Who do you WANT to win at Money in the Bank?

Postby KaiserGlider » Jun 23, '14, 11:01 pm

I gotta say I'm really looking forward to this match. And I'm shocked at how unpredictable it actually is. There's a couple guys who have the cred to win it, and a couple breakout stars like Wyatt and Reigns that have been real hot recently. I could see someone really breaking into the main event with a win in this match.

Since we'll be trying to predict the actual winner in the Roundtables, I thought I'd make a thread asking who you would want to walk out as WWE Champion.

I went with Wyatt, because I'd be really intrigued to see him with the title and what it would do for his character.

I want Cesaro to win. I would love a main event of SS to be Cesaro vs Brock Lesnar for the title.

That's a tough one. With no guy currently standing out over any other I just haad to go with what I want to see storyline wise.

I went with bray, only because I think ambros is gonna win the contract match and I think a bray Wyatt / Dean Ambros mind game feud would be epic leading into a title match. I can see both guys pushing each other character wise to new heights and in my mind its playing out to be TV gold.

Plus that would open reigns / Rollins for a David vs Goliath type feud which I feel Reigns needs. He has to show that he is more than a Samoan Batista, he needs to become more than the top muscle.

Depends. If the winner is going to serve as a transitional champion before Bryan comes back to potentially face Lesnar at Summerslam then Orton is probably the safe bet to hold the title for a month. Most of the other entrants would suffer more from becoming a transitional champion.

If the champion isn't going to be merely a placeholder I'd want Bray to win, because I follow the buzzards and Wyatt is gold. I'd like Cesaro to win obviously but he's nowhere near ready for it not have they built him up at all since pairing him with Heyman.

My guess is that whoever wins will be the transitional champion until Bryan returns. I said in another thread, WWE knows Bryan as champ is best for business. I think who ever wins has to be a heel which leaves us with Wyatt, Del Rio, Orton, Kane, Cesaro, or a heel turning Sheamus(who I don't think they would have carry three belts). I don't think Wyatt's first reign should or would be as a transition. So we got Orton, Kane, Del Rio, and Cesaro left.

Of those Del Rio is probably out. He has little to no momentum and is rumored to not be renewing his contract. Lame duck. Cesaro isn't really Authority involved and I think he will turn face and fight Lesnar sooner or later. I just see him getting tired of Heyman talking about Lesnar and not him. Pluse it would make for an easy turn. Got to be Orton or Kane then.

Of the last two options I'd pick Kane. If only because they know it wont be a long reign and the guy has busted his ass over the years. Give him a little something to thank him for it. I don't see him sticking around to much longer anyway.

Reigns ...without a doubt THE hottest newcomer in years... Id love to see him hold that belt till Summerslam at least. Im tired with Bryan and his jesus look ... the guy is a decent main eventer...but horrible champ .. same as Boring Orton ... or Cena for that matter... id like to see some fresh faces in the championship main events like : Wade Barret , Reigns , Rollins , Ambrose , Fandango ( pushed good this time ) , Ryback , Axel and offcourse Adam Rose

weve been fed up with the same main events for years .. no one is waiting for Cena - Lesnar 122334567th time ... or Orton against whomever

Pretty much this. This is what I said in chat yesterday.

John Cena. Cesaro, Wyatt, and Reigns aren't ready yet, DEMON KANE is boring, Del Rio has no credibility left, Sheamus is US Champion and boring, and I don't see who Orton could really defend against. John Cena is boring too but I rather a Cena/Lesnar match than Orton/Lesnar.

I have no idea. This match is exciting because it's not obvious who will win, and that makes me more interested in watching it. But when I look down the list of participants, none of these guys should be champion right now.

Roman Reigns isn't ready. He's still too green and needs more time establishing himself outside of the Shield.

Bray Wyatt has absolutely no momentum right now after being destroyed by Cena.

Cesaro has no momentum and doesn't work as a heel. He's a talent that's being hugely misused.

Orton has been champ too recently and has no real viable opponents as champion.

Sheamus hasn't even had a proper story since returning and isn't all that over right now.

Del Rio has never been over enough to be champion and his main event status was a failed experiment at best.

John Cena is a really boring character, who has nothing new to do as champion unless he turns heel.

There are no good choices for a new champion in this match. Maybe there just aren't any good choices in general, but WWE put themselves in this position and now they have to deal with it as best they can. Really it seems like they just want a transitional champion until Bryan gets back - provided that he's going to be able to come back soon. In that case, the new eighth participant Kane might be the right option for champion. Bryan can return and win the belt again, to get revenge for Kane injuring his neck. It's not exciting, but it makes the most sense.

Even though he's not ready though, I'd probably just try to watch the match in complete mark mode and cheer for Roman Reigns. He's the one guy in the match that I really like at the moment. He's being used in the right way and has been consistently entertaining.

Out of that group I think Cena should hold the title others, since we seen them all before but some seem not ready yet in my books that is
