I'm in the vast minority on this one, but adding Triple H to the tag match actually made me less excited to see Survivor Series. I'm not the biggest fan of what they're doing with Jason Jordan, but I'd rather see him suplex some bitches than watch Triple H wrestle in 2017. This has turned into McMahonamania again and I just really can't comprehend why anyone could give a fuck about any of those characters anymore. When the commentators started treating the possibility of Triple H vs Shane as the main appeal of the Survivor Series match, my interest levels plummeted.
You know now that Balor and Joe are definitely going to be the first guys eliminated from Team Raw, and those were the only two I was really looking forward to seeing from that team. I'm sure they'll probably get rid of Roode and Nakamura from Team Smackdown early enough too, so they can focus on Orton, Cena and Shane.
Meh.
I'm not interested in Triple H vs Angle at Wrestlemania. Or Triple H vs Shane at Wrestlemania. Or Triple H at Wrestlemania in general. I don't know why he needs a match every year at this point. I don't think he's the draw he thinks he is by now, and there are a whole bunch of guys on the roster that are better and more relevant than him that aren't getting these opportunities. I can't think of a guy who I'd like to see take on Triple H at Wrestlemania, and people like Kurt and Shane would be real low on my list.
I'm only even interested in Angle wrestling if he can be paired off with someone new. Seeing him wrestle against guys he faced already almost 20 years ago doesn't appeal to me. The matches will just be a pale comparison of what was done before, which will be sad. When did Wrestlemania become the second rate nostalgia show?
