Who was the last Rumble winner that you went crazy for?

So I was going over the list of recent rumble winners and I noticed that the last five had a negative reaction when they won. So I was wondering who was the last winner you were truely excited to see win the rumble? For me it was Edge in 2010 because it lead to Edge vs Jericho at WM 26. I was kinda interested to see a new young wrestler winning the Royal Rumble. I was hoping it would go somewhere good. Which it didn't.

But mostly I was psyched to see Chris Jericho lose. It really seemed that he'd be the winner of that match, which would have been hugely underwhelming to me during most periods of his career to be honest. But he was just after returning with a terrible gimmick and had a string of awful shows, and it would have been the worst time to give him that kind of major win. I was watching the match with Kirbi and we both marked out quite a bit when he got eliminated.

I have to go with Edge in 2010. One reason was he was from my hometown and really enjoyed the match with Jericho at WM 26

Probably Rey. I also enjoyed Edge winning in 2010.

Randy Orton in 2009. It was less than a week after he punted McMahon, which everyone was going crazy over. They really fucked up Orton's push that year. There is no reason he should have lost to Triple H, and if you wanted to avoid having a heel win in the main event of 'Mania, then just not have the title involved in the first place. It wasn't like it was necessary for that rivalry as Triple H won it randomly.

Orton in 2009, he was on an incredible run.

Rey for sentimental reasons, '05 Batista for storyline reasons because I was pumped for that whole face turn and match with Triple H.

Has to be Edge, the last 4 have been rather infuriating and Del Rio was just hard to get excited about. Got a feeling next years will be good tho, too many stars in the making for it not to be.

Definately Chris Benoit for me he will always be my all time favorite wrestler. I was so stoked when he won the rumble.
