This Raw is dragging badly

Postby PorkChop » Apr 28, '14, 7:53 pm

They've lost so much steam since Mania, it really is 'same old same old' again.

Raw has been a chore to watch tonight.

Have they lost steam though? I think RAW is doing quite well these days. Wyatt feud with Cena is picking up. They are doing _something_ with Cesaro, Shield v Evolution is ramping up, Cody Rhodes is doing something (albeit long overdue), New Divas champ, New people from NXT coming up soon.

Nah, you are right, its same old same old.

Nah, you are right, its same old same old.

- Wyatt vs Cena is good. The highlight of the show.
- They've messed up putting Cesaro with Heyman. It makes no sense. We now have Cesaro w/Heyman vs Swagger w/Colter. 4 heels going up against each other.
- Paige hasn't even spoken a word since winning the title and had a strange promo before she won it anyway. Her match last week was awful too, but that was mainly due to Aksana. But overall, it's been a dull reign so far.
- Cody Rhodes has done nothing but push his brother for two weeks in a row.
- Evolution vs Shield is pretty good.
- The new people from NXT are Adam Rose and Bo Dallas, lol.

I'm looking forward to Extreme Rules quite a bit, so I'd say they're doing ok. Things were bound to slow down after the post-WM Raw as they always do, but several things hurt the shows, such as the dead crowd for Raw 2 and Bryan's absence due to his marriage and then having to sell the Kane beatdown. However, all things Wyatt and Evolution/Shield have been really good. I see why some would think the Heyman/Cesaro partnership is strange, but Cesaro's definitely getting a big push out of it which is good. It seems to me that WWE is doing more "shades of grey" stuff rather than traditional face vs heel stuff all the time. Cesaro is a face, Heyman is a heel but it still makes sense for Cesaro to want Heyman and Heyman to want to manage Cesaro. Wyatt vs Cena too, they are almost encouraging the crowd to support Wyatt, which is making for an interesting story.

Bo Dallas is the bomb, he will be a great addition to the roster. Adam Rose I'm not so sure of, but Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville will be great too.

And how does Cena v Wyatt, and Shield v Evolution (2 new things that you agree are good) make the show feel same old same old?

Basically your opening post should have said something like:

"There are some good things and bad things happening on RAW at the moment, but because I want to sound smarky, I'll say that the whole of RAW is a chore to watch, and it's the same old same old."

RAW always slows down post-mania, but this year they haven't done it nearly as badly as in previous years.

I think this will work out to be awesome for Cesaro. How often has it been that we've had someone over as a face being managed by a heel of Heyman's stature? It's a good dynamic, and I won't rag on it until it actually gets old.

How long do you think it will be before Cesaro decides he has heard enough of Heyman spruking(No idea how to spell that!) Brock Lesnar?

I agree with you, I ended up chatting with friends tonight. Now I am just going to wait till my local TV station posted it to their website so I can skim it and catch only the interesting parts.
