Stroman plans worse than a Taker Mania match?

After lots of talk about Braun Strowman vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the match is most likely not happening now.

According to The Observer, the current plan is for Strowman to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and go on to get a major push as WWE's new monster.

The idea is to build him to a feud with future WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and a potential pay-per-view match with Brock Lesnar. As noted, that match could happen at SummerSlam.

We noted before that there was talk of dropping the match due to fan backlash.

Can you imagine a Reigns vs Stroman feud? Or even Brock vs Stroman? Man, those crowd reactions are going to be something else.

Well I was at Raw this Monday, and the "Big Guy" Ryback was there. Strowman towered over even him! So one would have to say that Strowman is indeed very big, perhaps even bigger than the Beatles.

It is important to remember that size doesn't matter, it is how you use it. Wait! What were we talking about?

I think these plans are better than Strowman vs Undertaker. They're not good plans, but they're better than that.

Giving Strowman a huge singles match at the biggest show of the year is insane. Having him wrestle Undertaker is even more insane because (a) people expect Undertaker's matches to be great these days, (b) Undertaker is likely to snap like a twig the first time Strowman botches a slam, and (c) this could be Undertaker's last match and for that reason, they should really pair him with a wrestler that people will actually remember 5 years from now.

Compared to that, having him win the Andre the Giant Battle Royale and get a brief main event run would be preferable. Nobody gives a shit about the Andre the Giant Battle Royale anyway. It means nothing, and could even be on the pre-show. Let him win it, who gives a fuck.

Sure, then he might main event a later pay per view against Roman Reigns, but at least it won't be an important show. And we're talking about Roman Reigns in the main event here, so it's a statistical certainty that he'll be involved in something terrible anyway. It might as well be this.

Then there's Strowman vs Lesnar ... and if Royal Rumble 2016 is anything to go by, that'll be fucking hilarious. I have no problem seeing that match at all.
