Well I've finished the Escalation match and a little bit of the other stuff. Hopefully by Thursday I"ll have finished the whole show and will have comments up. But so far... let's just say things didn't go the way I expected them to go :lol

Alrighty, let's get some comments up on this monster. *Just so you all know, I spent almost 2 fucking hours typing comments only for the site to tell me my request had timed out when I pressed submit, so by the time I get these done it'll have taken me pretty much 4 hours*

Knightfall/Diciples Match - First and foremost I'll say that Gryphon Richard is beginning to remind me of Rene Dupree. It's still so weird to see Knight alongside Hess, answering on his behalf. I didn't like Amos' D-Von impression 'Testify my brother! Testify! but on the whole Knight's content was spot on. It was a clever move aligning Knight with Hess. It just shows that Amos can brainwash just about anyone.

Is Omega a full-time wrestler again now? He has an aggressive, physical style that only a few men in the fed have. I don't know whether it's intentional (I'll assume it is) but Gryphon does have a very similar way in the ring as his mentor. This was a shorter match than I anticipated but with the main-event to handle that can be forgiven. Theodore Barry had a good showing in this match, dictating most of it. The ending was a little...meh - without trying to sound negative. I know it happens in wrestling all the time but I just wasn't a fan of Omega releasing the leg because he saw Hess on the apron. I'm not a fan of this in real life though so it's not a slight on any of the writers - if you were pinning someone and saw Hess on the apron wouldn't you win the match and then go after Hess? Nonetheless it was a necessary move that enabled the Disciples to get the big win which I was happy about. I was worried that they'd lose every match that didn't involve Hess.

Escalating Frustrations - Man, looks like Zaid has really gotten under Johnny V's skin. Short and sweet little segment that did it's job of hinting towards Valentino's mental instability ahead of the big title match.

Comeaus vs Catwalk - It just wouldn't be one of my set of comments if I didn't again mention how much I applaud you for the 'God's Favourite Wrestler' thing. Dale is one of those characters that would get an abnormally large amount of heat compared to his current position on the roster. Opting to wear different attire to his team-mates just shows how much of an arrogant little bell-end he is. Daz is great at little characterisation like that - Dale putting his hands behind his head and over-enjoying Chambers' touch is so seedy but on the other hand I imagine this would classify him as a 'LAD'. 'Not the face!' - classic Chambers.

I'd just like to point out something to Ali - no matter how much you try make me I simply refuse to picture the Comeau's as the photo's you posted as them in their bio page. I picture them as like... a less-gangster version of Cryme Tyme. The shift in dynamic is clear to see when the Comeau's are of the offensive and in control compared to Catwalk although I really enjoyed it when Brody came into the ring and he began to direct traffic. It's a stark contrast from GFW. I mention this after every show too but I still really dig the 'Achievement Unlocked' thing that TBC have, it's something unique that's never been done before and it serves as a much needed break-up from the wall of text. I wasn't too surprised to see The Brother's Comeau pick up the first win but I was shocked to see that it was Dale that took the pin-fall. I can see TBC winning the first two or even three to be honest but eventually Catwalk will get on the same page and when that happens it'll be curtains for whomever is in the way.

Doctor's Orders - The more opportunities I get to write segments the more I feel I'm improving. Hopefully you guys agree and I'm always welcome to some advice if anyone feels like they need to offer some!

Right onto the main event, I'm going to try do something different with this match and probably won't comment on every single character involved in the match so I apologise for that in advance. Let me know if you'd like me to comment on anything I miss!

The Escalation Match

Favourite Moments

- Kaiser's elimination. This was HUGE. It happened so shockingly early in the match too, Kaiser was the 3rd man to be eliminated and you could really picture it being one of those truly shocking moments that makes the crowd erupt. The character of Kaiser Cavanah has really evolved from that 'cool heel' into an arrogant, obnoxious prick that's just so very easy to despise. I'd like to point out too that Ryan Haynes had Cavanah's number yet again and I'd love for them to acknowledge this on the next despite how the night ended. Kaiser hasn't been able to get one over on Haynes and it was awesome to see him, arrogant as he is, fall to this rookie yet again. Don't be surprised to see Haynes sneak into the title scene at the next PPV.

