It's funny, I feel just the opposite. I can't get excited about matches between the legends anymore because I know that they're ultimately meaningless. These are people who aren't on television every week, who weren't around before the build up to Wrestlemania and who won't be around afterwards. Their feuds and matches come across as very shallow and frivolous as a result.
For me it would be like tuning in to the final episode of a television series and it's showing a whole bunch of new characters, with none of the regular characters involved. Then in the next season, we're back to the regular cast again. It wouldn't matter how good the episode was or how famous the actors were for that matter. I'd just be wondering why the hell it had been included. And more importantly, why weren't we given a proper season finale: the episode we had been working towards for a year?
I wouldn't mind maybe two legends wrestling at Wrestlemania, but any more than that is overkill to me. And those two guys should absolutely NOT be facing each other. That's just moronic.
If it were me, I'd only want to book two out of the following group on the Wrestlemania card: Brock Lesnar, The Rock, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold (unlikely anyway), Hulk Hogan.
If these guys are all eager to do business with WWE, spread them out throughout the rest of the year. Bring a couple more in for Summerslam. And some more in for Survivor Series, etc. And NEVER LET THEM FIGHT EACH OTHER. That way you're still building the roster and the novelty of the legends doesn't wear off as fast. And you get a few new matches and angles also.
