Either Kevin Owen's can't draw a dime
Or nobody wants to watch the Raw after a Smackdown PPV

It's not so much Kevin Owens as it is that it's competing against football, and that ratings have generally been sliding, and that last week's show sucked.

The NFL had back to back MNF football games that ran right up against Raw. Add in the fact that it was week 1. The ratings have been sub-par for a while though. Nothing to do with anyone being champ.

That is most likely the reason, WWE does really bad in ratings if the is football on Mondays

I find it silly that anyone could think one man that's maybe on TV for 20 minutes out of a 3 hour TV show could be responsible for a ratings dip. Or that anyone would decide to not watch because who the world champ is.

Ratings get lower because the show is three hours and we have portions that go like this did on Monday.

Commercial break >>>> Jinder Mahal/Jack Swagger >>>> Commercial Break >>>> Shining Stars in action >>>> Commercial Break

Including breaks that's probably a legit 20+ minute period where no one was watching.

I think it does make a difference, in fairness. Or at least it should. Nowadays, given WWE has chased off everyone but the hardcores at this point, the champion probably doesn't have an impact on the ratings. But there was definitely a time when he did.

You would think WWE could use the sinking numbers of Raw and increase in SD ratings as a reason to argue with USA for a return to two hours. Which in my opinion would instantly make the show a more tolerable watch.

USA doesn't really care about RAW's quality persay, they only care that RAW is still drawing better numbers in the 8-9 time slot than whatever they put in that slot before RAW was three hours.
