver Soon and Logan resorting to taking a page out of Reece’s book, landing on his feet on the corkscrew before hitting thr Millennial. This didn’t try to do too much, but really nailed what it set out to do. Great little opener.

Imminent Collision – Evans attack continued to raise some questions regarding Logan. I like that Reece went to bat for Andrew after the competitive match and sportsmanship shown, making Evans appear in the wrong. This was more cut and dry that some of the Logan segments, painting Andrew in a positive light.

Doomsday Prophecy – Digging these little promos, and the faded out clock to end it was a good little tease. Really like the way it was laid out, nice, short and to the point. Looking forward to seeing Doom debut.

Game On - The promo from The Comeau’s responding to the Zanetti family was typically fun. Surely an evil Italian stereotype would be Wario … just saying. The Master’s interruption was unexpected and I like that he’s desperate to even get on the pre-show, leading to the following match…

Comeau Brothers vs. Mega Superpowers – Zanetti’s on commentary is a good way to help put their characters across all the more. I think they overwhelmed the match a little, and there was a little too much talk for my taste, not enough action. It felt like when WWE does guest commentators and the cameras spend half the time focused on the desk, instead of following the action. Again, I think a little will go a long way when it comes to Renzo and Mikaleh. They’re two badass dudes with the Mafioso overtones. I don’t think you need them running their mouth when they can let their fists (and baseball bats) do the talking for them.

The Good Guy – This was another segment used to demonstrate how fragile Daz is not just physically but psychologically at this point.

Drake Bernard vs. Dylan Kyle – I half hope Dylan doesn’t show up so Bernard can get another dodgy win. Dan Morrison is the strangest return of a character from WCSF but I’m not totally against it. I really liked Dylan’s aggressive start after recent frustrations. Good relating of Bernard’s stomps back to the those of the Zanetti family. Dan Morrison wasting no time getting acquainted with the stars of PCW, getting a smack in the mouth from Dylan Kyle. Bernard was good in control and I liked the intensity of his offense. Kyle works better as a character, fighting from underneath. Great finish with Dylan making a comeback only to springboard straight into the JDA. A very solid win for Bernard in his toughest test and the downward spiral of Dylan Kyle continues. I don’t foresee him reacting well.

Hell Hath No Fury – Oh Melissa. I must admit, it’s been a struggle trying to fit her into the NRC dynamic, because it is different to that of T.C’s. She was the primary talker there, but with NRC, Adrian Dale has certainly carried the bulk of it, and Brody too I’ve given more dialogue too, just to give him more of a personality in creating that veteran/rookie relationship. So this was fun, getting to write Melissa running her mouth and being a little crazy.

BJ Washington vs. Dean Brody – I really liked this match. It’s probably the most competitive BJ Washington has been since joining the PCW Roster and it was my intent to make him and Double J appeared like a threat to the tag titles. A little psychology with the working over of Brody’s ribs, but not overly so. It was a very spotty match, so it was important to throw a little bit in there. BJ, managing to out cheat Brody despite Dean’s assurance he wouldn’t be able to, made for a good finish I thought, and I was happy with how this came out. See, I can keep matches under ten pages.

Odd Man Out – Really liked this segment with Hess. Comparing Knight to Sears is a way to bring the storylines together and of course, Barry will be a tough test for Knight. With Sean’s writer having disappeared a while ago, I can’t foresee Knight picking up the victory and I imagine that means he’s excommunicated from the Disciples. My question is, where does that leave them? #Will they be on the lookout for a new third man? Or woman perhaps…

Breaking Point – I think throwing Johnny V and Dylan Kyle together is a clever move. They characters with a lot of similar traits and the contrast between Dylan’s broken relationship and Johnny V. and Gia on a high with theirs makes for a very cool dynamic. Also what I liked about how both characters were portrayed in this segment, is that neither is in the wrong, so there’s no good guy or bad guy. I’m not sure about the line regarding the partying and whatnot being all Roxanne. It might be a way to retcon Dylan Kyle a little which I don’t think needs to be done. You’ve got a natural story to move Dylan way from that flashier stuff and be a little more gritty and aggressive, use it.

The Triumvirate – I love that Zaid calls Magnum “Maggie”. I’m starting to think Mags might have a soft spot for Zaid, because he wouldn’t let anyone else get away with calling him that. “Miller-Lite,” tremendous. Miller coming in to unite the trio their mutual dislike of their three opponents was great and the ending really made me chuckle. This was a really fun little segment, bringing these three together.