- New character's continuing to impress. Magnum Phillips had a good showing following on from his impressive start to his PCW career. It was also good to see Brett back and writing for Orion Bishop for what I believe is the first time? Bishop eliminating Magnum was great and it was quality to see the cocky newcomer get a slap in the face on a big stage. Looking forward to seeing these two continue to build a feud, Tim and Brett are like an old-married couple anyway so they should write a good match. Zaid and Valentino managed to slug it out for a bit towards the back end of the match and it's good for those two characters to interact with some of the veterans of the company. Even fucking Drake Bernard had arguably the two most hilarious parts of the match and his writer hasn't been online since November last year! :lol

- Amos Hess. Just like in general he was my star of the show. He entered the ring like a fucking badass and you can really imagine how his entrance would play out on TV - the slow countdown, the anticipation rising only to hear...

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

It'd send shivers down your spine, it'd be fucking terrifying if you were in the ring. It was brilliant to read and Hess was just unstoppable through-out the entire match. He eliminated a load of dudes and hit a Field Plow (FIELD PLOW! FIELD PLOW! #fieldplow) on damn near everybody. It took 7 men to get rid of him and so he even left the bout looking strong. Right now I'd say Amos Hess is my favourite character in the whole fed.*

Stars of the Show

Amos Hess - See Above

Spencer Miller - I'll put all of my Hess fanboying to one side and talk about how much of a good showing Spencer Miller had in this match. He's really had the biggest evolution in character since PCW was formed but in the completely opposite way to Kaiser. Whereas Miller was an arrogant, annoying, douchebag in the WCSF he's evolved into a cold, calculating, ruthless assassin type character which made him the most unpredictable entering the match. He damn near snapped everyone in half with that spear (which should definitely be Miller's new finisher) and was instrumental from the moment he entered. I know I wrote it so that doesn't really say much but even so I really enjoyed Miller and Hess' unspoken alliance and then how Miller betrayed him and played possum before being the final catalyst in Hess' downfall. Not many men would oppose Amos Hess and so it was interesting to see Miller chuck him out of the ring. He got a lot of offence in and was another that left the ring looking strong.

Ryan Haynes - Haynes entered the ring second and lasted to pretty much the end - there isn't really a bigger compliment to the character than that. He was part of the first big moment in the match when he eliminated Kaiser and managed to get to the last 3. Fans love to support the under-dog, especially a rookie too and you can really picture the crowd getting more and more behind him as the match goes on.

Daz - Daz was predictably great as you'd expect. He had the period during mid-way through right before entrant number 10 entered the match where he took out everyone, nailing Knight with the Dazaster Driver, hitting suplex's left, right and centre and at that point in the match it was much needed. Ending in chants of 'BRITISH ROSE! BRITISH ROSE!' it was one of those mark-out moments in the match. I think when Kaiser was eliminated Daz immediately became the favourite and his role in the finale was perfect. I really enjoyed reading his dynamic with Haynes and then with Foster at the end of the match. In a way he actually 'won' the match twice only to have it ripped away from him and whilst it was gutting for the character I honestly think I prefer Daz being the challenger chasing the gold rather than being the champion.

The Finale - I'm not going to go into too much detail regarding the finale because my character was involved a bit in it. One thing I will say is that I loved how Foster was written in the finale and I was honestly humbled reading how he was booked and so I thank you for that. I enjoyed the nostalgic tease of a UK/US showdown before we got down to three and the contrasting chants for Daz, Foster and Haynes was a really good moment in the latter stages, it really was the start of the emotional ending. I really loved reading the dynamic between Daz and Foster, it really was great and again it was humbling to see those friends battle it out in the end to win the gold. Let me tell you when I read that Enmascardo Leon had won the title in his first match I was truly gob-smacked. It takes a lot to prize emotion out of me when reading a sim-wrestling show but I've never been as shocked as I was when I read that because honestly before the match I'd have backed The Master to win the title before I picked Leon. Again it was really shocking when the Kaiser reveal was announced and the whole finale was masterfully written. I thought it was a clever twist and I loved that the show ended almost immediately after the match ended, leaving the crowd sitting right there on the floor next to Daz.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great show guys, really looking forward to the next show now!

