The Elias and Taker entrance was like three times as long as the match :lol

Good thing they didn't try to stretch it out, though. No way Taker would have been able to go for a long match.

That was the perfect way to do that match. Can't believe WWE got it so right. Even I was hype.

Not sure how to feel about that. It's like they wanted to keep Taker retired, but wanted to get Cena/Taker over with too so fans can't say "we never got that match", but also give it a shitty build so people wouldn't get their hopes up. So we did get it, with a shitty build, and it was only <5 minutes long. Maybe it would be better it if never happened at all.

The best case would have been it happening a decade ago. But yeah they never should have booked it for this year.

Well, in that 5 minute match

A) Undertaker couldn't connect with a halfway decent looking flying clothesline

B) Tried to use a big boot that clearly didn't connect

C) Cena struggled to lift him up for a back suplex

So I hope people can see why there are people like me who have no interest in seeing a full blown Undertaker match again.

I heard it was at New Orleans where he lost the streak and maybe the whole match was an attempt, in a very small way, for Taker to be remembered somehow for squashing Cena than losing the streak that was all so talked about and giving him - personally - a memory. But yes, odd how Cena was acting all frightened (yes, he's got to sell, sure) but seeing him in the other corner seemed a tad OTT. But hey ho, let us all pencil in Taker's match for next year...