Sealed Lips – Again, Evelyn being kept quiet. Hypeman is having no luck at all.

Daz /#CWC vs. Miller/Magnum/Zaid – I really, really liked the way this match came together. I’m a little bias cause this was the first big Onslaught Main Event that I suggested as part of the booking team and I was glad to see it come to fruition. I thought everyone came off really well throughout. Zaid in particular got to really shine. Miller was a thorn in Daz’s side, which is exactly what he should have been. I thought I sold Gryphon a little short in the parts I wrote, as it was mostly Omega in the ring during that portion, but others picked up the slack. The post-match brawl was pretty wild. Miller clocking Daz with the Lone Star title was cool and Miller adding the Koji Clutch to his arsenal adds a new layer to his arsenal that perhaps wasn’t there before. The close to this segment with him torturing Daz with the hold helps put it over in a big way and Daz may be in trouble come Genocide. Should be good. Really good segment.

Cavanah’s Corner – The applause sign is amazing. Then make like The Buck and get lost!” LOL. I lost it when Johnny Devine was announced as being present via satellite. Foster’s dialogue … I can’t do it justice. “I was eating scallops” … Jesus. “I haven’t been his disappointed since Spencer Miller’s mystery associate was revealed.” This is like the most meta promo of all time. DANIEL BLACKROSE REFERENCE! EVANS IS ABOUT TO GO OFF! Rodney Redneck … oh my god, this is gold. Foster coming out to tear through the fake Mafia was great. Everything about this was good. Kaiser clearly had fun writing it. The character is such a dick but you can’t help but love him. Really good closing segment before the PPV.

Re: PCW Onslaught Episode 14 RESULTS!

Postby Str8Shooter » Sep 06, '14, 8:37 pm

Finally managed to give this show a quick through. I figured I should probably read the "go home" show before the PPV actually goes up :lol

I'm really wondering what this secret of Sears' is. It must be some kind of awful if the guy is breaking down in tears in front of a full crowd and his girl on television to stop it from getting out. Sadly, with saucernips MIA, this kind of leaves you cold now as you know it probably isn't leading to anything.

Some good little promo work from SKS here hyping up the I Quit match. I liked the part about him not getting the satisfaction from Flash giving up, now he has to heard the words.

Reece vs Logan was a fun little match with two "babyfaces". The post match was interesting to read as I had no hand in the Evans part. They killed it though, Evans looks more like a psycho every week! That damn Logan getting the last laugh!

I enjoy the lighhearted antics of The Comeaus and Mega Superpowers. There's enough dark and edgy stuff that this is always a breath of fresh air.

Looks like a Dylan Kyle heel turn coming. It kind of seems out of left field to me though, he lost his girl yeah, and got beat down, but that whole program feels like it was blown through too fast, now they're on to other things when you'd think that would have lead to a big feud.

Gia is definitely a Bridezilla! Funny how all wrestling weddings happen really fast so as to get them on TV as soon as possible!

I liked the three heels promo. It was fun to see them take shots at each other, clearly these are three men that don't play well with others.

I'd like to hear more from Evelyn, the fact she's around at all is intriguing, and we still don't fully know what's driving her. I will say I'll predict that she will be involved in the "I Quit" match somehow. I'll go really out there and say that she ends up throwing in the towel, ala Helen Hart, to cause Daz to lose.

Always fun to see six man tags! A No Contest seemed like a fitting end actually as I'm sure none of these guys really should have been taking a loss this close to the PPV. The post match brawl was a fun, chaotic brawl that came across well. Daz once again getting his ass kicked. Opposite Momentum Rule would suggest that Daz gets the win at Genocide after this, but I have a feeling he doesn't.

The Final Segment was fantastic in every way possible. Kaiser was at the top of his game here and was spouting off one hilarious one liner after another here, legit smiles and laugh out louds from me. Evans title reign was "shorter than Kid Spartans PCW Career" :lol . And Foster being unintelligible, so many inside PTF jokes too, scallops and scollops! Kaiser gave off a "Heel Rock" vibe throughout this, where he's a douchebag heel but so entertaining that you know the crowd loves every second he's out there.

Great show leading into what should be a doozy of a PPV! :tim