I really enjoyed the show, unfortunately I suck at writing comments. I'll try to write a list of a few things I liked sometime tomorrow.

I enjoyed the Escalation match a lot.

- Ryan Haynes had a great showing. Over 60 minutes in the match coming in at #2, his stock will certainly rise after that performance.

- I enjoyed how the feuds were progressed during the match: Omega was able to eliminate two Disciples, but ultimately the numbers game was too much; Zaid was able to eliminate Johnny V but he needed help to do so; Miller and Foster's bad blood continued in impressive fashion.

- Santa Clause was a nice touch. I laughed out loud when he entered. Some nice comic relief for a match meant to be serious.

- Amos Hess was one of my favorites in this match, loved the #fieldplow explosion. Great stuff from him, and I loved how Miller turned his back on him, as he was able to see the bigger picture.

- The end sequence was very exciting. I thought Daz was surely going to win, then Foster, then Daz again, and when Leon eliminated Daz I was quite shocked. The removal of the mask was a great twist. Thought it was an excellent finish to and excellent match.

- Everyone looked great. Hess, Miller, Daz, Haynes, Foster stood out to me as the "top 5" so to speak. All looked like a legit threat to win the match and kicked some ass in the process.

I still haven't had a chance to read the stuff beyond the Escalation match, but I have to say that the Escalation match came together far better than I ever could have expected. There were some great moments and standout performers in there, particularly Spencer Miller and Amos Hess. Miller in particular, I think, impressed me more than he has so far in his PCW run. It was a really strong showing for him and I think it really legitimized him as a big threat. Hess's field plow run was pretty excellent as well.

I was absolutely shocked by the early booting of Cavanah. I figured he wouldn't win, but expected him to last to the final four or five at least. Then the ending came, and I went from rolling my eyes at the prospective of Enmascarado still being in it somehow (Santino style) to chuckling at the reveal of Cavanah behind the mask. At first I wasn't a big fan of the finish at all, but in thinking about it some more I think it adds another great element to Cavanah's character. As much as Daz winning would have been awesome, I think this provided an even more memorable moment than the big face veteran picking up the win, so good stuff there. I really hope this is leading into a Daz/Cavanah title feud.

Glad to see Brett get some action in there with Orion as well. I think the character has a lot of potential so it was cool to see him get a decent showing, especially in taking out Magnum.

Also, as corny as the Santa Clause bit was, it definitely made me laugh, especially his interaction with Sean Knight and Knight's elimination of him :lol

So yeah, plenty of stuff to like here. Looking forward to seeing where this is going.

First and foremost I think EVERYONE did a great job on this show. The mods are proud of all of you and you should be as well. I'm really glad this worked out and I think it is something that can be unique to PCW in the future so this was big for us. That being said there was a LOT to talk about with this card.

-First let me say the NRC vs BC match was great. You guys really blew me away. Great match and I really could visualize it. I have been really digging both teams and like that the rest of you do to.

-The other match was the Disciples vs Gryphon/Omega which I was part of so I won't say a lot about other then you guys did a great job I've loved working with BSM both in the WCSF and here and feel he really helped bring Amos to where he is. And I can't commend HFX enough for how he has helped push me even further. I will say when i put the "testify" thing I wasn't think of D-Von but I do get the similarities and sort of regret it now but it is what it is.

Now for the big one. Again great job to everyone. We really were not sure how this would work in the end but great job.

- Even knowing Kaiser was going to be eliminated early and that he was going to return for the win I was still a bit surprised and I was impressed.

-Amos is my character so I hate to say much but I will thank the others for putting him over. I didn't wrote a lot of the #FieldPlows (this seems to be a thing now :lol )but damn did Amos look good in that part.

-I am glad you liked the Santa part. That was something we discussed for a while and agreed to do but were not sure how it would come off. I was worried about it to be honest but glad it worked.

-Even knowing Daz was going to win I still for a moment doubted he would lose. An example of great writing.

-Miller's part was great to. Even if he did betray Amos.

