My "better late than never" thoughts on Oblivion, a damn good PPV from everyone involved!

NRC vs Comeau's
Great to start with a surprise, everyone loves a ladder match!! I liked the fast paced start, with these two teams that’s exactly what you’d expect with the adrenaline being so high. There were some very innovative spots with the ladder, like the double team dropkick off the ladder. There’s been so any ladder matches that it’s always hard to come up with stuff nobody has seen or read before. The finishing sequence was fantastic, I think all four of these guys are going to need to time off to nurse their wounds after this one!! I loved seeing Brody use his foot to stop his fall and kicking back up, I’ve always wanted to use that spot in a ladder match.

Orion vs Magnum:
I hope people liked the Orion vs Magnum match. It’s always good to work with Tim, and he definitely carried the mail in this match, and this feud, as I struggled to figure out how to write for a new character in Bishop. It’s been tough going, but fortunately I seem to have gotten a better handle on things now and there’s some good stuff planned for Orion in the coming weeks that I hope people will like.

Zaid vs Valentino:
Zaid is such a great heel, an entertaining dude who I could see being a smark favourite with his lines and his delivery. Asking himself the questions is a pure douche move too lol.

The match was solid, I liked how it was paced well and didn’t drag on too long. With a show that you pretty much knew was going to have some pretty long matches in Foster/Miller and Kaiser/Daz, it was refreshing to see a shorter match like this. I was kept guessing about what was going to happen with Gia, you knew something was going to happen and just waiting for it. I liked her kissing him to “help” her man, a very interesting finish that keeps the feud alive and adds another level of intrigue to the proceedings.

CRC vs Disciples:
Good match between the Canadian Wrecking Crew (great name btw) and Hess and his acolytes. It’s a bit strange seeing Hess involved here in a tag match when it feels like he should be competing in singles, but for one PPV it works just fine. It sucks that Knights writer has bailed, he would have been a nice addition to the ranks and I can’t help but wonder if Knight will be gone soon altogether and Barry gets some singles time. Gryphon Richard came out looking good, it’s still weird to see Omega teaming with someone other than Flash though.

Bit of a bizarre promo from Ace, intriguing, it seems like he’s a heel, yet he made it clear he’s going for faces or heels, so maybe he’ll be a bit of a tweener, I don’t know. Still, always good to see a new face in the ranks.

Foster vs Miller:
I liked Foster coming out of the gates strong and damn near wearing himself out beating up Miller. The butterfly suplex into the Cattle Mutilation was well done and inventive. Miller throwing beer into Foster’s face, what a waste of a beer! It was interesting to see a Last Man Standing match where the weapons and stuff didn’t come into play early on, other than the commentary you wouldn’t have even known what type of match it was. What a sick chair shot off of the running jump from Foster! Great spot. Always fun to see thumbtacks make an appearance in a violent match! Ouch, Miller tastes them first. Miller biting the open wound of Foster? He really is a sick bastard! Really liked the fan patting Foster on the shoulder and giving him the will to get up. The finishing stretch of this match was excellent, with both men not giving up and giving everything they had to get the win, both men come out looking better than before.

Daz vs Kaiser:
There probably is no better two writers at conveying emotion into a match than Daz and Kaiser, this match you could feel the drama reading it. Daz’s hip took a freaking beating, how much more can this guy take lol? Kaiser is such a complete asshole, it’s awesome! Pulling the ref in the way, the low blow right after, running a lap around the ring while Daz was half dead.

This match kept going up another gear and another gear as it went along. I think these guys hit each other with every move in each others arsenals. Daz always comes off as the toughest son of a bitch you'll ever see, the beatings he's taken in his sim career are second to none. I loved how you could just feel Daz getting more and more close to not being able to continue, and Kaiser getting more and more desperate, and yet more and more resolved to beat Daz for good. That's the mark of a champion I guess.

Anyway great finish to the match with Daz passing out and not giving up, exactly what you'd expect that character to do, full of pride.

Great show everyone, it's late to get these up but I feel efforts like this from everyone deserve get noticed and get some love and appreciation.
