PCW "Signature" match

Postby Str8Shooter » Mar 11, '14, 2:40 pm

So PCW had success with the Escalation match, which will hopefully become an annual thing.

So what other match ideas should there be? WCSF had the Dome of Doom, battlefield Tournament, Gold Rush Ladder Match. PCW needs a match to call it's own.

I think a World Cup style PPV or tournament would be a lot of fun.

It's the Escalation match. I've never seen one before but you writers all did a great job with it.

I would also say the Escalation match is the "signature" of PCW. However, a King of the Ring type tournament would be sick.

I think that would be too similar to the Battlefield tournament though.

I still think a War Games style match would be awesome. I know when we were mods we were strongly contemplating one for Annihilation consisting of a mixture of faces and heels on both teams. The winning team was then gonna then face off against one another at the following PPV to determine who would face the champion at Revolution if I remember right. It would have been interesting to see how that one played out!

I will say right now if it comes down to a tie between the other mods and it is up to me there will NEVER be a War Games match :lol I hated the WCW War Games

I think one concept that WCSF never really explored that would be interesting to do would be some sort of boiler room/locker room brawl type of match. It would be interesting for me. The other concept you could go with is a signature that is more pure wrestling based. I'm thinking a submission match of some kind or maybe an iron man match (I hear the writers of previous iron man matches really liked it :lol ). You already have a prime candidate for the first three iron man matches. 1. When Neo Runway Chic breaks apart. 2. Daz vs one member of Neo Runway. 3. Daz vs the other member. :P (Sorry couldn't resist).

Go ahead, provoke me, I'll write a hundred page iron man match with only one fall in the entire thing.

A "World Cup" type thing sounds good in theory. But wouldn't it just be US vs UK vs Canada? I'm not sure there are any other characters from anywhere else in the World. Not sure it's as appealing with just 3 regions represented.

Also count me in for a WarGames type match. That's now 2 sets of previous Mods who were trying to find a way to fit that match in and couldn't get it done. It needs to happen in PCW. And I need to be in it :P

Shocked that Shaneo doesn't like the idea.

I'd totally be down to write war games, I just never wanted to be the one to book it :lol Same with the Royal Rumble/Escalation concept, really.

Haha for the record there's mileage in a Disciples/Catwalk feud. Not sure Amos Hess will take too kindly to #GFW!