Okay, so before I start to get heat for not reviewing shows, I do have a legit excuse. My Laptop Keyboard has been broken and it’s been hard enough writing matches, promos and every day nonsense, having to copy and paste individual letters just to complete a word. So to even think about getting in depth with comments has been a bit too much for me. Anyways, rocking the old Laptop right now, so I’m out of excuses.

ESCALATION

Knightfall: Good opening promo by Omega and Richards. I know HFX has always conceded that promo’s are the weakest part of his game. Not so anymore, he’s really stepped up. Gryphon’s accent has struck a good balance. It’s not overboard enough to be distracting, but its present enough to remind us he has an accent. Loved the dig about Hess not having a computer. Knight’s section was really solid. Established why he’s joined forces with Hess, touched on their history, used to right verbiage to fit into the Disciples gimmick and left room to further explain shit in the future. Just all around good work.

The Disciples vs. Omega & Gryphon Richard: I kind of hope these two teams become permanent fixtures in the tag ranks. We need the teams and whether NRC or the Brother’s Comeau wind up with the titles, I think the Disciples or the Canadian Wrecking Crew (Yes, that’s their new unofficial name as far as I’m concerned) would make good foils for either one of them. The Disciples vs. The Comeau’s in particular would be interesting, because of Hess’ Amish roots and the Comeau’s love of technology and video games. Also, Hess vs. God’s Favourite Wrestler, come on it writes itself. Anyways, thoughts on the match ... Nice touch with Barry and Knight in darkened versions of their usual gear. It’s good they haven’t dropped their own personalities completely, but rather their personalities have been corrupted by Hess. Liked the early aggression as the Canadian’s got the Shine on Knight. Nice to see Omega adding moves to his repertoire with the flying shoulder tackle and whatnot. Also, the little touches like Knight grabbing Omega’s ring gear to pull him to the blow to the head, I love. The aggression in everything the Disciples do was top notch, adds to the gimmick. The finish was very abrupt and worked well, not giving too much away. The distraction and rollup finish was the perfect way to end this, giving us a taste of what’s to come, without giving it all away up front.

Escalating Frustrations: Nice use of the PPV name in the segment title. I’ve been slightly critical of some of Valentino and Gia’s segments in the past. There’s a slight habit of over explaining stuff in the dialogue, and perhaps leaning into things a little bit too heavily. That’s improved drastically show to show and I think you’re finding a good rhythm with the characters now. I dug the over confidence and the line “Guys like Zaid need the 25 spot ... Guys like me, don’t!” That’s a great way to continue the feud, whilst putting yourself over.

NRC vs. The Brother’s Comeau: This was a fun match to write. I love Adrian Dale so much. He’s kind of more flamboyant (even more so than Darren Daniels back in the day) and over the top. Recessionista and Lust Have Driver are like the best move names ever lol. And the tension between him and Brody, and that period of developing a chemistry as a team has been an interesting tale to tell. I’m grateful for the mods for letting me kind of run with the one off teams like P.B.N and the Misfits and for booking this series, where we can see the development match to match against the same team. It’s the perfect story telling tool. So kudos.

Doctor’s Orders: Nick Foster has been one of the highlights of PCW for me. Shane Evans got to really break out from the Mafia shadow during the final days of WCSF. PCW, Foster has gotten that chance and has really impressed me as a character. Good build in to Foster’s appearance. It also adds a little heat into Escalation match. There’s so much going on heading into this match with Haynes/Daz/Kaiser and Zaid/Valentino and Magnum/Orion and Foster/Miller. Just good booking.

Escalation Match: May I just say, you guys are absolutely fucking insane for booking this. That being said, I’ve rarely been this excited and intrigued, just to see how it all comes together. Starting with Haynes and Kaiser is perfect, and a great way to play off their mini-rivalry over the first set of shows. Nice touch on commentary, establishing that these guys are setting a slow pace cause they’ve got a long way to go. Psychology in a match like this ... who’d have thunk it. I’m likely gonna just review this with bullet points of stuff that stood out, otherwise my review is gonna be longer than the match itself.

