Final 10/7 WWE RAW rating, lowest number of 2013

Postby GameDesigner14 » Oct 09, '13, 9:47 am

Monday night's 10/7 WWE RAW drew a final 2.65 cable rating with an average audience of 3.71 million viewers. The first hour drew 3.69 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.74 million viewers and the third hour drew 3.69 million viewers.

Although overall viewers were up from last week (3.59 million viewers), this was down from last week's 2.68 cable rating and the lowest rating for RAW all year. It was also the lowest rating for RAW since early December (not factoring in holiday shows that fell on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve to close 2013).

Geez that is kinda low for them. Maybe they do need Cena back early.

The sad thing is that you know they'll blame recent low ratings on lack of Cena and not even consider that it might have more to do with their bad story writing or the huge amounts of filler on each card.

Exactly, they could have done this corporate angle the right way but I feel they started screwing it up a little when they started making The Shield look kind of weak.

How have they made the Shield look weak?? They have to lose sometimes, that's just the way things work. The Shield have been the most consistently pushed talent this past year, and only look "weak" when Bryan gets the upper hand.

If it were Cena beating them up in 3 on 1 handicap matches, I'd agree, but i think they've done a great job of making every major star in this feud look strong at points and not so at others.

Anyway, I'd blame the ratings on filler. They have a lot of good stuff on Raw, but when you then have to watch meaningless diva matches, re-run tag team matches that no one cares about (Khali/Marella vs Swagger/Cesaro) and yet another Del Rio squash, people are gonna change the channel.

A lot of the viewers they lost were probably watching Monday Night Football. The only good part of Raw imo was HHH getting knocked out by Show at the end.

They have been pushed consistently I'm not denying that at all it's just the past few weeks they've looked weak to me. a 3 on 12 handicap match, singles match losses here and there, six man tag losses on SD!. I'm not saying they've looked weak this whole time, just the past 2/3 weeks I feel.