• Magnum Carter ... lol.
• Beautiful writing on Bishop’s entrance as he takes down everyone before coming face to face with rival Magnum Phillips. Not to mention the elimination shortly afterwards.
• Knight refusing to get into the ring was tremendous. Lovely touch on commentary with the heathen’s line.
• Kaiser managing to get the upper hand, taking everyone down just as Daz made his entrance was again great booking. And you know this is where I started writing as the paragraphs just got drastically longer ...
• I loved writing my section. So many bodies, different combinations you can set up, different and wacky lead ins to double teams moves etc. For someone like me, who enjoys trying to piece all this sort of stuff together, I had a blast. I had also completely forgotten about the little nod to Darren Daniels as Daz checks out his hands after chopping Adrian Dale. For those that don’t know, the original concept for Darren Daniels was that he and Daz are the same person, kind of a Christopher Daniels/Curry Man deal. Also little touches like Daz having to catch his breath because he’s out of ring shape and tweaking his hip after delivering the Springboard Forearm ... Hey, I guess I’m kind of good at this.
• Loved the way Dale was eliminated by the Comeau’s. Good follow up on the rivalry.
• Also want to mention how seamless this match has been thus far. We’ve gone through 4 or so writers at this point (probably more) and whilst there have been little tweaks in style and whatnot, it’s been very fluid and remarkably easy to follow.
• Santa Clause, beautiful touch. After some very serious back and forth for what, half the match, breaking it up with a little levity was fun. Also, the touch of the Comeau Brothers looking to Daz for explanation cause he’s the veteran was amusing. It had to be Knight that ruined the fun. So good.
• Hess catching Knight was amazing. The introductions and timing of said introductions has been spot on thus far. You guys deserve so much credit for booking this thing so well.
• It would have been nice to write Dean Brody’s section. Mention his and Daz’s roots as a team, throw in some classic double team moves etc.
• Setting up Haynes & Daz vs. All three Disciples was pretty awesome. Almost wish Valentino’s entrance was delayed a tad so we could have seen those five go at it.
• Here comes Omega! Again, great booking. Establishing the dominance of the disciples before having The Buffalo come to run wild all over them.
• Loved the set up with Valentino and miller surrounding Hess, only for Miller to turn on Johnny V.
• JOHNNY BRIGGS! Nice surprise.
• It has to be said, I really love Drake Bernard. The man of a 1,000 nicknames finally has a gimmick that he can absolutely own.
• #FieldPlow. That is all.
• Foster’s entrance and attack on Miller was bad ass. I loved Bernard trying to run interference and Daz taking him out so Foster can continue the assault. It was a good pay off to Miller attack on Daz and the segment between Foster and Daz a few shows prior.
• Viazon at #24 was another great surprise. I hope he kept Bernard’s bribe before eliminating him.
• The quick fire eliminations of Valentino, Zaid and Viazon were well done. Valentino getting caught by Zaid was well done and continued their feud nicely. Zaid’s narrow escapes were fun and I loved the Baseball Slide from Viazon to eliminate him. I half hoped Valentino would still be on the outside and kick Zaid’s standing leg out from under him for the elimination, but this worked just as well. Spencer Miller and Sean Knight have been the party poopers all match, so him eliminating both Briggs and Viazon was a nice touch.
• Working in Miller’s attacks and his three victims being there in the final four was genius psychology. The elimination followed by Miller’s attacking of all three competitors with the chair was terrific. Loving the way Miller has been booked since PCW launched.
• Daz vs. Foster would be a hell of a match down the road. I loved the bloodied Foster trying his best to compete and get back involved after Miller’s attack and Daz’s reaction, wanting to get his friend help.
• Shocking finish, played perfectly.

Dear Christ, never would I have expected the Escalation match to deliver like it did. With so many writers, it seemed destined to fail really, but a lot of credit has to go to the booking and organization of the mods, setting out a plan and executing it so well. Credit to the writers. You really delivered and contributed to some real highlights throughout. So many cool moments, and I love how so many characters got to shine. The finish was exceptional and really brought everything together. If we do the year end awards like WCSF, when it comes time to vote match of the year, this has to be at the top of the list.
